The staff was amazingly welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The breakfast of fresh bakery items on site was excellent.
The rooms were very basic, small and quite cramped for 4 of us but what it lacked in space, it made up for in location, ease of travel, renting bikes, and helpful staff.

The atmosphere and location were probably the best parts of our stay. In good summer weather, the whole place feels almost like being in a French movie — quiet, charming and a little old-fashioned in a good way. The small houses, garden and surroundings give the place a very authentic and peaceful feeling.
The location is excellent. There is a cycling and walking path just behind the property that leads towards Mont-Saint-Michel, and the views of Mont-Saint-Michel are absolutely beautiful. There are also shops and restaurants within walking distance, and parking was easy.
The accommodation itself is simple but comfortable and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was fine, there were enough power sockets and the Wi-Fi worked well.
For a summer stay of 2–3 nights while visiting Mont-Saint-Michel, I think it’s a great choice. We really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and would very likely stay here again if we return to the area.
There wasn’t really anything we disliked. Just keep in mind that the accommodation has a more traditional, slightly old-fashioned style rather than a modern hotel feel. If you’re looking for a very modern interior or a room with a TV, this may not be the right choice.
For us, however, this was actually part of the charm and suited the atmosphere of the area perfectly.

Super friendly French family and garden lodge stay in their orchard (great for little children to play in). Conveniently located to walk/cycle the riverside path 4km to Mont Saint Michel. Bakery and restaurants very close. Little play park for kids just beside the river too.
It’s not a typical bland hotel stay if that’s what you want. It has character and a real French family feel :) Also the walk to MSM may be a little long for young children so consider bringing a pram/stroller for tired legs! Note you can get a shuttle bus for about 2km of the 4km (Google Navettes "le Passeur").
