We stayed in Epsilon villa and it was amazing, the villa and the garden are very nicely and thoughtfully designed and clean. The location is perfect, close to the beach and the restaurants.
Yannis and Cecile are amazing hosts, they really think of everything and are ready to help. We were there with a small child and they even brought a huge box of lovely toys for him. There is also a little Library next to the reception where you can borrow everything from books to beach toys, parasols, you name it.
We hope to come back one day, and highly recommend this place to everyone.

Almyrida Sands. Recommended, Recommended - HIGHLY Recommended!
The lovely couple who run these apartments were onsite every morning, greeting us with smiles and conversations. They were always incredibly friendly, warm and helpful by spending time answering our questions and also loaning us toys for the apartment and the beach. We were greeted on our first morning with a basket of fresh, homemade bread and homemade jam (you can buy the jam onsite - recommended to take home!). What a wonderful way to ease into a week's vacation! These little touches helped us slip into vacation mode straight away as any worries were simply whisked away.
Our apartment (Omega) was a great and safe space for us and our 18 month old daughter. As requested, we were given a changing table and cot, as well as eating utensils and a bath for her. Our apartment was cleaned regularly to an incredibly high standard - extremely helpful with a little one in tow! The outdoor space is ideal for baby baths (!), drying washing or simply relaxing with a glass of wine.
Almyrida itself is an ideal location to spend your vacation as it is a small town with just enough amenities for your stay. Small beaches, lovely restaurants and a few (smaller) supermarkets to get your basics as you need them. Also, it is close to the airport (45 min drive), to hikes/culture/nature, but also the price and ratings of this 'home away from home'.
The 4.9* rating of Almyrida Sands is far too low! Spotlessly clean apartment, cosy white, warm environment with the smells of carefully chosen plants, views on the cove of Almyrida... I could not recommend this place more.
Thank you for our rejuvenating stay. Your care for our family allowed us to truly create meaningful memories and reconnect with ourselves and one another, for which we will be forever grateful for.
If we had anything to fault, it would be that their care and attention to the smallest of details was so spot on that finding anywhere else of this standard to stay in (anywhere in the world!), will be extremely difficult!!

- Location isn't that good, you are only 60m in straight line from beach but to reach that beach you have to walk 300m on a steep road (without pavement) full of cars. For toddlers and eldery it might be very uncomfortable

- Swimming pool would be great but its not complain because I knew that it is not there, (most of space outside is for parking)

Our apartment was really small (Studi app Alpha) with no space for sit and eat inside.
No sink in the bathroom so you have to wash the tooth in the kitchen.
If you stay for one night or two that is no problem.

We stayed in Epsilon villa which has a wonderful atmosphere and picturesque views. The property itself is immaculate with manicured gardens. Yannis and Cecile take great pride in the presentation of the property.

It was a great experience overall. We enjoyed very much the outstanding sea view, the closeness to the beach, the nice village nearby where we could enjoy delicious Greek meals and the very friendly French hosts and the Greek people working in the village are wonderful.

Beautiful place in every way! Nicely decorated, clean and well equiped appartment. Lovely patio to eat and relax. The garden is beautiful. There is a private parking space on the yard so you never have to worry about finding one. The owners are so nice and helpful, always asking if everything is ok. Appartment was even cleaned in the middle of our four day stay. There are shops and restaurants nearby. We highly recommend!

We had a great contact with the hosts who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and for our stay to be enjoyable. The property was spotless clean and came with a very comfortable bed. Location was good as well, close to the beach and many good tavernas serving delicious Greek food.
Not much to complain about. We rented a room at the start of the season, meaning there were still ongoing some noisy prep-works at times and also the sea view from our apartment could have been more direct/prominent (as not all seaviews are equal ;), but we had a great stay regardless.

Beautiful and really well maintained - owner was on property every day and brought us home made bread and preserves, and olive oil from their own trees, Good parking. Good proximity to Almyrida. Good water pressure, great bedding and lovely styling. Perfectly clean. Excellent WiFi. We were very impressed.
There are steep stairs both outside and within the property. We didn't have any incidents, but I'm pretty phobic about coming downstairs generally, so it was a challenge. Would not put me off booking again though and the site has other properties on just the GF.
The mattresses are very, very firm. I have a firm mattress at home, but we have a topper. The beds here were hard on my side-sleeping hips. We only stayed 3 nights, which I think might be my limit.

