Lidt skuffet - men smukt sted

Virkelig flotte omgivelser, pænt og rent en lille oase midt byen.

Jeg ville gerne have været orienteret om, at det var off season, så samtlige ting var lukket på stedet og få gæster. En restaurant åben - hvilket var fint nok. Menuen er fixed med forskellige retter, man kan vælge hver dag. Men poolbarer osv var lukkede.. Det giver bare ikke samme følelse når samtlige ting er dækket til. Poolen er varm og meget slidt (maling skaller af flere steder) og parasoller er ødelagte. Til den pris forventer jeg højere standard. Man betaler uden tvivl for omgivelser med palmer og placering tæt på stranden og 5th avenue. Hytterne er hyggelige, men lidt små. Vi boede to voksne og to børn og havde knapt nok plads til at åbne vores kufferter. Jeg har boet steder på Yucatan, som var billigere med bedre service generelt. Det er superærgerligt, for stedet har vildt meget potentiale. NOTE vedr. PARKERING Det er bøvlet at parkere på vejen, hvor der er parkometer. 5 min gang op ad vejen er en kæmpe parkeringsplads, hvor man kan parkere for 15 pesos i timen. Lidt dyrere end vejen, men langt nemmere. 😊

Really enjoyed our stay at Mahekal, just made a few adjustments re the closed amenities

Loved location, cleanliness

Some bars and restaurants closed during our stay. Thankfully we hadn’t taken all inclusive offer Also, I lost sunglasses whilst there, staff weren’t at all helpful and therefore I didn’t get a report so can’t follow up insurance claim.

Great staff, sad to leave. Very accommodating for requests (travelling with a baby)

Playa is not for everyone, too touristy. Not a Cristian if the hotel as it is an oasis

Very nice hotel will come back

The garden, the pool and the fauna are really exceptional. The service from the waiters at the restaurant was great, Marco, Enrique and nancy were really amazing. I also really enjoyed the ceramic activity Food was very good, in particular at the restaurant where you pay extra

- the way to book the (nice) restaurant Fuego is absolutely stupid. You need to book on the same day at the lobby ( dont accept to book on the phone from the room) the restaurant is mostly empty since it s an extra charge from the half board, but included with the all inclusive. - the room are a bit small and not a lot of lights ( palapa room) The bathroom had a bit of rust - the way the tips works is a bit confusing when you are all inclusive - would have appreciate one restaurant with AC as they are all open , hence very hot.

Exceptional

I've been at the Mahekal Resort the second time and it was again an amazing holiday. The staff and the facility is like a paradise. Even there is a problem with the algae they are doing a great job to clean the beach. For sure I'll visit Mahekal again.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here and can’t say enough positive things about the property. The staff was more than accommodating and very friendly and the who resort was beautiful and well maintained. We can’t wait to come back in the future

I don’t know who’s liar either from website or booking.com???

I don’t expected the room like that and bed 🛌 very small size for me and my wife also for both my kids ..bcoz we though that when we make choice website said is double room and with different room.so we thought and think that’s is price that we pay is double room and the bed was we think is big boy like that Soo upset 😭 Soo much about room the others all good only our room and our bed not happy thanks

Amazing place. A real life paradise and I would highly recommend.

Beautiful hotel and surroundings. The rooms were amazing and bigger than I had anticipated, which has made me recommend you. The breakfast was delicious and the team were all so lovely.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like but little things that could be done to improve things further: More bar/restaurant staff to serve the pools area. It wasn’t obvious this service was offered. Then there was only one individual to serve a busy pool area, so it felt a little too slow to be honest, even by relaxed holiday standards… Signage could be better to show that there is another pool across the road. This is the showcase pool, but it was 2 days in to the holiday to realise where it was and whether we could use those facilities. Perhaps a mention at check-in would be helpful, plus signage on site?

Great week in a relaxing getaway.

The property is clean and well maintained. It is a beachfront property with proximity to restaurants, bars, and shopping. It also has security at all times.

We had a beachfront room and in the evening you can hear people on the beach. There are no televisions in rooms but I can’t say I missed it.

This was our second stay, and it didn't disappoint- Facilities and hotel ground were exceptional, and the staff was super friendly (Allan from the concierge made sure our stay was perfect).

We thoroughly enjoyed our short visit and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

We love the location right on Calle 38. There’s tons of great restaurants and shopping just down the street. The whole vibe of the hotel was great…a perfect tropical getaway. Staff was constantly cleaning and keeping the place looking pristine. Food at the restaurants was very good.

The room was very small.

overpriced and nowhere near as god as they make out on their publicity.

