An incredible hotel , really relaxing atmosphere and staff went above and beyond for us , food was incredible and the hotel was so clean and well maintained , staff greeted us with a smile at all times it gave a lovely homely atmosphere , 100% going to stay here again it’s a fabulous hotel

This was a disappointing stay. I will start with positives:
Kind staff at reception and at restaurant.
Food in restaurant was quite nice, although a little expensive.
Comfy bed and clean room.
Beach itself is very nice.
The hotel has a free library which I thought was cool to take and donate books !
They had card games and board games which you could borrow for free. Nice if you forgot something as no shops nearby.
Btw - highly recommend going to gentle giants elephants and the cave next to it. Ethical sanctuary and wonderful experience. 5 mins from hotel.
Unfortuantely, however, I do feel that this hotel is very overpriced for what you get. The bathroom is extremely dated and does not match the room.
One of the biggest points of disappointment was the very poor wifi. We stayed in a deluxe room which we paid extra for and the wifi did not work at all. This was really annoying and meant we couldn’t even use the Tv. When I asked why it was not working I was informed it was not a smart TV, although it was, and then told later it was in fact a smart TV and had been temporarily swapped. Due to the lack of wifi we could not use it.
Further strangely, we had 4 nights here and on the first two days there was no hot breakfast. It was only cereals and very limited fruit and veg which wasn’t very fresh. Then on our last two days all of a sudden there was a massive buffet ?
I found this very odd as we had paid to include breakfast the whole time and cannot understand why it was so different on two days. On the first day we had asked if there was hot breakfast as the hot plates were visible but told we can only order from their menu - which was included, however this food was quite disappointing.
Furthermore, this hotel is very very far from Lanta town which is where all activities are. As there is no grab on the island you need to take taxis and the hotel charges a VERY high rate for this which I found unfortunate, but they know you have no other option.
