We had a great stay. Location was close to everything, walkable and safe. Enzo (property owner) was very helpful and attentive as well as communicated promptly. I greatly recommend this place

This was a very large apartment located near the Colosseum. I would recommend this place not only because of its location to the metro, but also because of its location to a bus stop that will take you practically anywhere you want to go in Rome. Two buses will get you to the Testaccio/Trastevere area, and others will get you pretty much anywhere you want to go downtown. My friend and I found the apartment to be clean and quiet compared to other areas of Rome. Enzo was a fantastic host who was excellent about communicating things and was very helpful with getting a transfer to the airport early in the morning for our departure. I would recommend this VRBO to friends and family.

We needed a place to stay in Rome for a couple of days. Wanted something central to not have to deal with driving in the city. By chance I came across this gem. Huge apartment that can easily accommodate 5+ people. From the booking to the arrival the host was in contact with us. We could even get into the apartment early on the day of arrival. Everything is exactly as described. The host met us at the apartment and explained everything in detail to us. He gave me his WhatsApp number in case there were any further questions(which we didn't have). Everything you need is available at the apartment, from dishes, cutlery, additional blankets, washing machine etc. There were even 2 umbrellas next to the entrance door for rainy days. At the last day the host came by for a quick check out before we left. He even arranged for transportation to the airport for us, which was extremely helpful since none of us spoke Italian well enough. The host speaks English very well and there was no language barriers. Would definitely recommend to anybody that's looking for a place in Rome.

Center location for many sight-seeings in Rome. No AC but it was during Oct for our trip so we did not need one. We felt safe walking from the apartment visiting many places in Rome- Pantheon, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Roma Termini… We event walked to Piazza del Popolo near Borghese Garden - 45min. The property owner - Enzo- was very nice. He provided good communication, booked us a taxi from airport, and all info re: our stay in Rome. This was our family first trip to Rome, so we certainly appreciated all Enzo’s assistances making our trip a pleasure one. Thank you Enzo!

This apartment is for those who love something a little different to a generic hotel room or a "could be anywhere" styled apartment. It's very old with original tiled floors and furniture and a little quirky, but has a lot of charm.... Although not quite as much charm as Enzo the owner! He is very helpful and kind and makes sure you have everything for your stay, right down to arranging transfers to and from the airport for you if you want (which are excellent). We loved that it was so close to supermarkets and little restaurants. We didn't cook (there are lots of pots, pans and utensils & a stove), but did prepare breakfasts and some lunches. It's very easy to walk everywhere and see everything in Rome and a big bonus to be able to stroll across to see the Colosseum at different times of the day without the major crowds. The apartment is very safe with an external (street) door into the courtyards and then a large entry door. We found it very clean and comfortable and there is a SMEG washing machine. We had the best time and want to thank Enzo for such a fantastic stay, we can't wait to come back ..... some day! Grazie Mille

Enzo was so warm and welcoming, showing us the ins and outs of the apartment, helping us settle in, and giving us some local recommendations to try out. We found the apartment to be exactly what we needed with a well equiped kitchen, spacious and full of character. There were plenty of fans to help with the warm weather (no air con, but we were aware of this, have no issue with not having one and fans did the job just as well ).
I would definitely stay here again. Thank you Enzo for making our time in Rome just that little bit more special.

This place is in a great location, perfect for walking around Rome. We had a great time and it was close to everything! Grocery store just a 5 min walk restaurants all around and just a few min walk to the colosseum. Lots of room for us and our 3 kids. Enzo was very helpful and did a great job of checking us in. He is very prompt on getting us checked in and also checked out. I would definitely recommend this property if you want to stay in the heart of Rome.

The location was great for the train station and the Coloseum/Forum. Restaurants and cafes were only a couple of blocks away. We also enjoyed the park across the street. Enzo was terrific to communicate with and very responsive as we were juggling changing arrival times. He also was helpful in arranging a cab for our trip to the airport. We really appreciated the spaciousness of the apartment. Lots of room for four adults to spread out. It was really hot while we were there so it was a bit noisy at night when we had the windows open.

Location is ideal for Colosseum, Roman forum and Palatine hill. Alter of Fatherland easy walk. We walked to Pantheon and Piazza Navona no problem, took about 20 mins. We even walked from Borguese Gardens and museum but these are a little further north. Enzo is a great host! Easily accessed and responded so fast through what’s app. Apartment is as advertised and has all the basics. No frills but definitely adequate and the location is truly great. At the end of our stay Enzo assisted us with luggage storage near the train station. Oh and use the FREENOW app for any taxi service! Thanks Enzo!

The property was spacious and clean. It had almost everything we needed for our 3 night stay. We were missing a kettle, but were able to make do with the gas hob to heat up water. The host was very hospitable. He met us at the apartment and gave us full instructions on how to open the doors, windows etc. He also allowed us to leave our luggage at the apartment for a few hours after checking out. This was much appreciated. The only downside was the mattress and pillow quality. We didn’t sleep too well due to the discomfort: flat and lumpy. But all that said we would definitely go back and stay, because the location and everything else was perfect! Thank you Enzo.

