The view, the localisation of the hotel in a quiet place, the swimming pool, the different zone equipped with fire to spend the evening and enjoy a nice glass of wine, and the lake.
Overall we were really disappointed and frustrated, the hotel has the potential to be spectacular but everything is done at the minimum, below what we could expect for the price we pay for Colombia. First of all to access the hotel we need to use a dirt road over 6km which is clearly damaged by the rain, we nearly got stuck with our cars because no one informed us before arriving that we should rent a 4x4. There is just one sentence about it on the reservation, but we would expect the hotel to highlight such an issue or at least suggest up front to park the car in a city nearby and collect us with a boat or a car adapted to the road. Regarding the room they offer an incredible view but here also regarding the size of the room it wouldn't be an issue to fit a wider bed (instead of the 140cm that are used today), the noise insulation wasn't good so we were woken up at 7h30 everyday by the staff just doing their job. Regarding the breakfast here also it was quite disappointing. The eggs and the arepa were really good but the plate of fruit was really small and serving instant coffee in this region' of Colombia with the price we paid for the hotel is quite a joke ! Last but not least the staff was closing the bar at 9pm which is also quite a joke when there is nothing around, so we weren't able to enjoy the installation properly.
We left the hotel really frustrated because of the price we paid for the level of service we received which was really the minimum compared to the potential of such an amazing place !