The staff but not much else

We were given a so-called Ocean view room which was really a 90% road view room with a 10% glimpse of the ocean. on top of this the road had many bars and was very noisy. They did move us when we complained. Tractors started clearing seaweed at 5.30 in the morning so that was a free early morning wake up call. The so called half board was limited to 27 US $ per person which didn’t cover half the cost of our meals. The lobster night cost us $200 and the lobster was burnt. All in all a rip off!

Very nice and quiet. Comfy and clean. Lots of beach traffic so a lot to see.

It’s right on the beach and the main drag.

The beach is really eroded and there was a lot of seaweed for a few days that made it impossible to swim. Not the property’s fault though.

Great Hotel, we’ll be back!

the location was great.

I wish there was more beach. one day they didn’t clean any of the seaweed away from the beach and it was piled high and covered. I wish the 3rd restaurant would’ve been open and the second restaurant only had buffet. Some of the food could’ve been better.

Bad experience and service

Beautiful and the woker who made us feel welcome is Jacinto great man

Beautiful resort and great experience with Jacinto when you arrive. BUT.....When we first arrived Dulce checked us in aswell as our friends. She let my husband and I know our meals were not included and I can come by to front desk any time if i wish to add the all inclusive meals. Later in the day our friends ordered drinks and gave their room number and realized they put us in the wrong rooms. Which was an accident and we were not upset untill later in the evning after having a bad experience with Mauricio at front desk I let Mauricio know the situation and asked him to add the all inclusive for my husband and I and tried paying him. He said since we were in the wrong room I didn't need to pay anything because it was included and changed our wrist band. He also said he would contact our friends and tell them the mistake. Which he never called our friends. Later we all went to have dinner and was rudely interrupted 3 times by the waitress embarrassing us as if we stole something infront of everyone saying we didn't pay for our meals. Keep in mind they have our room numbers and credit cards on file. Our meals were all ruined for us and our friends. We were called to the front desk to resolve but it wasn't resolved and we ended up coming back several occasions. And they said they couldn't do anything to make it right which is wrong because our time there was ruined. The next day the front desk lady Rosa said she couldn't do nothing but later offered us lunch on our check out day but we didn't accept because it's unacceptable. Due to them making us feel like thieves after we paid so much to stay there. Our friends had all inclusive and didn't want to eat there either after all of this. It could have been handled differently. What a waste of time and money. Also beach access is not private and over packed with people can't even enjoy. I will never come here again

Wonderful oasis excellent for families with small children

Excellent location, wonderful ambiance, friendly staff, the food was great too.

It’s a smaller thing, but the rooms could benefit from a full size mirror and a mini fridge. we stayed during high season and some days was hard to find a spot at the beach/pools.

Horrible service

Jovanny helping us with our luggage was the only employee that was giving us great service

Employees in lobby and manager are so rude. Made me and my company feel discriminated. Along with receiving the wrong room. The customer service made our stay so uncomfortable. Mauricio at the lobby was not only rude but made mistakes in our package and discriminated us.

Could not recommend this resort MORE!! We will definitely look to be staying again

We loved the location of the resort and the grounds themselves were wonderful. This resort felt like a total oasis right next to a city center, so you could relax and still get off property to explore when you wanted! The restaurants and staff were phenomenal, our favorite was Fuego. The spa was lovely and the staff there were so wonderful and really helped us relax.

Stay was wonderful but would have loved more food options and variety in cuisines.

The location , beach and resort overall was beautiful. We also liked the option of being able to walk to town and experience local food .My family loved our stay .

A few things which could be better. -I think there should be more options of things to do for kids especially in rainy days for families - I found the quality of food at the restaurants a bit average and especially one of the restaurants at the resort dint have great food .

A fabulous experience in Mexico - relaxing!

The resort was fantastic, great spot, lovely pool and beach areas. The setting was amazing, felt close to nature also. Food was good, especially breakfast and lunch.

Could have done with a more powerful shower, but think linked to plumbing set up in area. Also, bathroom toiletries not re-stocked when finished.

Lovely relaxing stay with a more traditional feel than the other super hotels in the area.

Staff were very friendly and very helpful. Rooms were lovely with very comfortable beds. Outdoor areas (pools and private beaches) were also great, well kept with comfortable sun beds.

There weren't a lot of food choices for vegetarians, especially if you were staying at the property for a week. We also found the food expensive for the quality, maybe it would have been better to go all-inclusive.

the people were amazing, the hospitality was fantastic. the food was delicious, the workers were attentive whenever we needed something. it was the best vacation of my life. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. I’m coming back to mahekal
