Excellent hostel for a brief stay on Rishiri Island.

They had a free shuttle from the ferry or to the trailhead. They had bike rental, and a large kitchen. Most of the staff were nice. The lounge area was comfortable. It was a convenient location for the grocery store. The whole hostel was clean and quiet, and the atmosphere was relaxed.

Our room smelled of sewage or bad water drainage. Even though the room was spotless, it had an icky smell. We had to keep the windows open, but sometimes it was too windy to do that.

Strongly recommended to watch the sun set and the night sky at the Yuhigaoka Observation Deck.

There is shuttle service between ferry terminal and the hostel:D. They can even give you a ride the the Mt. Rishifuji starting point.

The temperature now is a bit too hot and there is only on fan in the shared-room

A homestay like accomodation

It feels like you are in a home stay than a hostel. The accomodation is very comfortable and clean. They pick you from the ferry terminal or airport. It is walking distance to the ferry terminal if you don't mind walking and right next to the Yuhigaoka observatory. Nice ,cozy lounge .

I visited in the summer and it can be too hot to sleep at night even with the windows open and fan running. I don't think they have a control of the weather and temperature though.

Shuttle to ferry and trailhead. Right next to grocery store Had e-bikes with comfortable seat

Wind blew screen open constantly making us to decide if we wanted breeze and bugs or neither. The room smelled unpleasant though this may have been due to construction in neighboring lot.

Good place, helpful staff, with good value for money.

Great staff, value for money, clean place, good sleep if not because of one guy in the same dorm that was snoring. But overall is great. Woild stay again.

The snoring guys in the same room. But it's not the guest house's fault.

Excellent guesthouse

Great place to stay and go out for sightseeing such as bicycle tours and mountain hike. Very helpful staff with an outstanding friendly attitude! Free breakfast and all facilities you need for a good stay. Thank you!

Pick up at airport. Drop off at foothill of Rishiri mountsin and at ferry port. Dining room and kitchen, hot shower available. Good location by the sea for cycling, mountain, onsen.

it was really wonderful staying here. I would come back any day! The Inn has a very warm and cozy atmosphere and the staff is very friendly. The facilities in the shared kitchen are nice and clean. the bike I rented was in mint condition and it’s really nice that they take you to the trailhead if you want to climb the volcanoe!

It was quite hot in the room even at night. I guess this is due to climate change as we didn’t expect this north of Hokkaido.

Nice hostel for backpackers looking for hiking and cycling around rishiri

Location is nice at the edge of port area close to small hill from where sunrise and sunset can be enjoyed.

All of the staff and fellow guests were very cheerful and considerate!

The location was very dramatic, although a scenic walk from the center. Breakfast was not included in the plan.

I neglected to bring towels to dry off after using the shared shower facilities. However, this was my own fault!

Good option for a stay on the island!

Good facilities, pick up from the ferry, options to be driven to places on the island at specific times, convenience store close-by, nice atmosphere and many other people to engage with, good kitchen

Not too comfortable, no aircon, check-in not very personal or English-friendly, relied on a nice bilingual traveller who translated for me but still a good choice!

The perfect place to ‘chill’

I have stayed at many hostels in recent years, and this one is the BEST. This was my second stay and was even better than last year. The staff is friendly and helpful, assisting me with my bicycle issues. The shower area is brand new and modern. The other guests are respectful and friendly. And Rishiri is just so fun for the outdoorsman. You should come and stay for a week!!

ANA Airlines is the only airline that comes to Rishiri and they will gouge you BIG time if you want to change your flight. I suggest coming and going by ferry.

Exceptional

I spent 2 nights in the dormitory room and I have absolutely nothing to complain about! Everything is clean; the bed is comfortable and the view beautiful! I appreciated the transfer to the starting of Mount Rishiri trail and I also could rent a bicycle and enjoy some cycling roads of the island. The hosts are very nice; everything was perfect, thank you!
