Situated in Twentynine Palms, this attractive house for $203 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. The living room has a cozy fireplace, perfect for the colder nights during winter months. During the summer, the main patio includes a 9 ft deep pool just steps away from the front door. Each bedroom ( 1 Queen, 1King bed) has its own bath, plenty of space for 4 or 5 people. Includes all kitchen needs, cable and Wi-Fi, access to washer and dryer. The entire space provides for a cozy and spacious retreat.

The photos present an impression of a fairly small place with a shared pool and tiny bedrooms. It's not that at all.
The property is quite large: the pool isn't shared so you have it all to yourself, there's also gigantic covered hot tub (not pictured), an outdoor kitchen, two separate shaded lounging areas, and an outdoor bar with a stereo and fridge. Everything is incredibly richly decorated with the fruits of a lifetime's collecting of local art and some delightful kitsch too.
Inside, the master bedroom is large and comfortable, the kitchen is equipped with everything you need *including sharp knives* which has to be a first. The second bedroom is much smaller but has its own en suite and plenty of storage. It's also guarded by a collection of Native American life-size statues and art.
Nothing is particularly new, though everything worked just fine. My tastes lean towards the quirky and eclectic, lived-in style and I found it perfect. Those looking for pristine, white, international Ikea minimalism will want to go elsewhere.
The hosts (Ron and Theresa) are lovely people and made us very welcome; I'm not sure how to describe their approach other than to say it's a blend of the best bits of a couple renting out their vacation home and a professionally-run business. They're on text/cell and full of personal recommendations.
You're only minutes from Joshua Tree, it's a great home base from which to explore the park. Local stores have everything.

The pics just cannot convey the charm, uniqueness, and all-around appeal of this perfect little slice of desert. We were totally blown away!
The hosts were marvelous and very friendly.
The house and yard are very fun, private, and accommodating.
Very close to Joshua Tree Nat’l Park and all that it has to offer.
We could not have been more impressed or happy with our stay. Can’t wait until next year!

It was big and DEEP which my 9 year old was SO excited about. The entire outside is like a huge compound, including a complete outdoor kitchen! The hot tub was amazing! The house was well appointed with everything you could ever need. The master bedroom is HUGE with TONS of storage! It’s just a magical property, so special! The Hosts were the best hosts we have ever had! So friendly, helpful and wonderful! They gave so many suggestions of things to do! Warning, once you get to the property it is REALLY hard to leave! 10/10 and a million stars.

Ron and Cindy are wonderful hosts. Sent a text to us to make sure we had everything we needed . Loved the welcome sign when arriving. The outdoor area is so fun and relaxing. Lots of fun outdoor lights at night. The pool and spa are awesome, I love the 9 feet deep pool. Having your own bar makes it so much fun. Very private and quiet lots of morning birds. The house had everything that we needed. It is a bit rustic but that's a positive rustic. The yard is its own botanical garden with so many amazing cactus, succulents and other plants.My favorite part was the doves nest on the back patio. I got to watch baby birds hatch and the male and female attending to them. Thank you again and we'll be back before you know it. Enjoy your stay!

This wonderful oasis in the desert is right on the National Park Road into Joshua Tree National Park. Also, a short drive to grocery stores and restaurants.

This property is an oasis of calm and comfort. Its whimsical style adds to this. We appreciated the winter holidays touches added to the decor! The communication with the host was great, seamless check in / check out process. I am sure we will return.

The pool and patio area are quite spacious and well decorated. I liked the bar area with its own refrigerator. Gas BBQ by the bubbling jacuzzi grilling steak and chicken. Inside the house has all sorts of interesting sights and lights. I like that each bedroom (2) has its own bathroom with shower. We did Thanksgiving with family and really enjoyed milling about the place. Each morning I would do a quick workout in the lovely desert air by the deep blue swimming pool. We will be back.

Ron is such a wonderful host, responsive and accommodating. The property is so magical and perfect for relaxing or staying up all night. I think this was my fifth time back to his place and I will keep coming back! My friends had a wonderful time, thanks so much for having us again! <3

quick two day stay after Pasadena business meeting... Loved it! Truly a wonderful stay and the place was outstanding... kitchy, cute, and the pool, hot tub, ambience was beyond outstanding. would visit here anytime! loved it! spent a day and a half visiting Joshua tree NP and the rest of the time lounging at the pool, hot tub and reading books from the expansive library! This place is wonderful! Hosts were beyond accommodating - just perfect!!

We had a great time just kicking it by the pool most of the day. Place is easily big enough for more than four people. The pool had no chlorine which is great just salt water My friends and I were very happy, Having cocktails, Playing games and hanging out by the pool. Hopefully we can come spend some more time by the pool in the future.

It is less than a mile from the visiter center and just a few miles from the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park.

Walking distance to many coffee shops and fast food restaurants, a short drive to shopping and nicer restaurants. If you are going to Joshua Tree park definitely stay here, it is just a couple of miles from the park entrance.

The photos of the home, particularly the grounds and pool did not match what we found when we arrived. This is a desert property and the pool was the main attraction. The pool was fouled with algae or worse. The front gate is opened with difficulty and the fence around the pool is falling down. And the interior of the property was dusty and not kept up. The overhead fan was too dirty/dusty to turn on, cushions are worn dirty. The air conditioning units are rusty and filthy, so we dared not turn them on. When we arrived the washer and dryer were full of laundry. We removed and folded items in the dryer and ran the dryer for the wet clothing in the washer. There were astonishing nests of extension cords and electrical wires, all plugged in and looking like a code violation. The house is very tired and dirty.

My wife and I booked this house solely based on the photo of the pool and it did not disappoint. It felt secluded and private though it was just a few blocks of Main Street. There was a small outdoor bar and bbq that we didn’t see in any of the photos which was nice and the hosts were about as nice as could be.

Hidden Oasis
Perfect place if you are visiting the area, step through the gate and find a hidden oasis. The atmosphere was very eclectic and relaxing, plenty of room for everyone to spread out and kick back. Clean and had all the necessary needs to make a great week.

Amazing oasis in the desert
This house and property was stunning! The pool and outside patio was large and surrounded by beautiful large palm trees and flowering bushes. Every morning hummingbirds and a few other colorful birds would show up.
The house was comfortable and we'll decorated.
Although twentynine palms town is small there were plenty of restaurants. Grocery store is only minutes away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back some day.
