Very good

Very helpful staff! Allowed us to keep our things there all there and change after a hike with no charge. Help was given to organise camionetas etc. Good location

The location was good, the staff nice.

The mattress and the pillows were really uncomfortable so that we couldn't sleep.

Lovely hostel with great kitchen

Super place to stay with a nice well equipped big kitchen. We have nade good use of it, especially sincecthe market has liads of lovely produce.There are numerous sun terraces and a pretty courtyard. We love the location just a little away from the main centre and consequently quieter. The owners are delightful and have made us very welcome.

Plastic cover on mattress is not comfortable.

Excellent stay with super hosts.

My partner and I visited Otovalo to explore some of the natural beauty and check out the market on Saturday. Hostel Chasqui was overall one of our favourite hostels we stayed in whilst visiting Ecuador. The room was great, the view from the top of the hostel was amazing and the kitchen facilities were excellent. Most of all the owners were so friendly and accommodating, they couldn’t have done more for us and they really made our visit to Otovalo really memorable at the end of our holiday. Thanks so much, would definitely recommend.

Hostal has a nice terrace and well equipped kitchen. Room was clean with private bathroom. Towels provided. Walking distance to the main area. Good value compared to other hostals in Otavalo.

Superb

this was a great hostal! we only stayed for two nights but the bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve stayed in. the kitchen is large and nice. After a long day of hiking it was the perfect place to come back to for a warm meal and a cozy bed.

the water in the shower did not stay warm and got very cold very quickly

A great place to stay in otavalo

The staff were so friendly, helping us with taxis, market advise and more.vthe room was really comfortable and cosy. Clean and warm showers. Great location, just outside the main centre but easy walking distance. We had a great stay, highly recommend if going to otavalo for the market and other adventures

Comfy rooms with amazing terrace at a good location

The room was perfect and the bed super comfortable. There is a huge amazing terrace with views on the city, chairs to relx and a big shared kitchen where you meet other travellers. The rooms and common areas are well decorated and give a good atmosphere. Well located also.

Superb

Cozy yet spacious, nicely decorated room with a comfy bed. Large roof terrace with great views of Otavalo. Big kitchen with two ovens and good selection of pots, pans, cutlery and crockery. Thanks to the kitchen, it's a social place while also being quiet and calm. Hot water that's really hot when it eventually comes through. Good location within walking distance of the town centre, market and bus station.

Thin curtains that let a lot of light into the room.

The staff were so friendly and caring. The hostel has great kitchen to cook and store food.

There were not hot water very late at night, but the second day there were. The room is not very light and sound proof but that’s all the hostels…

Maybe a few rugs on the floor or something similar would make it more comfortable in the rooms.

Very chill hostel in Otavalo, nice paintings and great hosts

Great place with wonderful view on Otavalo. Nice host and very well equipped kitchen. 10 min walking from the center, very secured area.

The room is a little bit small, but nothing too bad

Nice and safe location, we did a very late check-in which was no problem.

The ladies were very nice, but the guy was a bit strange. I guess he just wanted to sell us his tours, when we asked for good viewpoints.

Gem of a place to stay in Otavalo!

We were welcomed by Rodrigo who is super helpful, he gave us great tips about what to do in the area and even gave us salt and avocados from their tree to help us with our cooking! The place is beautiful and has a big terrace with a great view over Otavalo. It has a big, well equipped and clean kitchen (which we used every day), clean and comfy rooms with Netflix on the TV and hot water. WiFi on all floors and worked really well too! 100% recommended - we actually wishes we could have stayed longer but our plans simply didn't allow it this time - hope to return one day!

Great value, close to city, great views

Host was very helpful and accommodating. Location is great. Room was tastefully decorated. Terrace has a great view of the city.

A floor mat by the shower would be appreciated.

Moderately sized rooms, value for money and great views from balconies and terrace area.

Fire alarm requiring battery replacement beeping all night but staff said it was normal!
