Very good basic hotel, clean and comfy. We turned up super early as our bus was weirdly fast and they had our room sorted so we could check in straight away. Small but practical kitchen with everything you’d need. Friendly staff always there to say hi. No issues and would stay again
Quite loud from the road and no real insulation or window protection but it’s an old colonial building on a busy road!

Wonderful location, it's within easy walking distance of all the major downtown sites, with many restaurants and shops just steps away. The staff are helpful, and I felt very safe here as a mom with two kids. They organized an airport transfer to greet us in the middle of the night, and made sure someone was at the hostel to meet us.
The family room is right against the street, and it's very loud, making it difficult to sleep. This is the only reason we wouldn't be back, the walls are just too thin to get a good night's rest. The room and beds are dated, and all could use an upgrade, but for the price point this place is a great deal.

The location is very near a popular area of Quito with trendy restaurants and entertainment with historic monuments and character. The hotel itself is Art Deco. The rooms are comfortable and unique. Pets are welcomed and the staff is friendly and helpful.
There are a lot of steps with heavy luggage or a health issue but the staff assists.
