Worst property and management in Chandpole area

The location is good. Not a good option if you are traveling by your own car. The lanes are extremely narrow as the hotel is in the Old City.

There was an open Gutka packet in our room. The chair was damaged by hookah coal. They switched on the hot water system for specific timings of the day. The swimming pool stays open till 5 pm only. There is a bathtub in the room but you can't use it as there is a leakage. Breakfast, they quote, is complimentary. But is it pathetic. The tables were dirty. Basic items like coffee and tea jugs were empty, imagine the state of the rest of the items. Half of the things were not there on the serving table. Idlis were stale and oily. I feel bad for the stewards and waiters. They are more committed than the Manager, Mr. Hukumraj. After sharing our feedback with him on the 1st day, he just called a random bellboy and scolded him. I am sure he had no role in these verticals. The manager took zero steps in improving our stay at Udai Kothi. Extremely unhappy with the behaviour of senior management. They deserve a rating of -10. While checking out, they tried to pacify the situation by giving us a complimentary boat ride. They thought we were doing this for freebies. Families and couples, please don't book this hotel. They will definitely ruin your vacation.

Beautiful hotel with hopeless staff

Beautiful rooftop bar and restaurant. Two swimming pools in sun and shade. Delicious craft brewery.

Inattentive and uninterested staff all round, they need training. Nb the bath was disconnected from the water supply.

Facilities not properly maintained. Staff does not respond properly to complaints. AC was not working properly. To much water leakage. Nobody came to clean up the water even after 3 reminders.

Didn't meet expectations with basic hospitality standards

I liked nothing other than how the property looks

The rooms were in inferior condition, No proper facilities in the room were ready on check-in eg: toiletries, water and bedsheets used smelly AC was not functioning at all The staff was prolonged despite being an off-season

The entry area outside is appealing, the overall hotel is of the traditional style I like on my stays in Udaipur please don't think I don't like the traditional touches throughout my room I do, it's authentic. The male staff at the reception desk aren't very friendly but the staff across the hotel and restaurant are delightful. The roof top restaurant is excellent. The breakfast could be improved perhaps adding pancakes as well as the delicious omelette. The pool area is absolutely gorgeous and I will stay again.

The toilet flushing system was continually problematic and the staff tried to help. The sheets and pillowcases are too old and yellowed and should be replaced. There was rat poo on the window sill inside the breakfast seated area, just an oversight as I do understand rodents are difficult to control but if I see it in the restaurant I can only imagine what it's like out in the kitchen.

Really beautiful swimming pools - just right in the heat. close proximity to the lake. Nice room.

Breakfast very limited for westerners, Indian food good. Slow service. But note most of the complaints in this area are from Indian tourists, who demand very prompt indulgence and love bossing the staff around. It definitely deserves a higher average rating.

The location is very convenient but the property needs to have better housekeeping and other facilities. The restaurant is good. Breakfast is just excellent and all F&B staff is very cooperative. Mr. Vikas, Mr. Vikram and all their staff is very much well mannered. The roof top location is very scenic. We will surely visit again and expect the housekeeping will be improved in due course.

Housekeeping and general maintenance of the property must improve.

Nothing expect room size and location.

Staff is useless and super lazy, even after calling multiple times for soap nobody turned around. After telling two times at reception for cleaning nobody came. Rooms are over priced on booking.com and on other website also. Lake suit which costs around 15K to 20K per night excluding GST is actually not lake view. Price should not be more than 8K for the room view and facilities. If someone is looking for Lake view then go for lake pichoola instead of Uday Kothi.

Great place with top service

Great location with amazingly charming and stylish decor. Fantastic rooftop bar and restaurant (excellent cuisine), frequented by stylish young (Indian or International Indian) tourists. Almost all staff were very friendly and overly helpful. Compared to some earlier reviews, it seems that a lot has been changed to the positive. Also worth noting: very good massages at reasonable rates are available. Suites are very large and are made with luxurious marble, but are of course a bit worn.

The location and the architecture of the hotel was really nice. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Food quality is wonderful and restaurants are built beautifully.

There are a few flaws in the hotel. The biggest one is that for some weird reason, all the exhaust fans of all washrooms on a particular floor open in the hallway outside the rooms causing a pretty bad smell on the entire floor. I have no idea why the exhaust fan vents are not opening outside the hotel. Its common sense. Some other quirks are: strange placement of TV in the bedroom, no Wifi available in the rooms, only in the garden (though I guess thats a good thing nowadays).
