I’m writing this review even though I’ve stayed here several (maybe 8 or 10?) times before, because I really like the concept — this accommodation is run by Czech Caritas — and I genuinely want to support it.
The location is definitely TOP!
If I lived in Prague, this is exactly where I would want to live - it hardly gets better.
And the receptionist, Viktor, is extremely friendly and polite (also the ladies, but Viktor is a sunshine).
Bed linen / sheets are clean, also the bathroom and the towels.

Sometimes the prices are much higher, and then guests don’t really get much for the money.
The rough felt carpets have definitely seen better days, the windows are not properly sealed and there is a draft coming through them and the furniture is really very basic.
At the prices I have paid so far, that is absolutely fine.
So NO complaint at all.
But sometimes the prices are much higher.
In my opinion, Caritas can support people without charging (other) guests excessively high prices.
What disappointed me particularly this time was the strange “cuddle blanket” without a proper cover or proper bedding (no bed sheets).
The blanket was really not clean (it didn't look clean and it didn't smell clean), so I put it aside.
(then it was cold at night because of maybe 10 degress outside and the old windows)
Also the 10 a.m. check-out time is really too early.
In my opinion, MARIANEUM should find a middle ground between supporting people and not charging guests too much (prices are often high for what is offered), while also paying a little more attention to keeping the rooms in good (at least: better) condition.
If this weren’t a Caritas accommodation, I would give it - sorry - a 6 or 6,5.
It was much better in the past.
But because it is, I’d rate it an 8.
So, would I recommend MARIANEUM?
Yes — if you find it at a good price: go for it!
But I will definitely take a break now.

Woman serving breakfast buffet OK but man serving breakfast buffet was excellent and made sure everything was in order all of the time and gave great service to all guests with friendliness, excellent English, respectfull and made your morning feast special. Top class.
Profits from hotel going to charity is exceptional and well worth supporting.
Location offers peacefull stay yet so close to all that you might want and transport across Prague
No english tv channel, but not there to watch tv.
