We stayed in the Japanese style room A and it was marvelous, I loved all the traditional details.
The futons were really comfortable and the bathroom was also pretty nice.
The location was perfect, right in the middle of Kyoto, so it’s easy to move around
There were only one towel per person, I would have liked one or two more
Also, there weren’t any curtains or anything that blocked the light, so we were up before our alarm clock (not a big deal if you get up early though)

Friendly staff and a great location. The Japanese style rooms were unique and a good experience.
There is no luggage storage so we had to go to another hotel and pay for a room in order to store our luggage which cost us an additional $150. Doors to the Japanese style rooms were very loud, it was hard to keep quiet. Room walls are very thin and can hear talking throughout the entire place. Staff not available most of the time & response via email or WhatsApp took a few hours.
