What a special place! We love being in the forest and Villa Umah Shanti is built on a hill so you look out onto flowering trees and the other side of a small river. It felt private and peaceful. The living room was a great place to gather for us - it has a fully stocked kitchen and big open walls that help you feel very connected to nature. We loved coming in for breakfast which was cooked for us and one afternoon we arranged massages there. The rooms were beautiful, clean and spacious. Budi, the manager, was so helpful in arranging meals, massages and when our car had issues he even booked someone to come in first thing in the morning to look at it. We loved our stay there.What a wonderful spot!
Budi might have been a bit overly attentive at times. He wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. I went with my two kids and initially was not aware that we would have separate "buildings" for our rooms. At first I wanted to be all together but it ended up being private and wonderful for all of us. There are lots of stairs, so if you have any issues make sure you know that you will need to navigate them. This was not a negative thing but it might be for someone who has issues with stairs. Overall, these are small things to an amazing weekend!

We stayed four unforgettable nights at the Villa Umah Shanti and we could not have asked for a better experience. The place is beautifully landscaped with gardens and flowering trees. The staff is excellent and prepared a tasty breakfast and helped us rent a car and order dinner on our first night. We took the 3BR option and had the whole place and especially the wonderful pool to ourselves. The place is close to rice fields outside the center of Ubud and you can take a Bluebird or GoCar taxi to get around. If this place is perfect for families, couples , or anyone like us looking to get away for a few nights.
Everything was great. The steps were fine for us and worth it for the unique place.

Menager, złota osoba. Pomagał we wszystkich sprawach. Obsługa miła i grzeczna. Obiekt czysty zadbany oraz bardzo ładnie położony.
Odległość od centrum. Trzeba mieć skuter ale obsługa hotelu załatwiła nam pojazd.
