About this house rental
Situated in Emerald Isle, this lovely house for $700 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Bring your family and spend your vacation at our wonderful 3 story oceanfront beach house at 105 Janell Lane, Emerald Isle, NC 28594. If the description below doesn't provide the info you need you can reach out to the owner (202^607^9306 ). Rentals are weekly, Sunday to Sunday so that the cleaning and pool crew can do their magic. There are 4 main gathering areas. You can eat and be together in the open kitchen/dining/living room that has dining seating to accommodate large families or watch a movie together in the home theater room on the first floor. There is a full-size pool table if you are so inclined, or you can swim and eat together around the 15' x 28' swimming pool with hot tub and outside grill. For sleeping, there are two beautiful king size, oceanfront master suites each with whirlpool tub and access to second floor deck along with a middle room w/ocean front access. Other sleeping includes a bedroom on the top floor; with a double and 3 twin children's bunk beds and a full bathroom across the hall. The main floor has 2 bedrooms accessible via the elevator, one with a queen bed and handicap accessible full bath, and a bedroom recently upgraded with a king bed. The recreational room downstairs has a bedroom with a king and twin trundle bed and bathroom with a shower. Other amenities include elevator (from first to second floors) washer/dryer, high speed internet, 5 cable TVs, gas fireplace, dishwasher, and ceiling fans throughout as well as a piano for enjoyment! Property is located on a quiet cul-de-sac with spacious driveway parking and grocery stores, shopping, putt-putt, a bike path and restaurants near by. One dog is allowed with a nonrefundable fee of $200 and a dog run was recently added. Heated pool is available with additional charge May - Sept. No smoking is permitted on the property.

Betsy we could not have asked for a better house for our family reunion at Christmas. I think we enjoyed every amenity…except for the pool! It was the perfect setting for a special time together.
A few things need attention:
- light over breakfast room table is temperamental and sometimes does not respond to the all switch
- the dishwasher deptergent capsule does not stay closed resulting in poor cleaning sometimes
- bottom step from dune deck to beach needs replacing
- blinds on left of sliding door in master bedroom cannot be turned,
Theses are minor issues. We all thank you SO very much!

Beautiful ocean view. The house is well maintained and has everything you want for a beach vacation. We fish. We cook a lot of seafood. Watch sports. Sit and walk on the beach as much as we can!

The oceanside location is wonderful. The beach is clean, quiet and low density. The pool is a wonderful alternative for entertaining children. Four King bedrooms and more kid bedrooms provided privacy for 4 families (8 adults, five young children). The house was clean upon arrival and well stocked with staples. Check-in was smooth and communications with both property manager and owner were quick and easy. We experienced Ophelia's rath during our visit but stayed safe inside. Our dogs were welcomed and they had places to run in an enclosed space outside. The elevator is a life saver bringing in and out supplies. This is a great property for large families to play together in a wonderful community.

We had up to 13 people at any one point (some were coming, some going) and it still accommodated us all very well. The view of the ocean is amazing and all the decks make it easy to enjoy. The pool is also very nice, and was a good respite from the salt and waves. Very relaxing and very well maintained!

Our family vacation was perfect! The beautiful views of the ocean, sun rising and setting, the location to shops and the bike trails. It made for a perfect trip for us all! Not to mention the gorgeous home, convenient set up, upgraded appliances, cleanliness, and owner communication. Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay immensely!! There was plenty of room and the beds were very comfortable. Having the extra refrigerators and ice machine were an extra bonus. The view of the beach was gorgeous and we were blessed with good weather. Everyone enjoyed the theater room and the pool. We appreciated the easy communication with our host, they were great. This house is now one of our favorite summer places. The house was great, the location was great and the amenities were over the top. Pool, which we heated was really nice, hot tub was nice, floats and toys made it extra special. House was incredibly stocked with spices, kitchen utensils, power strips, towels, boogie boards, etc., etc. - Amazing really. Owners were responsive to my questions. We will be back if we can get in :)

We had a great time at this well appointed house on the beach. You can’t beat this location and everything in the house worked, including the short throw projector in the movie room. Even when the beach was crowded just down at the public location there was no one in front of the house. We had a private beach for the whole week. We would definitely stay here again. A+!

The house and property were amazing! Everything was as described or better. The views from the porches were incredible. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was very well stocked. The surprisingly large dining room table (12-14) was perfect for meals and games alike. It’s flat glass and so easy to clean - it’s the little things! There is also a 6-8 person kitchen table and barstools around the kitchen counter. The open kitchen, dining, living room is great space. The kids loved the first floor game room with pool table and the theater - Home Alone II never disappoints. The pool (heated to a nice 88 degrees) and hot tub (heated to a hot 104) were great. We enjoyed steaks and oysters on the grill.
The homeowners were very responsive, Amy kept the pool and hot tub in good condition and was very friendly, and Drew the property manager was great.
We will definitely be back!

We had a great time during our fall break vacation to EI. This was our second trip to the island and our first time renting this house. The location was fantastic! So close to everything on the island, and a great spot on the beach. The kitchen had everything we needed, and there were tons of beach towels there for us to use. The property manager went above and beyond to communicate with us after the remainder of hurricane Ian passed through there the day before we were planning to arrive. Thankfully all was good with the island and the property. The owner was also fantastic in responding to questions quickly. While the first part of our stay was chilly, the heated pool and hot tub were used every day. Happy parents, happy kids! We will definitely be back!

