Located in Lajares, this charming house for $277 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Ideally located in the countryside, solarium, very quiet, all comfort, large terrace of 100m2 with wooden deck and heated pool, close to lajares, 5 minutes from the beach by car, near Corralejo, superb view, free high speed internet WIFI. Cosy interior with many decorative objects brought back by the owners during their travels, parquet flooring and fireplace. Large garden with many shady corners, a hammock corner and a barbecue corner (stone barbecue). The swimming pool is equipped with a CE standard curtain cover with electric opening and closing (for children).

We loved the outside space because there were different areas where you could choose between sun and shade. We also made good use of the pool. It felt very private but its elevated position gave a nice view of the landscape.
The kitchen was well equipped and the washing machine in the bathroom was very useful.
Small things such as opening the bedroom windows (but leaving the fly screens closed) and the fan helped to keep us cool when some of the nights were a bit sticky. We were glad we had a car because the distance into Lajares on a hot day would have been a little bit too far to walk.
Some of the neighbours were a bit loud late at night but that was probably just the luck of the draw the week we stayed. There was a black and white cat with a loud meow who hung around a lot. He probably has a Spanish name but we called him Roger. We didn't feed him because my wife is allergic to pet hair and we didn't want to encourage him.
Handy location for visiting Las Molinas at Villa Verde, Camel Tours (very close) by, El Cotillo and Corralejo.

We had a very nice 17 days at "Casa Brixio". The villa is very quiet, away from the main road. You have to know that, because you need a car for everything on the island (restaurants, shopping, beach). Theoretically you can also walk to the center in 20min, but there are hardly any sidewalks, at night it is very dark and the path is not necessarily beautiful. You have an open view to the front side over the landscape with several volcanoes. There are a few construction sites in the area, the noise of which did not bother us. The peace at night is fantastic, we have - also thanks to the good beds - rarely slept so well on vacation. The house is enough space for a family with 1-2 children. For more people, one person must stay in the living room. On the LED TV (with soundbar!) All streaming apps are installed and there is even an Apple TV. So you can easily connect your smartphones/pads to the TV. In all windows are mosquito screens, which is really important, because there were many, even if it is usually said that there are hardly on Fuerteventura. In the kitchen is everything you need, we really did not miss anything. The highlight is the terrace with the beautiful pool heated to 25 degrees and the wonderfully overgrown garden. The car can be parked in front of the house or outside the property (electric gate with remote control). For the barbecue lover there is a brick barbecue with sitting area where you can pursue your hobby with charcoal. There are several cats living in the area, which to the delight of my family came by daily and were happy to be petted. You just have to be careful that they don't sneak into the house. The contact with the owner was friendly, the on-site manager - Julie - is very friendly and helps immediately when needed - thank you Julie! We can recommend the house without any restrictions.

Lovely villa well placed and with good view, sad that after asking owner about construction noise locally and being assured there was none to find the villa 100ms or so of four major building projects, including one next door but one from the property. Three days of heavy rock breaking from a mechanical digger and every day the sounds of drilling and stone cutting. I think it will be a great place when this is all finished but that's not anytime soon with these building projects going on and other potential building plots marked out nearby.

The villa was perfect for us. Very clean on arrival and had everything we needed, especially liked the Nespresso coffee maker!
Pool was really nice too and the area was mostly quiet and relaxing. Not sure why there is a solarium in the description though. Not a problem for us but wonder if it should be removed.
Enjoyed early morning walks up and around the local volcano.
Would definately book this villa again if we return to the same area.

Aufenthalt genossen
Das Haus entspricht genau den Fotos. Es liegt etwas ausserhalb von Lajares in einem Villenquartier. Man geht nur wenige Meter und schon ist man in der Natur. Vom Haus aus kann man lange Spaziergänge machen, eine Wanderung bis nach Corralejo oder natürlich auf den Calderon Hondo laufen.
Es war alles sauber und die Einrichtung gemütlich. Der Garten ist wirklich sensationell und schön grosszügig. Es gibt so viele verschiedene Stellen zum Verweilen.
Da die anderen Häuser eher von der Rückseite her beginnen, nimmt man die gar nicht war. Mit dem immer wehenden Wind konnten wir die Strasse nie hören und auch kein Baulärm.
Die Kommunikation mit dem Besitzer und auch mit Julie vor Ort funktioniert tip top.
Lajares ist ein kleiner Ort, aber gut gelegen um die Insel zu erkunden. Der Supermarkt im Ort bietet alles. Da wir viel unterwegs waren, haben wir am Abend gegrillt und den Garten genossen, daher können wir das Restaurantangebot nicht beurteilen.
Gerne empfehlen wir die Unterkunft weiter.

Alles soweit prima, die Betten in den Schlafzimmern sind jedoch jeweils nur 140 und 160 cm breit. Ausserdem mehr Baulärm als erwartet.

