A self - contained studio apartment just for two nestled within our established garden in the historic village of Millthorpe and walking distance to all this beautiful village has to offer. You enter through the front garden gate and open french doors into an open plan living area with a leather three seater lounge,TV,DVD and stereo with Bluetooth as well as free wifi. There is a kitchenette with microwave , fridge, kettle, toaster & coffee pod machine. The bedroom has a luxurious queen size bed with crisp pure linen sheets & duvet cover along with wool throws. A separate bathroom with shower and guest toiletries along with luxe bath towels. Private verandah to sit & enjoy a wine and a rear courtyard with stone walls looking onto a gorgeous established garden. The Speckled Nest is superbly styled to make your stay extra memorable and is non smoking within the studio. Local wine to welcome you on your arrival plus a few little surprises to enjoy. We absolutely loves Speckled Nest...everything was just perfect. Millthorpe won us over too. The only improvement (although we didn't need it in the September heat wave) would be a slow combustion for chilly winter days

Overall this property suits our needs for short term stays. Its our second stay. Our only concern is that it gets little sunlight inside and the interior lighting is not adequate.

Beautiful little cottage in a great street in Millthorpe (far and away the pick of the little country towns in this part of NSW), just around the corner from the cafes and shops.
Perfectly clean and well equipped, with a lovely little garden out the back to enjoy the fresh country air.
Easy to find the place and get in, with very helpful communication from Paul before and during the stay.
Would definitely come again when exploring this part of NSW - highly recommended!

Speckled Nest is in a beautiful location, very handy to everything in Millthorpe and Orange. Delightful decor, linen sheets, etc, so awesome and bed the most comfortable I have ever slept on. Perfect for a couple. I would rate this studio 11 out of 10.

Millthorpe is a great place - both to stay and use as a base for exploring - and I can't imagine a better home to stay in the town than the Speckled Nest.

Lovely studio in Millthorpe
The property was amazing, and very well located for exploring the shops and sights of Millthorpe. Paul and Anita were amazing hosts, and the added extras (like the welcome bottle of wine and the chocolates) were an awesome added touch. I would definitely stay here again!

What a delightful stay in The Speckled Nest. It's a beautifully decorated, atmospheric studio with all the comforts you could need including a very comfortable bed. The location in Millthorpe is very psaceful and is perfect for a short stroll to the little village shops and eateries.
