Splendid breakfast (lovely fresh bread) and really helpful people, both in the breakfast room and at the arrival desk - in fact, everywhere in the hotel! The honesty system for acquiring a bottle of beer (or water) in the evening simply excellent. Everything in this hotel had been thought about, and taken care of: I've never known a hotel bathroom with so many places to hang things up, for example.

The liquid soap in our bathroom needed renewing . . . and the small pillows were a touch too firm. Nothing else could be criticised! We were thoroughly impressed and will certainly stay there again.

The breakfast with local specialty food was great. The fridge for drinks at night was easy to use. The room was spacious and comfortable.

The door to the bathroom is not soundproofed. This, in combination with the light switch outside the bathroom made it impossible to use it at night without waking my partner.

The property is close to the city square about a 5 minute walk. Free parking at the hotel.

Close to the central station, very nice and smiling staff and very comfy bed!

The room does not have a fridge, but they kindly allowed me to store some food in the fridge of the hotel. My room was always way too hot and there is no AC, so I had to keep the windows open all the time and therefore there were some bugs and spiders. Not everyone speaks English. The breakfast was OK, but not exceptional. I could see some people having scrambled eggs at some point, but I was never offered to order additional things besides what was in the buffet

Good place to stay, near the center of Detmold, and also convenient for people walking the Hermannsweg. Good breakfast, comfortable facilities.

The staff went out of their way to make sure we had what we wanted for breakfast. I appreciated the fact that the hotel is "inclusive" and employs people with learning difficulties.
