If you're a sun worshiper, paradise is here, on an 850 square foot open deck. Sunrise, sunset, and all day sunshine can be enjoyed from this large open well furnished space. Relax in your own private hot tub while viewing the endless horizon. Inside, the spacious, beautifully furnished rooms provide plenty of space for everyone to spread out, relax and enjoy vacation. Every room is extra large with lots of comfortable furniture. The living and dining area is surrounded by sweeping floor to ceiling windows so that you can enjoy the view almost as well indoors as out on the deck. An elaborate combination of window tinting and custom blinds make it easy to control light and heat in the spacious living area. The kitchen has a ceramic top range and all the appliances and cooking utensils you might need to prepare meals, along with a washer and dryer for laundry. The dining table and breakfast bar provide seating for ten, and there are plenty of dishes and tableware to go around. Broad counter tops have space for extensive food preparation. The dining table has space for everyone, there is a bar and wall mounted flat screen TV in the living room for entertainment. The master bedroom has a king size bed, its own private balcony, huge closets, and a dressing area separate from the bathroom. There are TVs in all the bedrooms. This was a perfect fit for us. We each had our own bathroom and bedroom!! The hot tub was a fabulous start and end to each day, and not having to share it with anyone else was amazing!! The view is gorgeous and the deck furniture is very comfortable and sturdy!! The toy closet , shown in the picture, has beach chairs, beach toys, wave boards and many toys for children. The washer and dryer provided extra conveniences.
This is not the Ritz Carlton, but the views and the layout made it a wonderful vacation for us. There were games, books, movies and puzzles if we needed inside activities also. We did not have any issues with parking.
Communication with management was outstanding! We would stay here again, in a heartbeat.

The views were amazing from the condo and having the private hot tub was very nice, the facility itself was also nice. The condo, was sadly not up to par, it was very dirty, the walls looked as if they have never been cleaned, the popcorn ceiling was falling, the drywall looked like it was touched up in some rooms and crumbling because it wasn’t done properly. I don’t think they ever heard of dusting, the outside light was hanging by wires. Paying $3200 for a week I expected our place to be at least cleaned, being outdated wouldn’t have been a big issue if the cleaning was done! I’d also recommend stripping all the sheets because ours for sure were not cleaned before we came, the inside ac unit leaked and left a huge puddle of water which we didn’t notice until someone fell in the water. The host put nothing back into the place and it obviously shows.

Nice view but needs to be updated
It was a great view, a great deck, and a great hot tub. The location was great and close to many venues. Hot water was luke warm at best and too many bugs (they need a monthly service to spray for huge water bugs). When we arrived there was a beer can on the deck of the master bedroom, dirty underwear in the second bedroom in the dresser, and too much sand on the bar stools. We left a chair outside the room one night and we got a warning ticket. We passed a room every night where a wagon full of beach stuff was left out every night and no one gave them a warning or they would have stopped. Faucets, cabinets, and the sliding door off the master bedroom need to be replaced. The price should not only be about the view but also the weekly maintenance needed to maintain a rental.

You could not hear the people above you or next to you. The layout of the condo was perfect for our family and had a lot of comfortable seating for everyone. It’s very spacious and a lot of room for kids to run and play. The bedrooms were also a nice size. The deck was beautiful and plenty of space to gather. And as I said the view is beautiful. They gave us plenty of towels, blankets and pillows and were not in need of any of those things. The front entrance is really spacious and nice to be able to leave the beach stuff right there.
The only real complaint I have about this property and it’s small one are the outlets. A lot of them didn’t work or things would not stay plugged in.

Gorgeous Views and Ultimate relaxation
The view as you walk in is breath taking!! It was everything we hoped for and more. Plenty of space, the hot tub a definite bonus!! Kitchen adequately stocked although I did add a few extras ;). It's a bit outdated and could use some updating but it suited us so really not a big deal! We stayed in the master suite and found it to be a bit warmer than the rest of the house but with the two box fans blowing on us, we slept comfortably. My only other minor complaint is there was never enough hot water. There was 6 of us and someone (usually me lol) was always taking a cold shower. We learned to stagger showers and some would shower at night rather than in the morning. Overall, I would recommend this property! The pool area was never very busy nor was the beach. Always able to find seating/space. We had a wonderful & relaxing vacation!!

Beautiful Views
The view when first entering the condo is amazing. The kitchen was adequately stocked and the condo was clean. It is a bit outdated and could use updating. The private hot tub was an added plus but the cover needs repair. Overall it was a wonderful family vacation.

While it was cold during our stay the hot tub was a big plus for 3 teenage boys! The views are relaxing and the property had a great layout.

