Friendly staff - helpful people at reception. Good standards of everything and very clean at a very reasonable price. Location super handy by car, though a little way from railway station. I had to leave too early to try their breakfast, so can't review that

Our room was comfortable, convenient with a good bed, clean, good shower.
We received a good, friendly welcome on arrival.

The convenient location for our onward journey.
We had walked past the sign for a Welcom breakfast, and understood that we did not need to have booked this in advance. We went along at 8.40am, to be met by a very unfriendly, UNwelcoming member of staff, who basically told us we wouldn't have time to finish eating even if we ordered, as breakfast finished at 9am on the dot, and had begun at 6am for business guests. Her tone was rude and abrupt.
This left a very sour note, despite the lovely welcome we had received at reception and in the dining room the previous evening, and has coloured our view of the hotel.
In our many and extensive travels in europe and beyond, the breakfast times usually for some flexibility, with time alowed to finish eating. We do not require a big breakfast anyway, and would easily have had time to collect what we needed. Instead, we set off on our onward journey slightly earlier than expected, and enjoyed a lovely breakfast of yoghurt and homemade müsli at a hotel en route at a more reasonable cost.