Amazing villa
We came to this villa for a short brake with my husband. It's amazing. Very good for a family break with kids as well. Villa's design makes you feel welcome. Very clean, tydi and neat.View is amazing from the terrace with volcanoes, palm trees and plants situated in the garden.
Swimming pool and area outside is closed from neighbours so you feel like you are here by yourselves.
From another side it is close walking distance to local shops, pubs or bars.
No issues at all communicating with Julie, ladie who looks after villa.
We did enjoy staying here and hopefully will come back here again for longer stay.

Relax and Chill
Schönes Haus mit wunderschöner Terrasse und Garten. Eines der ältesten Häuser in Lajares (renoviert!) mit toller Atmosphäre und einem sagenhaften Blick auf den „heiligen Berg“. Wir (Familie mit 2 Teenagern) haben hier 2 wunderbare Wochen erlebt. Das Haus bietet alles was man braucht: gut ausgestattete Küche, Betten ok, Moskitonetze um Betten und vor den Fenstern, Dusche mit genügend Druck. Alles funktionierte einwandfrei. Grundstück ist sehr gepflegt (Gärtner und Pool Boy kommen regelmäßig vorbei). Der beheizte Pool war der Hit!
Zur Zeit wird direkt neben dem Haus gebaut. Das hört man, keine Frage. Aber wir fanden es nicht so störend. Einziger Kritikpunkt kommt von meinem Sohn: WiFi könnte etwas besser sein... Julie hat uns nett empfangen und verabschiedet. Overall: sehr empfehlenswert! Hasta la próxima!

Home like Home
We had an amazing time at Brice’s beautiful casa in Fuerteventura. It’s perfectly located near the popular town of Lajares and is ideal to be explore the region. The house has everything to hope for with a superb pool and amazing desert garden, it felt like an oasis. Full amenities, most of everything was available, including an AppleTv. We wish we couldve stayed longer, highly recommendable.

The building itself is very nice however the service and surroundings let it down. I cant go into to much detail due to the review limit size and unfortunately cant add photos. Most of the reviews are from when it was first listed, I hope this will give you a more up to date review.
The mains points are;
- There is building work (Date of stay June 2019) to the side (Foundations just finished) and the front (has all external walls up) of the villa. You can see it and the workers and they can see you directly from/into the 2nd bedroom and also from/into the garden, pool and part of the decking. Given a lack of privacy and added noise leading to the inability to relax.
- Pool gets dirty within the day after cleaning, id assume due to the building works producing dust.
- No pools towels provided.
- No soap was provided even in the bathroom.
- No drinkable water provided as stated in the welcome pack.
- Outside furniture is sweated stained, you can see an outline of a person on them + no pool towel to cover them. Wouldn't know many people who would want to use them.
- Also during our stay the RCD's kept tripping killing all power including the fridges, due to the external water pump leaking (This feeds all the water to the house, inc the toilet) an interim solution of plugging an extension lead in from another socket in turn bypassing the RCD (a safety device)was given. Once the extension lead started to become covered in water due to the water pump still leaking we removed it as that was the reason the RCD was tripping in the first place. We then had no running water for the whole evening and next morning. It was fixed by the time we returned in the afternoon and I doubt it would happen again. However it does show the disregard for the guests safety.
Unfortunately we did not have a pleasant or relaxing stay and will not be returning.

Ein wunderschönes, ruhig gelegenes Anwesen, ganz besonders der großzügige Außenbereich. Hier findet man immer ein schönes windgeschütztes Plätzchen, in der Sonne oder im Schatten.
Der Garten ist sehr gepflegt und der Pool angenehm temperiert. Traumhaft ist der Ausblick durch die Lage auf einer Anhöhe. Das Haus selbst ist schön eingerichtet, mit allem ausgestattet was man so braucht. Lajares ist auch zu Fuß für Restaurantbesuche gut zu erreichen, eine Taschenlampe sollte aber mitgenommen werden. Vielen Dank auch an Julie, die uns super nett betreut hat.

A lovely and comfortable home with all the facilities you need to make your stay very enjoyable.
We particularly liked the outside spaces, which allowed you to spend more time in the fresh air. Lovely location and good views but with very good privacy. We really enjoyed Lejares with its laidback attitude and artistic feel. No negatives for us just wish we could have stayed longer.

A beautiful villa with peace and privacy
We can thoroughly recommend Casa Brixio as really lovely place to stay on Fuerteventura. The villa is well-designed and beautifully appointed. It has a lovely peaceful location and is entirely private with uninterrupted views towards the coast south of Corralejo. The location is excellent, being just 30 mins from the airport on good roads and with a good choice of restaurants and shops just 5 mins away in Lajares. The beaches near El Cotillo and Corralejo are both only a short drive away, but the sunbeds and the pool actually make trips to the coast quite unnecessary, particularly on windy days when the deck at the villa remains wonderfully sheltered. We would recommend a visit to the Centro de Arte in nearby La Oliva. It has an excellent collection of modern art by Canarian artists and an interesting sculpture garden.

This villa is every bit as wonderful and relaxing as the photos show. The interior is tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean. The exterior is like a little piece of paradise! We've had a fantastic week chilling in the villa and enjoying the local area. If you want a lovely retreat in a perfect villa then I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Enjoy!