Breathe taking views!
We had a great vacation at Surfmaster. The grounds of the property are well taken care of, pool, parking garage, elevator..... The condo itself is in good condition. Everything was in good working order and it was just as expected from the pictures. It could use a little tlc & a good deep cleaning but we were very comfortable. The beds & furniture were very comfortable & the balcony is one of a kind with a hot tub & views that can’t be beat! The property manager was quick to respond with any questions we had. We would book this property again.

We had a very nice stay at the surfmaster penthouse L the week of memorial day. The place was clean and the panoramic view was AMAZING!!! The weather was perfect the entire week... Condo is close to a lot of places to eat and shopping. We would stay there again.Thanks!

Stunning views right on the beach
The property's outdoor space was amazing and, unsurprisingly, was where my family and I spent most of our time. We enjoyed watching the sunrise from the high top yellow chairs, and the sunsets from the hot tub. The interior of the apartment was pretty good as well. The family and dining areas are extremely large which was perfect for gathering to eat, play games, watch movies, etc. Two of the bedrooms felt more updated, but the third bedroom needed some renovation. Overall, the cleanliness was okay. We noticed some dead bugs scattered across the place, and when we moved the couch to get more space, we noticed no one vacuumed under it for quite some time. Those issues aside, this place really was special and we enjoyed our stay immensely.

Everything was amazing. If I had any complaints it would be the master bedroom stayed very warm. It didn't seem like the air worked very well in there, but they had plenty of fans in the closet so that helped. We will definitely stay here again!

Great stay in Garden City
We had a great time at the Surfmaster. The property was very clean and well kept. Yes, the decor may be a bit dated, but the beds were comfy, the view was exceptional, and we had everything we needed. The master bedroom does get some warm air coming through the sliding door, but nothing that can’t be remedied with one of the four fans in the closet. We will definitely be back!

Surfmaster Penthouse L is a beautiful & spacious condo with panoramic views of the ocean, beach & the salt-water marsh -- sunrises & sunsets are spectacular from the large wrap-around balcony with private hot tub. The Property Managers & Owners are always responsive & helpful. We so enjoy returning each year for the month of November -- it's our vacation home away from home.

Very Roomy
Property is very nice - large deck to sun bath when to windy on the beach - only issue was the hot tub - it is to be serviced before every arrival and it was not - had to call for service/cleaning -just saying hoping the owners see this and communicate with the company who is hired so the owners are not being billed for service not provided.

Surfmaster penthouse l
So far it's been great few problems but they were handled quickly and professionally. Beautiful view from the balcony. We have a few days left hope all goes well. Our week vacation is over now and we had a great time. The penthouse was great just a little problem with bugs on the balcony and a few inside. The view is outstanding from inside and outside. If I come to Myrtle beach again I probably would stay here again.

Surfmaster for the win
Pros: super spacious, awesome views, plenty of seating, easy access to beach and pool, close to tons of fun things to do (within 30 minutes), linens provided, washer and dryer, excellent communication with owner via VRBO app
Cons: the air conditioning in the master bedroom was at least 15 degrees hotter than the rest of the suite. Luckily there were box fans left in the closet for us to use. Floors could have been cleaner (under couches, closet, etc.) We had to vacuum up what looked like peanuts, bugs, and trash. Even though we got notice via email, it was a bummer to have painters and building maintenance going on during our stay (workers yelling during the baby's naptime).
Wish list: lights in the unit are crazy bright (high efficiency bulbs with no globes), decor was a Hodge lodge of mismatched things and outdated. Counters in kitchen are all tile and some are cracked (grout can be a bacteria breeding ground).
Overall: We loved this penthouse. It is very utilitarian and spacious. The views are amazing and the other guests we met were all very nice. Would definitely come back.

Great 3 bedroom condo oceanfront
This is a great 3 bedroom/bathroom condo on the beach with a great view. All rooms are very roomy. The master bedroom is huge. All the beds were very comfy. Kitchen seemed to be well stocked although we did not cook. Hot tub was very clean and we enjoyed it, but only had time for one use as we were pretty busy. the hot tub is a 3-4 person hot tub. I couldn't give this 5 stars only because the carpets were filthy. There were stains all over the living room carpet and the bottoms of our feet turned black. Window sills were dirty and I had to wipe them because the babier kept putting their hands on them. We loved the high yellow chairs on the deck and all 6 adults spent time on them.

Everything was great except too costly. We stay I. The area regularly and was charged double the going rate and it was off season. Dryer left black oil on clothes. Scrub with Dawn to remove.

