Very good

The accommodation and scenery

The pay and collection of payment is ridiculous.. they charge the dollar much higher than the rate and refuse to accept the dollar, so you have to pay the fraudulent rate in cedis... this leaves a sore taste and ruins the whole experience

I’ll come to this hotel again and again.

Best western plus is very serene and beautiful. The hotel is very clean and staff are exceptionally kind.Amazing shower too.. the hot water was very comforting

we didn’t get to use the pool because the pool guy was still cleaning it around 10am. And there could be more variety at breakfast.

It was relaxing and enjoyable. Lovely staff all round.

Staff very helpful, breakfast was great and flexibility was high.

It was good - definitely could’ve been better.

Room was clean and spacious, food was good too.

no hot water in the shower - so forced to use cold water to shower, staff did not bother to give alternatives.

A very pleasant stay. The place is spotless and staff are first class.

The hotel is very clean! Breakfast was okay. We liked that the Chef made customised omelettes at our request. There was no fruit juice left in the dispensers when we arrived. Should have been restocked regularly. However I have no doubt that if we had asked they would have attended to it right away. The variety for breakfast was also good. It was tasty and filling. Staff were very attentive from the beginning right until the end of our stay. Very helpful and excellent service from all members of staff from the cleaner, to receptionist to waitresses in the restaurant. Love the fact that you can get a decent meal at practically any time of day! We had dinner after midnight! That was wonderful for us as we checked in after 10pm due to a late flight. 10/10 for hospitality!

The fact that there was no running hot water in our room. Didn't make a fuss as we only discovered it very early hours in the morning, however it would have been nice not to have to take a cold shower especially after travelling from a place where we are used to hot baths and showers no matter what the weather. The rooms could do with updating as they are a bit tired. Decor needs refreshing.

Not the best experience I wished for

Location

Room phones weren't working throughout my stay. There were mosquitoes in the room. Door lock was temperamental.I was locked out on two occasions and my partner was locked in as well..We had to call maintenance personnel to let us in.Their only explanation was that the door paint was causing it. Door was locked at 1100hrs with all my belongings inside, when check out time was supposed to be 1200hrs.Had to go to reception to get my pass key reactivated for the hours. Horribly bad experience .Staff and everything else wasn't a concern.

Great hotel but urgent renovation required, Try Best Western Premier in Accra Airport instead

I booked the classic triple room with king bed and sea view for two nights. Positives The staff are this hotel’s best assets. Francis, Janet, and Emmanuel at the front desk were simply marvellous. They were courteous, friendly, helpful, and professional. The furniture and furnishings were classy and in good state of repair The bed was comfortable and the linen clean. The bathroom was nice, it had a shower and a bath but nothing extra ordinary The split air condition worked fine, and I could not hear any noise from the external unit fitted to the balcony. The Integrated refrigerator worked fine and cooled my drinks and water, an essential in Ghana. The free-standing wardrobe was a good size, it contained a small safe which was very useful. The windows and double French doors were single glazed but blocked out all external noise including the sea waves. Breakfast was good but could have done with more variety, no brown bread was served. Housekeeping staff were good and hardworking, they were initially reluctant to break away from their routine to clean my room at my request but eventually they came over and did a fine job. The grounds are nicely landscaped, and the pool was clean It was refreshing to see hotel staff clean debris churned up by the sea daily

Negatives The hot water run out too quickly The door handles were old and hinges badly rusted because they are not marine grade as it should have been considering its proximity to the sea. The television was a good size but had limited channel’s On our first day we were served dinner without any cutlery, we waited almost 15 minutes for it by which time the food was cold. To date I can’t understand why we had to wait so long to have cutlery or why it was not made available before the food was served. Apencwi, the head of security picked a huge fight with me because apparently, I had driven in the wrong lane. He was petty, quarrelsome, and unprofessional. He behaved as if he had a grudge to settle with me, but I have never met the chap before then. He went out of his way to make me feel like a child and forgot that I was a guest whose patronage pays for his salary. Teacups in my room were not replaced after 24 hours, we had to wash them in the hand basin to reuse. The lovely double French doors leading to the balcony had nothing to wedge it open to enjoy the sea breeze. The left door opened fine, but the right door had badly rusted hinges which could not open, it almost came lose when I tried. The toilet had a hand basin but not hand towel and despite requesting for one we were not supplied with any. The mirror and window blinds in the toilet had rusted and were an eyesore. The metal screws holding the wooden banister in the balcony were badly rusted and this could affect the structural integrity in a couple of years. The plinth, toilet door, double French doors and windows were all very tired and need either a lick of paint to refresh them or replacement. The front door was temperamental and took several attempts to gain access to the room. The paint in the ceiling balcony was pealing onto the floor badly It would have been nice if my car was washed in the morning but l guess that was wishful thinking

Beautiful hotel. Amazing view of the ocean. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend this place for couples or families visiting Accra. Quite and serene environment.

The room service prices were not the ones advertised on the menu. You have to pay an extra fee just for room service. Not enough water pressure in the shower. But this can be an isolated event. The beach is rocky and the access to it is difficult but for good reason. However, there is a sandy beach near at walking distance.

facilities are well maintained although they look due for renovations

restaurant service was so poor that I waited an hour after order to be served and when I complained the food came half cooked. next day at breakfast I was the only guest being served and I was served cold food, when I returned the plate for warming, it took 20 minutes to get back and water for tea was warm (not hot) and when I requested for hot water it was not served to me in 15 minutes and I had to leave as I was getting late.

Couldn't have been more memorable but for the road and lack of DSTV service

Nice hotel on the outskirts of Accra

The hotel has a beach that is nice compared to other accra beaches and the hotel is on the eastern side of Accra convenient if heading east. Nice pool.

The location is quite far from most places in Accra and currently the costal road is being renewed meaning many detours towards the hotel. The service in the bar for food is slow.
