Great location for easy to moderate hikes in the mountains. Access to a large indoor swimming-pool and other training facilities is an extra bonus especially when bad weather in the mountains prevent outdoor activities.
Breakfast is good in a nice spacious environment with lovely mountain views. The hotel has a nice reception area and one staff member was good at keeping the fireplace going - a very nice gest to enjoy a coffee or glass of wine in front of the fire. The hotel has a small nice bar also serving light meals and snacks and our bar waiter was very service-minded and friendly and made us the perfect Irish coffee!
Some of the reception staff was not attentive at all. Spending long time on the phone without a sign that we have been seen when standing patiently waiting by the counter. This was in particular the case when we just arrived as guests. I have never experienced such an unwelcoming arrival at a hotel. Also staff in the restaurant were un-attentive and seemed not to enjoy their work anymore as they were on my many other visits when Radisson Blue owned the hotel. This was my first visit with the new owners of the hotel and with a couple of exceptions the friendliness of the staff seemed gone. Such a disappointment.
