Very good location, just a block or two from the beach in the Barra neighbourhood. Close to the lighthouse as well. Bars and restaurants are close by with plenty of choices as well as a couple of convenience stores and a self-serve laundry across the road. Friendly staff - I arrived early, but very welcoming and happy to look after my bag until check in time later in the day. In fact, by check in time, the lady at reception had put my bag in the room for me (unnecessary but nice touch!). The room was fine, all the basics covered reasonably well and the bathroom was clean and functional. A simple breakfast was available. Street location is easy for uber pick up to go to other parts of Salvador. Room rate was reasonable. Yes, I'd stay again for sure.

La maison coloniale rénovée donne le change en arrivant et son emplacement près du phare également, par contre les chambres sont propres mais plus que sommaires, un bon point pour la climatisation néanmoins.
Le personnel est sympathique comme souvent au Brésil !
Je pense que le prix de la nuitée est trop élevé comparativement au confort.

Breakfast was good. Good variety of fruits, and cakes.
The staff was not so friendly, especially the lady who welcomed us when we arrived.