Lovely apartment on first floor in nice neighborhood close to the colosseum. Big enough for the four of us with plenty of extra room. Showers were a challenge with minimal hot water but we just spaced them out throughout the day and night.
Enzo is the perfect host!

This location was ideal for us. It was right across the street from a park that led right tot the Coliseum, Forum, and so on. We were close enough to everything, but it still felt like a nice residential neighborhood. Enzo was very friendly and accommodating and communication was excellent. He went the extra mile with us for our very early check out. The apartment was exactly as advertised.

My son and I stayed at the property in Mid-September and could not be happier! Enzo was fantastic to deal with, quick to communicate, and had great local tips on places in the area! The 2 restaurants he suggested were very close, and very good! I would also add the Martini & Rossi patio for an evening view of the Colosseum. I got some excellent sunset shots I have shared with him.
Everything is very close to get to, and walkable. You could also download one of the scooter apps and get around easily as well.
Nothing but great things to say, and great memories for my 50th birthday! Grazie, Enzo!

Just back from Rome and we were very pleased with our accommodations! The apartment is in a quiet area and easy walking distance from the Colosseum (8 minutes) as well as numerous restaurants, and only a 20 minute walk from Rome Termini. It was also easy to get a cab from the apartment to farther away locations using the FreeNow app. The apartment had everything we needed for our 5 nights in Rome. And thanks to Enzo for being a great host! Great communication and very friendly!

The apartment is just as advertised, and Enzo was a great host. He was very friendly and helpful. We traveled with a large amount of luggage and he assisted us at both check in and check out to transfer our bags up and down from the apartment (up one level from the street entrance.) Enzo also gave us recommendations for a few local restaurants to try (the pastry shop was amazing!) and was available via WhatsApp if we had any questions during our stay.
The apartment is in an older building, but everything was functional and clean. Internet connection was mostly limited to the sitting room and you couldn't connect in the back rooms, but this was not a big issue. Don't expect to stream content on multiple devices at the same time, but it was fine for web browsing. The bed frames were pretty squeaky, but the beds were comfortable. Enzo warned us that the hot water system can't support multiple long showers in a row. We had plenty of hot water, but we were conscious to take shorter showers.
We really liked the location of the apartment. Easy walking to restaurants, supermarket, bus stops and both A and B metro lines. The neighborhood was quiet at night. If its your first time to Rome, the Colosseum is a handy landmark to stay next to. It's huge, hard to miss, and anyone in the city can direct you in the right direction if you get lost. We did end up taking local buses to most other sites, but we were traveling with children and so we wanted to cut down on the amount of walking we did. (You can buy bus tickets from the vending machines in the metro stop right next to the Colosseum.)
Overall, this apartment was perfect for our family of five, and we would stay here again.

This property is less than 500 yards from the Coliseum, and 200 yards from a taxi stand. If you want to call a cab to the front door, the house number is well known. Even if your only Italian language skills consist of spaghetti, lasagna, and pizza; you can easily spell the name of the street and they will find you.
If you need to use the subway, the Vittorio Emanuele Station is about a half mile away or a 10 minute walk. On the subway you can easily reach the major attractions in less than thirty minutes. Along the walk to or from the subway, you will find all necessary retail outlets to enhance you stay in Rome.
But the greatest attraction for this property is its owner, Enzo. He is a local. He can give you great advice regarding major attractions and local hangouts. He is a consummate patient professional. We were "Covid Cancelled" three times and each time he worked with us to reschedule our trip. We felt like we had become part of his family, and we were going to bring him a gift, but the airlines lost it in transit.
In summation, it is a terrific property, in a terrific location, with great character, and a wonderful owner. When we go back to Rome, we will seek this accommodation again.

Great Location
The apartment is very close to the Colosseum. Surprisingly, we found it very quiet in a location so close to attractions. Enzo was charming and helpful. He allowed us to book earlier which we greatly appreciated and offered to arrange a ride to and from the airport. The images of the apartment are accurate.

Perfect Trip, we spent four days in the apartment, only five minutes by walk to the collosseum. Metro Station is nearby. Enzo arranged everything perfectly, the shuttle service from and to the airport was perfect as well. We can only recommend booking this flat.

Lovely spacious apartment near the Colosseum. Short walk to the metro, tram and bus stops, also restaurants and cafes.

