Great location. Clean rustic property in a beautiful natural setting. A quiet hidden gem

A warm welcome from Armand, with the added touch of flowers & wine. The apartment was a little old fashioned but the view from the verandah towards the Cite was fabulous and certainly made the stay special. However do beware that you are likely to get bitten by mosquitoes. You cannot get to the canal, despite it being below the house, as it is too overgrown. You can walk into the city but its at least a kilometre from the house along rue Achille Rouquet to Rue Buffon and then downhill towards the station, however after a long day exploring the city it is a long slog back. We would recommend using the underground parking at Gambetta, safe, secure, clean & reasonably cheap. There is a number of hypermarkets close, by car and a boulangerie at the end of rue Achille Rouquet.

Excellente visite
Nous avons choisi ce gîte en raison de sa belle position à Carcassonne, à seulement 10 minutes de la Cité, car nous sommes allés regarder le feu d'artifice du 14 juillet avec ma maman de 79 ans. Ce gîte était excellent, Armand est un super hôte et nous y retournerons avec des amis à l'avenir. Le balcon était génial, même par une chaleur de 39°C, car il y avait une brise bienvenue.

We really enjoyed our stay in Carcassonne. We read all the reviews, some of which included the fact that a car was essential. We love to walk, which was just as well. Because of this, we didn’t miss being able to drive around the area.. We did hire bikes though, so we were still able to travel further afield. One of the main reasons we loved our trip, was Armand. What a lovely guy. He couldn’t do enough for us and for that reason we would love to return.

The apartment is so lovely, Armand the host was really friendly and welcoming. The place has everything you need. It was quite cold during our stay so the extra blankets were useful. The views are breathtaking. You need a car and there are lots of places not too far away to visit. It is not possible to walk along the canal from the apartment but we found nice flat walks a short drive away

Wunderschöner Blick über das Tal der Aude
Das Objekt legt an einem Hang gegenüber der Cité von Carcassonne. Der Ausblick ist superb. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Wohnung ist vollständig ausgestattet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Auch die Stadt bietet zahlreiche interessante Plätze.
Leider war das Wetter nicht so gut wie erhofft.

Chez Armand de Carcassonne
Excellent accueil de M. Asquini, maison bien située avec vue sur la cité, au calme, pas de bruit, pas de voitures... Cuisine bien équipée, chauffage efficace (nous sommes en février...). Nous avons fait un très agréable séjour hors saison dans des lieux touristiques habituellement très fréquentés, mais pour l'occasion calmes et silencieux. Nous conseillons la région... et l'hôte !

Wonderful place in an unbeatable position
It is a lovely, very spacious flat with everything you need. But what makes this place so special is the balcony from which you have the most amazing view of Carcassone, especially at night when it is illuminated. But also the little balcony in front of the bedroom overgrown with bougainvillea is very enchanting.
Armand is a very charming landlord, looks after his guests very well, and is always available when needed, but never intrusive.
When we arrived in the beginning of January the flat was warm and the fridge already filled with all things necessary for breakfast, and also a good bottle of wine was waiting for us. Internet is fast and strong.
Perfect place to visit Carcassone and the Cathar country.

Muy buena ubicación y muy completo
La casa está ubicada a menos de 5 minutos del centro y te sientes como estar en un entorno rural. Muy bien equipada y Armand, el dueño, esta en todos los detalles. No falta nada, es más, me sorprendió que tenía hasta café, azúcar , lavavajillas y hasta detergente para la lavadora. También nos encontramos con flores naturales en el florero de la mesa y caramelos. Las vistas son inmejorables. Se ve el castillo y hasta el pirineo nevado de fondo . La cama de matrimonio es cómoda. Lo único que recomendaría es poner mas almohadas porque me parecieron escasas y poco firmes. Si bien la casa tiene moqueta en casi todos lados, está muy limpia y no me dio alergia para nada. Armand es una persona muy agradable y trata de entenderse en castellano. Seguramente repetiremos.

Le propirétaire s'est montré d'une grande gentillesse et flexibilité. Nous y avons passé de bien enviables moments. Le site était magnifique avec une vue sans pareil sur le chaâteau.

Propriétaire attentionné et très chaleureux. Location spacieuse avec tout le confort dans un cadre magnifique apaisant et calme. De la terrasse une vue imprenable sur la Cité médiévale de Carcassonne et des Pyrénées. Située idéalement pour la découverte des Châteaux Cathares et les promenades le long du Canal du Midi.

Belle découverte en pays Cathares
Excellent séjour familial à la découverte des châteaux Cathares. Belle location, idéalement située très spacieuse avec tout le confort nécessaire au sein d'un magnifique cadre extérieur et apaisant. De la terrasse, nous avons apprécié les couchers de soleil sur la cité médiévale de Carcassonne.

Huit jours chez Armand
Accueil très chaleureux, location très bien équipée, tout était prévu dans le frigo et les placards pour qu'on n'ait plus qu'à s'installer.. y compris cadeaux d'accueil. Vue magnifique sur la Cité et les Pyrénées. Parfait. Merci. Michel LAROSE

Charmantes Anwesen mit traumhaftem Ausblick
Das Haus und die Lage ist für mobile Menschen mit Selbstversorgerambitionen ideal, einen Balkon mit ähnlich schönem Ausblick gibt es sicher kaum mehr in Carcassonne, es waren traumhaft schöne 14 Tage in einem autenthischen südfranzösischen Landhaus mit optimal ausgestatteter Küche und einem warmem Empfang.
