First of all, I have to mention the incredible work Kanan does for his guests. He is a smart local who knows where to go and where not to go. He is trustworthy and very honest with his guests. Very lovely if you’re a young traveller in a strange country.
The houses itself are located perfectly to go surfing. The nice part of the Panama Rd is also on 5’ walk distance. The rooms are clean and well maintained.
The perfect place to stay for young people who value quality for a very fair price.

The property has a quiet, shady garden with mango trees and is very well maintained. It’s a 5 min walk to the beach and you can do it barefoot because the road is very clean too. Even though it’s close to the beach it is quiet, so you don’t hear the party noise at night. The room had a big patio where I could put my surf boards and enjoy breakfast outside every morning. It felt very safe and clean!

Die Lage war für Arugam Bay perfekt und zu Fuß kann man alles leicht erreichen.
Strand, Frühstücks/ Brunchmöglichkeiten oder zur Hauptstraße sind es nur ein paar Minuten.
Weiters konnten wir über den Gastgeber kurzfristig eine private Surfstunde und Safari organisieren lassen.
Die Lautstärke die gerade in der Früh rund um die Unterkunft herrscht war leider extrem. Die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig und so bekommt man den Morgenverkehr oder die Tierwelt nahezu ungefiltert als kostenlosen Wecker.
Weiters ist der Preis im Vergleich zu ähnlichen Unterkünften zu hoch. Wird die Lage gelobt, muss man ehrlicherweise dazu sagen, dass es kaum einen Unterschied macht wenn man ein paar Schritte mehr geht und so die Hälfte für das Zimmer zahlt. Handtücher sind Mangelware und auch auf Nachfrage wurde das Zimmer nicht gereinigt oder das Bett neu überzogen.
