worst experience ever.

Strong smell of mold in and from tve bathroom. loud noise from street through closed but unmuffled windows until 5 in the morning (mid week) all towels as small as hand towels had to cancel remaibing days.

To go to for the Paris cafe/bar experience, but not for the luxury! I would go again, but,..

Bistrot Les Sans Culottes-a bar with a historical context with rooms above in 11ème arrondissement . Great atmosphere, although, for me, there was very little difference to the hotel accommodation when I visited 50 years in Paris ago - as a student. As someone passing through Paris, perhaps, I was little different to most of their nightlife guests. I had arrived late on a train from Milan, but I had chosen the hotel, because the bar/rooms would be open late. The owner, manager and staff were great, when I arrived, with a bike, just before midnight! The bar was just how a visitor would expect to find a Paris cafe - Worth a visit even if you do not stay. I traveled with my folding bike, which they agreed could be locked away in the bar overnight. I was told the cleaner would be there to open up. Unfortunately, the next morning the cleaner was not there, as anticipated, but after a telephone call she arrived straightaway. She was really delightful!

You accept it for a Paris cafe/bar experience. If you want a different ( i.e more luxurious) experience, it is not for you.

not suitable for family with kids nor for non smokers

it’s in middle of Bastille & close to metro station

it’s located in bar area which are open late night & causes lot of noise unable to sleep plus has no air conditioning so with windows closed you also smell cigarette from bottom which people smoke which is tough to sleep if non smokers. the room was very small hardly space to move.

The accommodations, needs updating , no view only wall, curtains hanging of , one plug socket , no wardrobe , bathroom very small and needs updating and looks damp and the front of property looks nothing like the pictures

Great stay great bistro fun part of town.

Fantastic bistro with a small hotel attached..we arrived late and exchausted to a packed bar..the manager checked us in and carried our cases for us as room was on second floor..we came down it was 2345 ordered a snack and drinks...and watched Paris life . Room was bigger than some four star hotels.very clean.we will stay again

Beware the street is people only at the weekend so taxis cannot get down.u have to walk with luggage. Not hotels fault but a warning.helps taxi driver as well

Nice, clean space with friendly staff in a very central location.

I found the accommodation to meet all of my expectations. It is a safe place to travel if you are a solo traveler, for sure. Nice, clean place near a central metro station and near the Bastille square.

I was a little confused by the check-in process but overall the staff was very friendly and willing to support.

Cheap stay for the proximity to the station, terrible conditions.

Close to Gare de Lyon

Extremely noisy all night long, room smelled strongly of bleach and vinegar to the point I woke up with an allergic reaction.

Decent stay for a few days to visit paris

Friendly place, good location. We good lucky and got a room on the 4th floor away from the noise of the street. Room was clean.

not even sure there was wifi. very high humidity in the bathroom, the towels never dry.

I would visit this place again.

good access to the east and west stations. you can take dinner at your hotel, and actually it was nice and affordable.

bath room is a little bit rusty. you cannot leave luggage after 11am.

Really nice spot . close to Bastill Metro,

Location was good for me & it had a very good affordable restuarant

It was quite noisey (quite a happening street/area but I knew this when I booked... I was so tired so I really slept through it...

Great value for money in a great location

The hotel in a terrific location - near to the Bastille monument and is a great location to explore Paris. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the bathroom was good enough. The staff were helpful. They don't do breakfast, but there is a very nice boulangerie at the end of the road. There is also a self service laundromat on the same street as the hotel (Rue de Lappe). Given the price and the location I thought it was excellent value for money. Also the restaurant is really good. I was in France for two weeks and this was the best meal I had in that time. If I visit in future I will probably stay here.

There are few things to be aware of, none of which bothered me but might make this property less suitable for some travellers. The Rue de Lappe is a pretty lively area with several nightclubs. I was on the fourth floor, and the noise wasn't a problem, but I might not have enjoyed a room on the first floor as much! Also the only access is via a narrow staircase - again not a problem for me, but probably suitable for someone who is unfit or has reduced mobility. Finally while the room was good for the money given it is in central Paris - it is a bit old fashioned. There is no air-conditioning and the bathroom is wasn't big. The bracket for the shower was broken, which was a bit annoying,

Great location if you want to party or don't mind if it's super loud.

Our room was facing the very busy street full of bars with loud noise until very late on a Tuesday night. Also the walls of the shower were very moldy. Long steep stairs with no elevator. All no problem if you're young and not so picky I guess. ;)

Great price-value choice in the party district.

It is a great price-value choice. Great location near the subway station. The room and the bathroom was clean.

It is located in a party street, so be prepared, if you get a street front room, it can be very noisy. If you arrive during the day, the place is closed as it is a pub, so you may have to call the host.

A stay with strong french vibe in the heart of Paris

ITA: Personale molto gentile. Camera sorprendentemente molto silenziosa vista la zona molto movimentata. ENG: Very firendly staff. Room surprisingly quiet despite being located in a very busy street.

ITA: Solo una presa nella stanza. Non abbastanza per due persone. ENG: Only a single plug in the room. Not enough for two people.

Friendly hotel at at a great price for the location

Good value hotel with late night bar. The street is noisy with late bars and clubs. The location is great for the busy Bastille District and walking distance to Gare de Lyon, which is originally why I booked it.

Great value for money, pretty basic accommodation but very clean. The cosy bar is a nice bonus. Would have been difficult to sleep before 3am if we wanted to.

We got lucky with the parking, otherwise this might have been a problem.
