Beautiful location nestled in the countryside, with well-kept grounds and a building that was very well maintained and clean. Our room opened directly onto a lovely grassy area.
Compared to the several other hotels we have visited on this vacation, this one felt a little stingy: we were looking forward to relaxing with a few glasses of wine, but there was no wine list, and only a small (100ml) glass of average wine was available for €9. Perhaps we were spoiled, having just arrived from more prosperous parts of southern Germany, where portions were significantly more generous and quality significantly higher. Luckily, we had a decent bottle of a top German riesling in the car.

The hotel was perfectly adequate, however, had I known the restaurant had closed before I booked it, I would have gone elsewhere.
The member of staff I met was friendly and helpful, however, I think he left and locked up the front desk soon after I arrived which meant I felt very isolated.

Absolutely perfect! Well situated in the country side, so yes there’s a dwindling drive from the motorway. When arriving by the lake you have a stunning view and garden with outdoor seating if weather is sunny. We got a lovely room on the ground floor with a patio. Perfect as we travel with dog. Mosquito nets in the rooms so could sleep with door slightly open. New England style interiors. Light, clean and spacious. Restaurant serves local dishes and is a must. Lovely staff and if you can - stay here for a dreamy country stay!
