We have stayed at Sunset Chateu 3 times and absolutely love the location of this place. We loved this particular unit because of the private balcony upstairs in the master bedroom. This unit was clean and reasonably priced but could use some updating. Just cosmetic issues like new paint and carpet would make a huge difference.

We were changed from our original place to this one due to “unforeseen circumstances”. This place is in a great location, pretty far walk out from the condo onto the beach though but walking distance to shops and restaurants. Walking distance to playground close by for kids. Place was clean enough but could definitely use a deep clean. Parking is great for one car- it was covered! Check in was easy and convenient. It was also easy to contact rental company for any concerns during our stay. Would stay here again!

Loved being higher up on 6th floor and not 1 but 2 balconies! One private off the upper floor bedroom and one shared. You could see down to the water and it was crystal clear!!
We enjoyed watching the manatee, schools of stingrays, dolphins
and lots of smaller fish all around the area. It was
walking distance for food and entertainment. It's an older property yes, could use some freshing of paint ..sure but your at the ocean! Who cares. The price was more than fair for all that you got staying there and right on the beach. We concidered this an absolute bargin! We can not wait to go back. Definately staying here again!!!!.
Loved how Treasure Island is so laid back and peaceful...not over developed.... so more private unlike for example being at Clearwater that is now stressfull, crowed and chaotic!

We loved everything about the unit, except it wasn’t as clean as I had hoped. Specifically the kitchen. There was a clump of something that looked like cream cheese on the refrigerator handle and I don’t think the coffee cups were washed after the last use. Various other signs of a less than stellar cleaning job. But the view was awesome and the location was perfect!

We enjoyed our stay. Condo was very nice. Everything worked as should….including refrigerator which we saw an earlier review that said it wasn’t. Gorgeous view on the balcony…..especially the sunset! Loved Treasure Island…..had some issues with red tide but that is no fault of the owner. Owner was very responsive. Very friendly people around there. Pool was nice.

We really enjoyed our vacation. The place was beautiful, inside and out, with minor needed updates and fixes. The living room couch is broken down and uncomfortable to sit or lounge upon and the refrigerator and freezer were not keeping items cold or frozen. This can be a relatively easy fix. We hope to come back next year. It was a good time.

There was construction going on in the building and the road out front the entire stay. Also construction in the condo right next door. Drilling, banging, beeping sounds the entire stay! The fridge didn’t really cool what was in it. The bottom step to the stairs was wobbling and dangerous. Bathroom sink didn’t drain. Definitely needed a really good ceiling job as well. Location was great but extremely disappointed with everything else.

A lot of previous reviews talked about old appliances, well pretty much old everything. The appliances are all new looking like the kitchen has been remodeled. The beds and mattresses are still new, updated looking. Grouting could be redone. Carpeting could be replaced as well as downstairs furniture. Well it worked just fine for us because we spent most of our time outside. I don’t need someplace to be pristine. Look guys, it’s on the beach (which was fabulous as well as the pool). It was a great vacation and would visit again!

We loved staying at Subset Chateau!! The space was as-advertised. It was very clean and spacious. I feel the price reflects that the unit is a little out-dated. Cleaning lady was sitting on the floor folding towels upon arrival. A guy was sitting in the recliner talking on his cell phone rather loudly. I found the unit to be dated and in need of repairs. The sofa is worn out, the front storm door slams hard upon entering the unit, the recliner has several rips in the vinyl, window blind was missing in dining room, kitchen cabinets contents were unorganized and in a disarray, walls and floors were dirty, baseboard trim loose in several places especially at master bedroom patio door, lots of dust accumulation on footboard of master bed, storage room had pool and lawn furniture all thrown in it and needs to be cleaned out, a/c unit had duct tape coming loose at ceiling, a pair of ladies panties was under one of the twin beds, downstairs bath shower door track very dirty and possibly moldy, and much more. This is so sad because this unit could be so nice with renovating and updating because it does have a great location with million dollar views. I do have photos to support these issues.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Sunset Chateau. Our condo could have used a few updates. Overall, the condo was very clean and had all beach accessories provided. The kitchen had a variety of items available for use.
We would definitely stay again and are planning a return trip next year.

The view from the balcony is stunning, we were right on a beautiful beach, and we were so close to shopping, activities, etc. Now, the not so positive - the carpeting going up the stairs, & on the 2nd floor of the condo is atrociously dirty. If I walked around the condo barefoot, I had to wash my feet before I went to bed. Yuck. Also, there are some things in disrepair, apparently for a while based on previous reviews. A towel bar is missing behind the downstairs bathroom door, as evidenced by the remaining hardware & rough spots on the wall. The freezer door handle is missing from the fridge. The bottom stair is broken under the carpeting - it creaks and shifts under a normal sized person's weight. The screen to the slider off the master bedroom is broken. It is warped, bent & was off the track when we arrived. I texted the management company as soon as I saw it, & got a response that it would be repaired after we checked out. I initially said ok, but thought about it overnight, & requested that they repair it asap, so I could go out on the balcony without worrying about damaging the screen more. Eventually they replied, & said someone would be out to repair it the next day, Tuesday. We were out all day, & came back to find the screen hanging askew off the track, worse than when we left it that morning. Either someone came & made a half hearted attempt to fix it, or the wind blew it. I texted again, sending a picture, & was told someone would be out to fix it the next day, Wednesday. Again, we were gone all day, & came back to find the screen in the same state. I gave up at that point, as we were leaving early Friday to come home. Although not majorly inconvenient, every time I went out on the balcony, I had to wrestle with the screen. On Thursday, I finally sort of got it on the track, but it still didn't slide properly, since it is bent & would pop off the track every time I used it. We were asked to clean up any food spills to help keep bugs away, but the only cleaner on hand was dish soap. I had to buy something to clean the counters and table. One more positive - we were gone longer than planned one day, and the management company was kind enough to leave an elevator key for us at their office. This would be a stellar property with a deep cleaning & some TLC. I would suggest replacing the carpeting with tile flooring. We enjoyed our stay, but it would have been better without the issues I mentioned.

5 fabulous women enjoyed celebrating our 70th birthdays. The cheery atmosphere made a perfect setting for our week. There were a couple questions when we arrived that were handled timely, efficiently and in a gracious manner. We all recommend this lovely beach condo for your next special event.

Amazing views!
Overall this property was good- also considering the rate. Being right on the water is simply the best. The interior while dated was clean overall. Just some roughness in the bathrooms, and kitchen. The kitchen could be better stocked- if you are folks who eat in or cook. Also having some extra blankets would be really nice (not sure if that's a COVID thing) but there wasn't any extra and our kiddos were chilly with the one lightweight blanket on their beds. Overall decent- well positioned and great location.

Condo needs a lot of updating and the simple repairs.
When we arrived late at night, there was only a sheet on the master bed, no blanket or comforter and a bulb out of one lamp making the room dark. The guest bedroom lighting was also very poor. A text to the property manager the next day quickly solved those issues. We liked the area and view from the condo but the bottom line, the condo was filthy and in need of several repairs.

Perfect for a couple days
We couldn’t be any closer to the Gulf, unit was clean and ready for our stay. I agree the unit could use a couple of updates, but that’s all personal preference. All in all a nice place to stay.

Christmas stay
Loved the location of this unit. We've stayed at this facility as a couple and this time we brought our girls. And recommended family to stay in another unit as well while there. This unit was perfect for us and we enjoyed our view and our space when needed. Just a few minor adjustments needed for updates. Overall I would stay here again if available for our time slots. As I said before loved the location and accommodations.
