The Airline Inn is ideally located close to the Kaohsiung main railway station, exit in a southerly direction, if you find a futuristic clock you are close. The hotel is lit up at night in bright blue, you can't miss it. The accommodation was comfortable, even at reception you can get a free coffee or two and the breakfast provides a good selection to satisfy most peoples requirements although biased to Chinese tastes. We had a room that had a window looking down towards the station and provided entertainment watching people going about their normal day. The area is tired with many empty shops but having easy access to transport it was not a problem. I would have no concerns about staying here again.
I had no concerns about the hotel, it provided everything it advertised and I am happy with what we were provided. The location is ideal for public transport but the area lacks facilities like restaurants and shops, you have to walk a bit to find these as a lot of the local shops have closed down.

The breakfast is fantastic with lots of food choices. We love that the location is right across the street from the train station and walking distance to the Liuhe Night Market. Free laundry! The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. The hotel is really nice for a mid-priced hotel.
Nothing - we were very happy with our stay at this hotel.

Modern, clean, Easy to access and Locate

Great tasty breakfast, dishes changed everyday. The staff even remembered to offer natto (not on display) again the 2nd day.
Near the train station and MRT red line, while orange line not far either.
Steady strong shower. Toilet with bidets. Washing machine in the public area.
Bed was too soft, pillows not comfortable.
Reception staff: cold, unfriendly, no eye contact, and did not greet quests neither coming nor going. Lack basic problem solving skills.
We had an issue with the terrible room type, where A/C blew directly to the face (room also with only 1 single face mirror). We complained to the receptionist and requested a room change at about 11, but she was rude and insisted that we should pack our bags right away and waited at the lobby until 15. (?!)
We explained that we checked in after 23 the day before and we slept about 2 hours, thus we would prefer to take a nap due to bad jet lag. She did not care, and made excuses like hotel was fully booked, and they needed time to clean our room, and we should even necessarily sleep in the lobby.
Anyone with a right mind would know the room cleaning won’t take 4h straight. It won’t be too difficult either to see which rooms were already empty, since not everyone checkout until 11 o’clock.
But she did not want to make it easy for us, or simply was not willing to help, even though the problem had been hotel’s bad design. We were clearly not the first quests who had problems with the A/C direction, since they did come up with some sort of solution, like installing a tiny windshield on the roof(which, unfortunately did not make any difference). She even made a discriminating statement like we would have taken other quests’ room. Ok, so it meant we were less important?
We insisted that we would take some nap and would come back to this issue later after about 2h. She said that she would not make any promise of 2h, but she might try. We were not happy at all, but lack the energy to argue. We went back to sleep. Well, staff contacted us about the room change, after 1h40m to be precise, waking us up from our sweet naps. The new room was way better, exactly as the pictures shown on booking that I booked. I wonder what room type the first one was then?
