They didn’t mention on their website or on Booking.com that their spa was closed. After we submitted a complaint, they offered us one free drink at the hotel bar hahaha, as if that would make up for not having a jacuzzi for two nights. 😂

For a 5-star hotel, we found the price far too high considering that one of the main facilities we were paying for — the spa and jacuzzi — was unavailable for our entire two-night stay. What made the situation particularly frustrating was the lack of transparency before booking. We actually showed the hotel staff that the closure was not clearly disclosed on either their own website or on Booking.com. Despite this, they flat-out denied that there was an issue with the information provided to guests. At the same time, the hotel continued to display the same attractive photos of the spa and its facilities, even though guests could not actually use them. In our opinion, this is extremely misleading. If a 5-star hotel has its spa under construction and therefore reduces its room rates, this should be made unmistakably clear before a guest books. I would expect a prominent warning — for example, a clearly visible red notice on the booking page — stating that the spa and jacuzzi are closed due to construction and explaining that this is reflected in the rate. Guests should not have to discover this only after arriving at the hotel. We had initially booked the hotel at a higher price, but shortly before our stay, I noticed a lower rate and rebooked at that price. When we complained about the spa being closed, the hotel argued that they couldn’t offer us a refund or any special rate because we had already booked at the lower price. However, the lower rate really wasn’t much cheaper than the price we had previously booked, especially considering that our earlier rate also included breakfast. More importantly, a slightly lower last-minute rate doesn’t change the fact that we booked a 5-star hotel advertised with spa facilities and were not clearly informed beforehand that the spa and jacuzzi would be unavailable. Using the lower rate as a reason not to offer any meaningful compensation also doesn’t make sense to us.

Everything about this hotel was fantastic! From the time I checked in to the time I checked out. All the staff that worked there were terrific. From the the receptionist desk, the cleaning personnel, the restaraunt staff to the manager. The rooms were clean. The bed was great. The food was excellent. Yeah…… I will highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through Germany. Awesome place!!!👍☮️

We were upgraded because the curtains are not translucent. In a city where every apartment has electronic blinds why doesn’t the hotel have them? Staff extremely helpful . Parking easy. Breakfast excellent. Quiet