Spacious, beautiful view, enjoyable hot tub, well equipped kitchen, Hugh master bedroom with great view. Love the heat / sun blocking, blinds. Kitchen table as big enough play board games. Loved the sofa recliners.
Needs: increase to # of towels and make them thicker/ softer. The towels provided were very thread bare and rough especially to sun sensitive skin.
Needs: replace the fold out beds or do not offer them as an option. worn out, flimsy. We used them for a 5 and 3 year old but they would have been just as comfortable on the floor.
Needs. Please change out the shower curtains, mildew noticed at the bottom.
The codes to the pool or beach access provided by the rental company were not usable. Tried several times. We worked around it by just entering the beach on the side public access so it did not bother us to call anyone.
We did some what find it disturbing, the first use of the garbage disposal to see cigarette buts bilge up in the opposite sink. Only one time occurrence, we cleaned it up an resumed our family vacation. Did not blame the owners, rental company, or cleaners. Who would expect some nasty cigarette smokier to put their nasty buts down the kitchen sink. Yuck!
Overall, would visit again.

Surfmaster Penthouse L is a clean, spacious, luxurious condo on the 7th floor overlooking the beautiful Garden City beach & Atlantic ocean -- we have stayed here for the month of November every year for the past 8 years, and intend to book it again for 2019. The check-in process was efficient, and the condo was ready for our arrival with linens, towels & well-equipped kitchen and other amenities. The wrap around balcony with its own private hot tub is a definite plus, enabling gorgeous views of both sunrises & sunsets. The owners are most helpful & accommodating. Thanks for another wonderful experience -- this has become our home away from home, without the burden of ownership.

The view alone is worth 10 stars. Our most favorite spot to hang out was the balcony on those awesome tall bright yellow chairs. The furnishings were very nice and comfortable for a vacation spot! It fit our family of 8 perfectly with the two roll away beds. The crazy amount of mirrors in the largest bathroom is a bit weird and the fixtures are very outdated. There was a closet filled with beach toys and boards that was not in the description. While it was a nice surprise to have those, many things were broken and it was a mess so we spent a few minutes cleaning it up. The hot tub was great for what little bit we used it. It was just too hot outside when we were there. The pool was excellent for my son whom wasn't a fan of the beach. Spent a little time there every day. The kitchen was a workable size, but quite outdated. This isnt that big of a deal as we were on vacation and werent there for the kitchen cabinets. While there are many pots, pans, utensils, etc. They definitely could use an overhaul as they were all very odd sizes and it was hard to prepare a complete meal without needing to reuse the same pot for something else. Just an FYI - One of the pictures showed a blender on the counter so we brought things to make smoothies. Unfortunately, there was no bottom to the blender. Overall our stay was great! There were however, two HUGE issues we had with the condo. #1 was that the listing is for a SMOKE FREE condo, something we specifically looked for in our search for a vacation rental, since 3 of our family members have asthma. However, when we arrived Saturday afternoon, the entire place absolutely stunk of cigarettes. We immediately called the leasing office with a promise of a return phone call. We called again and still heard nothing until the next day when we were told someone would be out to the condo. It was not until MONDAY afternoon that someone finally came and brought us an air purifier. Unfortunately, it did nothing for the smoke as it was too small of a machine for such a large space. We purchased a candle melt warmer from the local Walmart to at least mask the smell, but unfortunately whomever stayed before us, smoked so much the cigarette smell was soaked into everything. A seriously deep cleaning was needed. #2 was the electric throughout the condo. The wiring and light fixtures throughout the condo are in serious need of updating. The light fixtures in the kitchen and bathrooms were nothing but bare BRIGHT light bulbs against mirrored backgrounds. They were very harsh and just WAY too much. We actually unscrewed many of the bulbs during our stay to minimize the blinding. Many of the outlets didn't work or they were so old and over used that whatever you plugged into it just fell out. Light switches were all over the place, but you couldnt tell what went to what. Some controlled outlets, but we didnt figure that out until a few days later. We mentioned this to the maintenance guy that brought the air purifier. This is a serious thing that should be addressed. If we ever plan a vacation in Myrtle Beach area again, we would definitely consider this condo again, so long as these two issues have been corrected. **This review was written shortly after our vacation in Mid-June, however, today I realized it never posted for some reason. I surely hope those who stayed after us, had a better experience.

The directions to pick up the keys you provide are a little out dated. Its not a left turn off route 544, its a right. The address provided is incorrect. So other than taking a half hour to find it everything was fine. The closet smells badly and the light under microwave is burned out. Z

Will stay again
A bit nervous when I booked due to some of the reviews, but we were very pleased and will stay there again. Checking in and out was easy and the staff was friendly! Yes the condo is a bit dated, but VERY clean upon arrival. We had 6 people there for Christmas and no complaints about space. Patio space, hot tub and views....AMAZING!
It was a cold/rainy week and the heat went out, so we followed instructions on reporting the problem. The repair man came and fixed the problem.....until it went out again. Repair man called again and my husband contacted owner. The owner himself came to condo to check on issue. Heat was restored and the last day there was not ruined!
Although the weather and heat didn't cooperate, we had a fantastic family week at the beach! Look forward to next visit!