The location was great being right on the beach! We had a great time! There were some maintenence issues but the manager was right on it. The only real disappointment was we couldn't use the movie because the projector didn't work but we did go for the beach. It just would have been nice for the older grandchild!

An excellently located home full of amenities. Oceanfront views from all of the prime bedrooms, living, dining, and kitchen areas where most of the time was spent. The pool area, hot tub, theater room, and billiard table are always a hit with a large family. The decks are situated perfectly for lounging day or night with the Atlantic front and center. Easy short walk to local shopping centers and supermarkets
Cons:
- hot shower water had an odor that we have not experienced in other homes at E. Isle
- Cleanliness. While generally clean for a pet-friendly home there are some issues and the house could use a deep clean. Some mold in showers around shower doors and fixtures, a little in the ice machine, and ocean-facing windows were dirty. The bedding should probably be washed or swapped between guests with clean sets/ comforters duvet covers etc. Under beds and some corners probably get skipped during cleaning. Furniture in the theater especially needs some TLC.
- No Screens on deck doors or any of the windows.

- Location
- Amenities - pool, hot tub, piano, a huge table for big family dinners, the outdoor shower was clean and in the perfect location
- Layout - the bedrooms are perfectly laid out for a large multi-gen group with three main ocean-front rooms and a bunk room upstairs - older and youngest can turn in early, while the night owls can hang out on the lowers floors without disturbing them. Soundproofing was excellent from floor to floor and room to room.
- Refrigerators downstairs, Ice machine in the kitchen, comfortable second floor with plenty of seating indoors and out, very functional!
- Excellent communication with owners
Overall:
You can tell that the owners have purchased the property in recent years, and try very hard to make continuous improvements to a beautifully located and very large home. I had seen pics of the home from a few years ago on G Earth and Zillow, and it is clear from the improvements made by the new owners that this property just gets better with every touch from them. Usually, in pet-friendly homes, you may expect pet-friendly odors and hair to be found on furniture and around the house - not here, which was great. The house and top bedding need deep cleaning, and screens could be added to keep doors open and bugs out. Overall I rate this an excellent property with owners whose hard work and efforts show, and are appreciated! Another wonderful stay at Emerald Isle!

What a delightful week spent at this wonderful property! Nearly at a dead end, there was no neighborhood traffic. The house was spacious and laid out perfectly for a large group. The house was very well stocked with everything we needed. Even additional beach towels and an ice machine! I can’t recommend this house highly enough!

This is a great house and suited our needs well with all of the amenities (heated pool, hot tub, movie room, game room, etc). The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, checkin was easy, and the property manager was very responsive to our few questions. Would definitely rent this property again.

We had a great time at this property. Hard to beat the location - beach front, but close to restaurants, shopping, bars, and activities for the kids. Owner and Property Manager were excellent and responsive. Appreciated being able to have the dogs with us too. Will rent again if we ever make it back to Emerald Isle!

This was the perfect place for an extended family vacation. There were many little things that made us stay pleasant: a well-stocked kitchen, beach chairs & towels, comfy living room with a piano. We were also lucky to have amazing weather in the 70s!

Lovely space for our large family vacation. Check in was very accomodating and Drew was accessible and invaluable with his information and insight during our stay. Having a private pool that was large enough for all of us was a game changer for our family. Even room there to set up corn hole competitions haha. This home was perfect size for each family to have their own space, and yet, for all of us to enjoy meals together . Views were spectacular, especially the full moon over the ocean at night. Close to shopping and easy to get on and off the island. Thank you for another memorable time spent together!

What a lovely home! We so enjoyed everything about this amazing home. There was nothing we needed. All16 of us fit comfortably and were able to have family and private time. TV never came on, pool & hot tub a huge plus and plenty of special moments at the beach! SO many memories ~ thank you!!!!!! Just sad it's over.......

We have families at different stages in life and have enjoyed Emerald Isle for more than 30 years. This home accommodated us perfectly and was fully stocked. The only improvement we would suggest is connecting the walk way from the house to the sun deck so that the walk to the beach was a bit easier. We enjoyed delicious meals prepared each night by a different family and sitting down each night together was a highlight!

We really loved staying at this house during our vacation to Emerald Isle in June 2021. This was our first time on the island and we couldn’t have had a better experience. The home is situated right on the beach and offers an amazing view of the ocean from the 2nd and 3rd floors. Three of the bedrooms have access to a balcony facing the water. The views are stunning. I loved getting up each morning and seeing the waves as soon as I opened my eyes.
The main floor has a good sized kitchen and two dining areas. The main table seats up to 12 people and the second table seats 8. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook for even the largest of families. We cooked three dinners for eight people during our stay and hardly made a dent in the cookware, tableware and utensils.
The pool, hot tub and game room were constant favorites for our family. We would have used the wonderful theater room if the weather had not been so cooperative. It’s a really nice add.
One of the nicest features is the proximity of the house to basic amenities. There is nice coffee house a few blocks away. The Publix and Food Lion are within walking distance There is a phenomenal wine market with a wide assortment of superior wines a few blocks away. Emerald Isle and the nearby Swansboro have a number of great restaurants. Each and every restaurant we visited was a gem. We just wish we had additional time to sample more of them.
There are no shortage of activities in which to engage. We enjoyed renting waverunnners at a facility six miles east of the house. We chartered a very successful, six hour fishing trip from a marina ins Swanboro. We spent hours swimming, walking, and just relaxing on the beach. I personally spent quite a bit of time walking and biking along the dedicated trail that runs along the spine of much of the island.
We really loved this place and would definitely stay again.
