Incredible view, delicious coffee, and a superb host

First, I'll mention Monica! A superb host, simple, accessible, and accommodating, she's fantastic! The view from the room is incredible, and it's lovely to have breakfast on the terrace, which Monica also prepares. Please note that the apartment is located in a ZTL (zona traffico limitato), so if you're arriving by car, you'll have to park it a bit farther away (about 10 minutes on foot). The room is tidy and clean, the bed is comfortable, and the air conditioning cools excellently. The nearby stairs lead directly to the beach, which has both private sunbeds and public free areas. The sea is very clean.

Perfecto!

At 1st I was getting frustrated getting my question about parking answered. I was not able to contact anyone. Could be because of dialing from US. But once I was able to make contact...everything fell into place! Monica, the hostess at the B&B was magnificent. Breakfast was fantastic and any questions you had, if she didn't know the answer she researched it. Monica was fabulous. The view from our room was breathtaking. The location was central to everything. Room was spotless! I want to come back next year and stay a week this time.

the location, the view, Monica’s so kind and helpful and delivered a beautiful breakfast to your door to eat on your balcony. Deinks on the balcony to watch the beautiful sunsets too.

We will defenitely return here in our next stay in Tropea

Prior to arrival the communication was swift. Enrico replies clearly, in English, all questions were answered. At arrival he was awaiting us, explained us everything about the room, the kitchen and requested what we wanted for breakfast the next day. He gave us an update on the room for free so we got a wonderful sea view from the balcony, right in time to watch the sunset and the orange sky behind a smoking Stromboli volcano. The breakfast was more than the Italian average, eggs, toast, yoghurt, croissants, coffee, juice... We loved the location being right at the edge of the historical centre, having amazing views on the seaside. With walking distance from the trainstation this is a winner.

If I need to mention one minor point than I can say that when we entred the place, in the central area where is the kitchen, it didn't smell fresh. This gave me a lesser impression in the beginning, but after having entered the room, the unfreshness of the rest of the place didn't really matter to me any more. I can't describe exactly how it smelled, but defenitely a few hours of ventilation could improve it rather fast.

Totally recommend.

Very nice B&B, modern rooms and bathroom, everything very clean, there is a common area with kitchen, coffee, tea, water, which we loved. Nice sea view from the room! Also the staff is very friendly, we miscalculated the day of our arrival, but they made it possible. Thank you. :)

Spectacular stay and really great host

Great room, as per the reviews, the balcony is really nice. The room itself was clean, updated and modern. The host Monica really made us feel at home and cooked us breakfast, gave us tips and made us feel welcome. A great example for any host.

Slight egg smell comes from the bathroom toilet (guessing drains of the old building) but prevented if the seat was down. The room is small but nothing major.

Amazing view. Great breakfast. Very central to old town and stairs to the beach.

We stayed at Sunset Tropea and selected the room based on the beautiful view and location. The host was very helpful to help us find free parking a 5 min walk away after we dropped our bags. The view is the best thing about the place. The breakfast was pretty nice too.

This is a B&B rather than a hotel room. It is an apartment which has been converted to rentable rooms. Our room opened up straight up to the kitchen which was also the entrance room, so when you come out of your room you are straight in the arrival room. So felt a little more like a hostel. But again the view on our balcony made up for this.

This Hotel/B&B is AMAZING! The location is beyond any expectations, far beyond! The staff is wonderful and the owner is SUPER responsive. My only complaint, the bed was just not up to par, but truth be told, I would go back regardless.

The Location is absolutely stunning. There is not a better location in this city. If you never went to Tropea, don't hesitate and book! It's a pearl, a nice vibe, amazing coast, good food... Sunset Tropea gave us a warm welcome, superclean room, the best view possible, good breakfast. This is my first 10/10, and it's well deserved!!

Best Views of Tropea

Perfect view and location in Tropea. Close to all of the restaurants and shops, and only a 10 min walk to the train station. The views of the castle were incredible and it was a perfect spot for people watching!

Of course the view is the best you can find, rooms are ate the second floor with no elevator.

Location is perfect, straight to the center with the best view. Staff is very kind and offer to help in everything.

Our room was not so large, but we did know it, so also the bath was not so large. Bathroom should have been more clean.

Be fast and grab this option as soon as you can!

The best location in Tropea. Windows overlooking Santuario di Santa Maria and town centre with the panoramic terrace. You can enjoy the same views on the balcony especially in the morning breakfast which was prepared by wonderful host Monica. Breakfast was full with more than just a sweet snack. Monica has cared for us by responding quickly and with good English which we found quite absent in the Calabria. There is a good parking nearby 25 eur/night so you can park your car in the locked underground garage by Allessandro. Old town is just at your doorstep. Once you step out you suddenly found your self in vibrant Tropea nightlife with a lot of shops and restaurant open until midnight or even more.

Everything was jus perfect. Our stay was too short.

Every apartments has a beautiful view, building is situated in center of Tropea. Owner contacted with us few hours before arrival and welcome us with glass of wonderful Prosecco, really nice gesture.Everyday owner served breakfast with fresh local products. We was there on our honeymoon and we have really nice memories. Best regards for Enrico! Hope to see you soon !

Ofcourse it's not important or necessary but I always like tv with Netflix in B&B places :)

stunning views

can’t beat the views and it’s perfectly located right outside of the ztk so unloading and loading is pretty easy.

I don’t know how Italians sleep on these plywood board mattresses and pancake pillows but that’s been at almost every place I’ve stayed in this country…no wonder nobody sleeps in Italy

The place to stay in Tropea

Lavish breakfast both continental and Italian, served in the balcony of your room enjoying one of the most beautiful views of Tropea. The staff, are so helpful ensuring a very easy check in and check out. Nice warm shower and comfortable beds. The location is perfect close to all restaurants and cafeterias. Also, close to the main stairs down to the beach. The B&B is spotless. Free Sparkling water and coffee is a bonus. Staff is so helpful especially Monica that made sure we had everything we needed. A perfect romantic getaway. Cannot wait to return.

You need to go up some stairs, but who cares when you have all of the above, that will make your vacation even more special.