The property is very near to the Colosseum and The Forum. The property is in an historic building and has a lot of character. There are a few things an international traveler looks for; a comfortable bed, a good bathroom and wifi. There were 3 beds in the property so I can't speak for the other two, but my bed took some getting used to and initially was not comfortable. The bathroom was acceptable and although we didn't encounter it, we were warned about the potential low capacity of the hot water. There was wifi but it was slow and not all rooms performed well, the kitchen in particular. There were certainly dining options in the area, but we would have preferred to be in the area between the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon which had tons of shopping and dining options. Also, as a warning, there were additional charges that were listed in a separate document called "Rent Rules" that was provided by the property owner that included some sort of tourist charge and they wanted a significant deposit. I objected strongly with Orbitz on this issue and apparently my objection was listened to. Thank you to the property owner and to Orbitz!

Best place in Rome!!
The apartment was super clean and in a perfect location! It was a five minute walk from the coliseum, close to the metro station, and had plenty of restaurants nearby. The host was friendly and even allowed us to drop off our luggage before check-in. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone going to Rome!

Great location, but needs cleaning
Property manager and driver that picked us up at airport were great. But the apartment desperately needed a good cleaning. Floors were ok, sheets and towels were clean, but dishes were dirty, no bag in garbage, and 100 year old dirt/grime everywhere. We left it cleaner than when we got there.

Excellent apartment in terrific location.
We stayed in Enzo's apartment the week before last. There were 6 of us and we very much enjoyed our stay.
The best thing about the apartment is the location, which could not have been better for us. It is next door to Domus Aurea and a park, across the street from the Colosseum and San Clemente, and easy walking distance of the Forum, Palatine hill, Capitoline hill, and Trajan's Forum. It is an easy walk to the Colosseum metro stop on line B and not much further in the other direction to a stop on the A line. Many buses pass in the street just below the apartment in via Labicana and around the Colosseum. There are plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, pizza and gelato places in easy walking distance. This is a great location.
The apartment itself is in a large building and requires a climb of only 1 floor. The building has an elevator as well. The pictures describe the apartment accurately as far as furniture and rooms. The beds were clean and comfortable. Enzo also provided a crib and high chair for a baby in our group. The apartment is quite roomy and we were able to have good privacy from each other.
Everything in the apartment worked just fine, including the washing machine. There is only 1 bathroom. The shower works well, but is a bit small for big people. The water heater uses a tank instead of a continuous heater, so we found that we could only do about three showers, with the water pressure turned down a bit, before the hot water ran out. It took about an hour for the hot water to regenerate. That wasn't a problem for as as we didn't all want to shower at the same time. We did have some trouble where the internet stopped working after a couple of days, but rebooting the router fixed the problem for most of us.
Enzo and Carola were always very responsive every time we contacted them and very good to work with. We felt like the for the price, this apartment was a very good value. We give this place a very good recommendation and would stay here again.

Wonderful
This was my first time using VRBO and I couldn't be happier with our stay at this apartment. Great communication from the apartment owner, apartment is as pictured, and the location was fantastic.
If I ever get to go to Rome again I would stay here. It was perfect for our family vacation.

Great location comfortable and cozy apartment
it was such a pleasure to stay in the apartment. The park, just one block away, was enjoyable to walk through. Once through the gates the colosseum was visible and a photographers dream. We stayed 4 nights and walked to all of the ancient city sites.
The rooms were comfortable and well maintained. Communication with the host was great and they are very quick to respond.
When we come back to Rome in the future we will most definitely ask to stay again.

Super location and nice apartment
We spent five nights here in April 2019 (two adult sisters, and mother). Enzo was super responsive leading up to the stay, and helped set up an airport transfer for our mom who was traveling to Rome before our arrival and even let us check in early. That was a huge relief. Carola was waiting for her when she arrived, and gave her the rundown and some local tips.
The location of this apartment cannot be beat. So close to the Coliseum, and easy to walk to the train station, etc. The neighborhood felt safe, and had lots of little amenities close by.
The apartment is spacious and well equipped. I personally found the beds and pillows a bit hard, but that is just personal preference. Lots of space for a large family, or group of friends with variable bed configurations.
We had a GREAT stay, and I would not hesitate booking this apartment again for my next trip to Rome. And we DID throw coins in the Trevi Fountain, so I fully expected to return. Happy Travels!!!!

Historic Apartment, Perfect Location
We stayed four nights in this apartment with a perfect location for us. Near the Colosseum but within walking distance to other attractions such as Circo Massimo and Plaza Venezia. The metro is also close by for those attractions further away.
The apartment is an older building with plenty of character. My husband and I stayed with another couple and there was plenty of room (two bedrooms) . Although there is a smaller hot water heater we were able to schedule showers with one couple showering in the evening and another showering in the morning.
The host (Enzo) and his co-worker (Michele) were very accomodating with us arriving early on our first day (we were able to drop our luggage off) and arranging for a cab to the airport for all four of us and our luggage on our last day. The first day we walked walked around the neighborhood learning the best places for coffee, pizza, and groceries. The apartment is also located next to a beautiful park providing a place to get away from the crowds of Rome attractions.
I really can't think of anything negative and would highly recommend this apartment.
