About this cottage rental
A modern comfortable cottage with floor to ceiling windows to enjoy the uninterrupted views. Underfloor heating and additional wood burning stove. All mod cons including oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washer/drier. Large free view TV and free wifi. Two King size beds and two single beds. One double bedroom downstairs with ensuite. One double bedroom and one twin bedroom upstairs. Family bathroom upstairs. Showers in large toilet downstairs and also in the ensuite. Spacious open plan sitting room. kitchen and dining room with superb views.

A great house in a great location. High points were the panoramic windows in the lounge breakfast area alongside the side of the bedrooms and the number of bathrooms. Overall the house is impressive and open plan which my wife and I like.On the downside the WiFi was poor and very intermittent, I replaced the leads to the TV and to the router for very little improvement. Couldn’t use the TV apps for 20 of our 14 nights, nor could we effectively both be using devices at the same time. This did cause difficulties with work and family issues. Further, whilst the kitchen was adequate the utensils, pans and baking trays could do with some improvement/replacement. As could the floor tiles in 2 of the 3 bathrooms, this observation could be expanded to some of the oak flooring and door handles on the sliding doors. Final observation was that there was more dust in the property than was to be expected after it had been cleaned

Had a problem finding the house but a friendly neighbor helped when we could not contact the host. As for the house and location, it was the best VRBO we have ever stayed at. Loved the rural experience with the cows in the adjacent pasture, sheep up the road, fresh eggs just up the road. The bedrooms were excellent, the kitchen was very good, the living and dining areas wonderful.

Stayed in 2018 & 19, so this was our third stay. Definitely the property/housekeeping needed attention in places and we have emailed owner with our observations.These observations did not lessen our overall enjoyment of staying at East Byreleask.
