PH93 Amsterdam Central

This mid-range, second-floor apartment room, located next to a lively and beautiful canal near the central train station, was an absolute delight. It is close to all public transport, restaurants, and tourist sites. Self check-in via lock passcodes is simple and efficient, and host met me for early check-in with luggage storage available. The well-maintained, modern room is small, but large enough to lay out luggage without tripping over things. There was a hanger area for clothes, a small toiletry space near the sink, and a desk table to set up a charging station. Plenty of accessible electrical outlets and USB-A/C ports for charging devices. Small, modern bathroom was clean with strong water pressure and consistent hot water and plush towels. Wi-Fi was exceptionally fast and consistent enabling easy upload of pictures and video chat. The bed with duvet and large pillows was comfortable, and I could crack the window to let cool air in or use the fan for a great night’s sleep. Plenty of little extras provided, including mini-fridge, espresso machine, and even laundry service. Breakfast choices abound at local restaurants although I recommend Omelegg City Center for early breakfast. Communication was proactive and responsive, and host was available to provide info or even items I forgot to pack.

Did not affect me, but stairs are ladder-steep – be prepared! Although great for a single traveler, it would have been close quarters with a partner. There is a restaurant directly below with an outside cafe that is bustling until late, and people congregate here until midnight making noise.

The location was great for our stay in Amsterdam. Our host, Henry was wonderful…he even helped us with our luggage.
