Very pleased with my stay; AND, upon arrival, was welcomed by a menagerie of turkeys, ducks, guinea fowl, rabbits, chickens, and birds. Delightful surprise.

Thank you to the owners Chris & Todd for a wonderful stay at their quaint cottage. From the time we pulled up and were escorted down the pathway to the cottage by “the boys” (beautiful turkeys) and then joined by a host of more turkeys, chicken, roosters, bunnies & a couple of dogs & cats, we knew it was going to be a great trip! It was so peaceful there, the perfect break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The place is spotless! Chris & Todd are the ultimate hosts. Even left us some fresh eggs to take home. We will definitely be back soon!

The cottage is very nice and cozy. And the hosts are so welcoming along with their feathered and furry welcoming committee of turkeys, ducks, chickens, bunnies, kitties and pups. It is so enjoyable and relaxing to spend time here while visiting Gettysburg.

Loved the long drive and privacy. Being greeted by all the various animals was a treat!! We thoroughly enjoyed it, perfect for an anniversary. Was set up just right for a couple!!

Chris and Todd are phenomenal. The animals that greet you at the door every morning are incredible. Super close to Main Street with tons of attractions within minutes! We will definitely be staying here again!

My husband and I previously stayed at the pocket cottage for bike week and just had to return. The cottage is just spectacular!!!! Chris and Todd are AMAZING hosts and so is Izzy there dog as well as all the farm animals. The cottage is stocked with all you would need for your stay. If you’re looking for some place to getaway from all the noise and craziness from your everyday life, then head over to The Brierfield cottage where you will definitely have peace, quiet and tranquility!!! My husband and I enjoy our stay whenever we go. Chris and Todd, you guys are the best host ever. Thank you for the wine, drinks and snacks. We have stayed in many places for our vacations but your place is our #1 vacation spot!!!!! Thank you so much for your hospitality!!! See yous in July for bike week. 🤗🤗🤗

Got in pretty late. Lights were on and easy to find. Appreciated the treats that were there for us. That was a nice touch. Loved the farm animals :-). Beautiful property!

This was absolutely the best place we’ve stayed yet, since coming to Gettysburg! We’ve tried to book before but was always unavailable. And now I see why. Absolutely perfect!! The hosts are amazing! And the animals are precious!! We loved every single thing about this cabin, and cannot wait to book again for our next stay! I literally cannot recommend enough!! I’d give 10 stars if I could!!

Either of the two cottages were a perfect place to stay for touring Gettysburg. We were a party of two looking for a quiet place to stay while touring Gettysburg…. And we found it here. The cottage was better than described, immaculately clean and had many nice touches the owner provided (Frozen beer glasses in the freezer, multi strip outlet by the bed, snacks in the fridge, coffee) It was a very nice touch. All in all, it was a great value for the very reasonable price, and a wonderful, relaxing stay. Highly recommended for a couple.

This was a perfect stay , nothing could have been better. The cabin was adorable and equipped above and beyond our expectations. The animals brought us much entertainment and we loved being able to interact with them. This made our trip to Gettysburg 100 times better with a quiet comfortable place to escape after a busy day in the city. Thanks to the amazing host !

We enjoyed our stay immensely. The cottage was clean, and was well-appointed with everything we’d need. The owners couldn’t have been any nicer. We loved feeding the turkeys and chickens (the hosts provided food for them). It was so much fun. We were in the country, but not far from the battlefield or town proper. My husband wanted me to be sure to say this property would be great for an advertisement for VRBO.

Our night in Pickett’s cabin was so peaceful and restful. After a day exploring the battlefield, this property was an amazing surprise. Nestled in the woods with a menagerie of comical and friendly fowl and rabbits, the hosts provided all the extra touches we needed to unwind and forget the world. We drank Pinot Grigio they gifted us in the screened gazebo and fell in love with this calm side of Gettysburg. We not only recommend, but urge others to experience this hospitality in the heart of history, agriculture and nature’s beauty.

Our stay was simply perfect. Chris and Todd are amazing hosts- the property is beautiful, clean and well cared for- the cottage had so many personal touches to make the stay that much better- the pets on the farm were the best- turkeys, chickens, bunnies, dog, cats… all friendly. I hope -and intend to- to be able to stay here again!

I try to take a mini vacation every year for my birthday, and I was not disappointed this year! The cottage was so cute and comfortable, and the animals were so friendly! A thunderstorm rolled through one evening of my stay, and I was able to sit in the screened-in porch and listen to the wind and rain in the trees without getting wet. :) The hosts left lots of little snacks and drinks, and feed for the animals, and sent me home with eggs from the chickens and a massive bag of tomatoes! I am absolutely amazed by the everything about this little place, and I am already recommending it to others!

If you want a quiet country setting for peace and relaxation or you want to be close to Gettysburg, this is your place!! Loved the enclosed porch to sit outside and enjoy the summer nights. The bottle of wine and snacks was an appreciated added perk. The cabin was just a perfect and needed getaway!! Hope to return for R&R again!! Plus talk to the welcoming crew!💞

I felt it necessary to write a review because from our arrival to leaving it was one of my best experiences in a place to stay. Turkeys greeting you as getting out of my car and throughout our stay. Chris was very pleasant and friendly. Fresh flowers in the table, small treats and juices and water and wine in the refrigerator. The place was very cozy and just as close to perfect for a quiet getaway. The cottage was very clean and property well kept. Along with the turkeys and chickens there were others animals like ducks bunnies and other birds to watch. I had a peaceful easy feeling through the entire stay and will definitely be back. So much better than a hotel. Thank you Chris.

We had a fantastic stay. The cottage is as wonderful as it says in the listing. Every little detail was just perfect. Lots of wonderful extra touches. We loved the welcoming committee. Staying at the Pickett Cottage at Brierfield was a wonderful experience. It’s like having a slice of heaven. The peace, the tranquility and the farm animals that visited you everyday was just so peaceful. The owners Todd and Chris were both just so warm and pleasant. They made sure our stay was pleasant and that our cottage was stocked with all we may need. My husband and I have already booked a weekend getaway within two months and we are definitely going back next year for bike week and both our stays and any other future stays in Gettysburg will definitely be at Todd and Chris’s farm.. The Pickett Cottage at Brierfield!!!! Thank you to you both for letting us stay at your cottage!!!!!
