About this apartment rental
The interior has been shaped by the expressive hip hop language of the façade, remnants of the existing brickwork, beehive patterned travertine floors and designer furniture selection.
The spacious 75 sqm one bedroom apartment on the ground floor of this building is available for rental.
Complete with a 1970's Bang & Olufson hi-fi system and record player, you can enjoy Melbourne from this inner city street art haven!
The Neighbourhood
Carlton is a suburb of Melbourne 2 km north from the central business district. Tram and bus stops are nearby and it is walking distance to most inner city destinations, including Melbourne University.
The suburb is well known for its "Little Italy" precinct on Lygon Street, for its Victorian architecture and its garden squares including the Carlton Gardens. It is situated nearby to Melbourne's many street art attractions as well as live music venues.
Located in the heart of Carlton on Rathdowne St, a bustling, lively thoroughfare, the apartment is directly opposite to the popular El Capitano restaurant and walking distance to shops, restaurants and Melbourne nightlife.
Other things to note
- Guests have access to entire ground floor apartment.
- The apartment comfortably suits two people. The TV lounge area can convert into second bedroom with sofa bed and privacy screen. Any additional adults after two people attracts the extra guest fee. (We do not charge this extra guest fee for a child, so please get in touch with us if the third person is a child.)
- Magnetic double glazed windows are installed to suit the heritage listed facade and dampen the urban sounds, though they will still be audible given our central location.
- There are 1 hour, 2 hour and 4 hour parking restrictions from Monday to Saturday in Carlton so parking can be difficult. Subject to availability, parking in a secure basement in the apartment block next door may be able to be arranged for an additional fee of $70 per week.
- The owners and architect of the Hive Graffiti Apartments live in the upstairs apartment and are more than happy to provide a tour of the building and talk about the design of the Hive or the End-to-End building. We occasionally host live music community events from the upstairs apartment or the garage to which tenants are always welcome to attend. The space is a fantastic fit for those who embrace a lively, creative atmosphere.

- No smoking inside, including in the entrance area.
- No events or parties allowed unless pre-arranged with owners beforehand. Guest numbers and noise limitations apply.
