About this house rental
Situated in Netarts, this attractive house for $350 per night is a great option for your next break. Experience instant relaxation when setting foot into this beautiful home with breathtaking views of Netarts Bay and the Pacific Ocean. This thoughtfully designed home has an open-plan with the living room, dining room, and kitchen all comprising one great room with a wall of windows looking out over the beautiful bay and ocean as well as a great view of Cape Lookout. The kitchen is fully equipped for group cooking, and the dining area seats 10 (8 at a table, 2 more at a bar height counter). The house has 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and sleeps 10. The master bedroom has a king size bed and full bathroom. There are 2 bedrooms with a queen size bed and the bunk room has 2 sets of bunk beds with both having a pull out twin size bed underneath. There is the option of sleeping an additional 2 guests on the murphy bed located in the media room upstairs. The room can be closed off with a full bathroom just right outside the door, so it is not only a great space for sleeping, but a great place to let the kids hang out while the adults share some quiet time together. A private, covered hot tub awaits our guests on the back deck so it can be enjoyed during any kind of weather. The back deck also has a large outdoor dining table and a propane grill so this makes it another great space to gather around and spend time with your friends and family. Beach access is less than a 5-minute walk away and you can feel confident walking to the beach down a paved, quiet neighborhood road. Family Tides is designed to bring a family together as well as provide private spaces. The layout caters to the needs of large groups, yet is perfect for a weekend getaway. This home was a perfect rental for a girls weekend trip. The location is amazing, super close to the beach and the few Netarts restaurants. The beds are really comfortable and there are plenty of linens. Our only gripe would be the shower water pressure and temperature. It’s non existent and could be warmer. But overall, not a deal breaker. We really enjoyed the home and all it had to offer.

The house had a great view and was sufficiently equipped. Some of the chairs at the dining room table need replacing. I understand half replaced last year and the other half will be replaced this year. That will be very nice. We really enjoyed having the playroom for our kids. Only issue where the number of stairs getting up to the living area. These are required to have such a great view. For older people they were a challenge. Having said that we are returning next year.

Downside was couches were completely stained, carpet was also severely stained and lots of dust everywhere. Also chairs needs replaced very uncomfortable they are sunken in. Previous person who booked before me left a complaint not before me and nothing was done about these issues. I’ve booked with shore things for the past 5 years and have always had a well experience all around. Location was nice on this home also and hot tub included.

We enjoyed our stay for spring break! The house is very kid friendly, packed with games and books for the kids to enjoy. The hot tub worked perfectly, and the adults had a great time too! We plan to be back again next year! Sarah was extremely friendly and helped us out throughout the stay. The shower/tub downstairs never got hot water, which was a little tough with kids (there are two other showers that got hot)and there are no blinds on the kids bedroom windows (nothing that would keep us from renting again). Other than that, our stay was great and we highly recommend renting this house!

Our group came back to Family Tides for the second year in a row and had another wonderful experience. The views are wonderful. The furnishings are comfortable and clean, without being fussy. The instructions are clear. We love that there is enough space for a large group to spread out without feeling disconnected from each other. A few things we noticed were that there were no silicone or rubber spatulas in the kitchen, which explains why most of the nonstick pans are scratched. The non-primary bathroom shower did not get hot - most of our group experienced a cold shower, but the upstairs shower and the primary bedroom shower both seemed to get hot enough. It would be great to have a bit of supplies like foil, saran, etc. available - but Tillamook is a quick drive away and we just purchased our own. None of these items were pressing enough to bother texting the caretaker, just good to know before you get there or items that they may want to check out for their guests. One thing that was a little alarming that you should watch out for is that there is no stop sign at the top of the hill when you approach the highway. One of our group was driving at night and assumed that meant that there would be a stop sign for the oncoming highway traffic - that was a bit scary. I would suggest that the Happy Camp community put a stop sign at that intersection to avoid an accident. All in all we love Family Tides and hope to continue to come back. Thank you!

This is a beautiful house and very comfortable for our large family. Very clean and well furnished. A short walk to the beach and not too far from Tillamook for picking up stuff we forgot to bring.

Our group of “mature” women had a great time at Happy Camp Hideaway. Our week there was pretty low-key and gave us a chance to relax and reconnect with one another while enjoying parts of the Oregon coast. The location was convenient for day trips north, south, or east.
We opted to use the room with the Murphy bed and not use the bunk room and that worked well for our group. Everyone commented that the beds were very comfortable, and the house was well stocked with towels, shampoo, etc. The kitchen had plenty of cookware for our cooking needs.
When viewing this property you might want to consider the amount of stairs needed to climb when thinking about luggage and groceries.

The home and our stay was fantastic! Wonderful location, beautiful views, clean living and sleeping areas, nice hot tub and grill. Our large family all thoroughly enjoyed every minute here! We accidentally got locked out once, but a quick call to Sarah and she had someone come by with a key to let us into the house. They were so kind and even brought little chocolates for us because we waited a couple minutes for them. I couldn't recommend this property enough 🤗

Our family of nine was very comfortable in the house. Terrific view from the living room of the bay and ocean. Loved watching the pelicans swoop and dive for fish. Plenty for the kids to do with the beach a five minute walk away. Took excursions to the Oceanside beach and to the Tillamook Cheese factory. Fun time.

Our group was six adults and two 7 year olds. We couldn't have been happier with the rental. It has everything you need and more. Sarah was wonderful. A TV wasn't working, so she came out within 30ish minutes of messaging her. She couldn't get it to work and ended up buying a new one... and installed it herself! Her customer service is top notch. If you are curious about the tp, paper towels, shampoo/conditioner, etc situation... you really DON'T need to take any extra! The shampoo/con/bodywash were full sized, so leave yours at home! Kitchen was fully stocked (I did bring my own electric griddle). If you have kiddos, bring your own sand toys (I asked before our trip, so I knew to do so). The beds were great. Kids enjoyed their own space, in the bunkroom (only request, maybe some curtains in this room. Nobody needs the nonsense of kids waking up so early on vacation. Haha) Hot tub was also a hit for them.
Be prepared for your legs to get a work out, especially while unloading all of your stuff to take up. If you have older family members or older fur babies who have arthritis or can't climb stairs well, this may not be the best rental for your group. That said, most homes in this area DO have a lot of stairs.
We 1000% would rent this property again. Zero complaints from our group. If you're questioning renting this property...stop...just book it!

Fabulous weekend getaway!
We had a wonderful time at Family Tides. Our group of 6 adults and 3 kids had plenty of room to spread out. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. Having 3 full bathrooms for the group was nice! The view is amazing; we watched the sunset from the balcony each night. The kitchen had everything we needed to make large meals for the big group, and the huge dining table was great for spreading out and playing games. The couch was very comfortable! We forgot a couple of personal items and the site host is holding them for us in their office until we can go back to retrieve them in a few days - so wonderful of them! All of the communication has been really great - friendly, fast and helpful.
As other reviews mentioned - the dishwasher really doesn't work well. I would recommend saving yourself some time and just hand-wash the dishes. The sign does say to rinse before loading the dishwasher but even then we ended up having to re-wash dishes. Either the filter needs to be cleaned/replaced or perhaps the whole dishwasher. I don't mind handwashing dishes so that's a minor quibble.
We had a fantastic time and hope to rent here again!