Gem of a place located just outside Almyrida, perfect location, super friendly hosts, very modern and well equipped apartment. Would definitely recommend.
Whilst the apartment was supplied with toilet rolls and bottled water on arrival, and home baked fresh bread rolls for breakfast on the first morning plus fresh oranges on the second, it would be great to have a few more basics such as tea bags, milk and juice on arrival, particularly for anyone arriving late in the day. Other than that, perfect :-)

The property is beautiful and in a great location. The hosts were amazing and went out of their way to make sure we had a fantastic stay. The bead and jam they delivered as a welcoming present was delicious. The apartment was spotless and gardens were very well presented. Lots of great restaurants in the area.

- Simple check-in procedure (key is stored in a lock box for which you get a code prior to arrival)
- Very well equipped apartment (more than enough appliances including dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine, pots and pans, more than enough cutlery, plates, glasses etc.)
- Location is great, both in terms of views and distance to Almyrida centre where you find all kinds of restaurants, the beach, pharmacy and markets);
- Separate air conditioning in each bedroom;
- Big and comfortable beds;
- Two separate bathrooms (one on each floor)
- The apartment was exceptionally clean upon arrival, towels were changed every second day, very thorough cleaning throughout the stay;
- The host is available pretty much all the time, is very friendly and helpful
All in all our stay was exceptional. We did not expect this level of care of the owner, who would make sure that you have everything you need throughout the stay. The apartments and the surrounding area were very clean, and there is literaly nothing more you can ask to make your stay any better.
- We had some minor issues with hot water in the shower - sometimes there was no hot water, and we had to wait for it to warm up, especially early in the morning. I guess it has something to do with the technology they use in Greece. Another thing is, while showering, the water would turn very hot at some point, and after you turn the temperature down, it would turn very cold all of a sudden after a couple of minutes, so you have to pay attention and turn it up and down every couple of minutes to keep it at an optimal level. Not really an issue, just something to keep in mind.

The warmness of the welcome of Cecilia and Yannis . The place is very beautiful. It is obvious that they made it with much love and good taste. They offered us homemade marmalade wine and bread. We had everything we needed and much more. Even a warming machine for the backacking of my husband.

Our family came to Crete to celebrate the children's wedding. The older members of the family lived at Villa Almirida Sand in Epsilon Apartments. This is the perfect place for the whole family to gather at a large table for dinner before the wedding and on other evenings. The bride and groom specially came to our villa for a photo session because of the beautiful views of the mountains and the sea from the terrace. Beautiful photos were taken in the garden.
The apartments are very comfortable and spacious. Everywhere is clean. Comfortable beds, clean linens and towels. It is good that the apartments are equipped with a dishwasher and washing machine. For a large company, this is convenient. The bedrooms are small but cozy with open wardrobes in each. All bedroom windows have mosquito nets. The air conditioners are new and quiet.
And, of course, the terrace! A cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening on the terrace were complemented by amazing views! Thanks to Cecil and Janis for their care and attention from the first to the last day of our stay! Your olive oil is amazingly delicious!
Nothing. But, pay attention, on the way to the apartments there is a rather steep climb (about 50 meters). We are older people ourselves and we understand that for some this will cause difficulty. But walk to the beach just 3 minutes!

excellent stay! we stayed for couple of days. close to the beach by walk in case you don’t have a car. superb comfy bed. everything brand new and clean. great value for money. they had things available at the hotel that we could take and use at the beach, very handy for us. we stayed in the studio apt and even tho is small it had everything we needed including the kitchen and all the utensils ready for us to prepare our daily breakfast. thanks for your hospitality. we loved our stay in almyrida sands!!!

We had the most amazing stay at Almyrida Sands. Cécil and Yannis are the best hosts ever. They were so friendly and helpful with anything. The first morning they surprised us with the freshest bread, homemade marmelade and some sweet oranges. The rooms are very beautiful and cozy. We truly loved everything of our stay at Almyrida Sands. If you are coming to Almirida you definitely need to stay here!

The apartment (Epsilon) was very clean, spacious and comfortable, with a lovely terrace and spectacular views of the mountains and sea. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and gave us great recommendations for local restaurants and activities. The location was excellent - just a short stroll to the beach and to the restaurants of both Almyrida and Plaka.
