Located in South Forest Beach, this attractive condo for $280 per night is a great option for your next break. The villas at Ocean Dunes are professionally managed by Vacation Time of Hilton Head and are best rented directly through our website. This one bedroom villa has a full kitchen, combined living room dining room area and separate bedroom with a queen sized bed and one bathroom. This unit also has a queen sized sofa sleeper in the living room with a new memory gel foam mattress. The balcony off the living room area provides a direct view of the ocean. Each unit in Ocean Dunes has wireless internet service. The Ocean Dunes, oceanfront pool is now a heated pool which will be open seven days a week all year long. The temperature will be set to 82 degrees which is the industry standard. The pool hours are from 9AM till sunset. The Ocean Dunes Complex is an oceanfront property approximately 70 yards from the beach on South Forest Beach Drive and just a short distance from Coligny Plaza and the Coligny Beach Park. Guests have access to the Hilton's Oceanside Bar and Grill and Starbucks. **Weekly rentals only Saturday to Saturday in the summer months and a 3 night minimum in the off season months** **Call for rates & availability, some restrictions may apply**

Pros are the gorgeous view from balcony. You can't beat the view. It is also in a great location. Close to everything. Beach access is great. Good rinse off area. I rarely, if ever heard any nbors through the walls. I felt safe in this facility with just me and 2 children. Cons are it wasn't cleaned well. Crumbs still on counter, furniture ledges amd counter ledges were full of crumbs and/ or sand and dust. Mirrors were spattered with water drip marks, the hall mirror so full of dried drip marks. Front door needs to be wiped down. I brought my keurig as I noticed they didn't have one, but I think they should have one as standard. Was not a single trash liner in kitchen trash, most places start you with one so I used grocery bags throughout my stay for trash. The hideabed was stiff to open up, struggled a little bit. Once I got it open, we left it open bc it was too difficult to do, so our already small living room became microsized with the bed open the whole time. It is a tiny condo even with just me and 2 elementary aged kids. Lastly, the check-in and checkout process is antiquated with having to drive to the office and pickup, or drop-off keys. Pool was closed for unknown reason half a day. All the cons were minor issues in the grand scheme of things and could be easily fixed by manager/owner. It was a wonderful vacation on the beach.

Property was very nice, except for dip in balcony floor. Had everything we needed. Wish there were more ADA units available. Bathroom at beach has no railing to hold onto to go down or come up out of "hole it is in. However, the bath at the beach is great to have. Unit was nicely appointed and clean. Great service from manager. We went to all our favorite restaurants and shopped at outlets.

We had a wonderful time in Hilton Head at Ocean Dunes Villa 308. The property is a 15-minute walk (by beach or sidewalk) to the Coligny Plaza for groceries, restaurants, gifts etc. The property is right on the beach, and this unit had a beautiful view of the ocean. The pool was a nice temperature. The unit itself had adequate facilities. Some repairs and updating are needed, but nothing that diminished our enjoyment of our holiday.

This area is fantastic,management was great as always,we have stayed in this unit before and was very impressed,not this time,furniture needs upgraded,bed was wore out bathroom needed a deep cleaning utensils,cofee maker,toaster,and pans were very dated,like they must have came from Goodwill,towels we pretty much wore out my wife slept on the sofa because the master bedroom mattress was wore out,I realize that covid has been very hard on everybody,but thats the cost of doing business,we have been here several times before and plan to return,just not this unit again unless they upgrade,it was also one of the pricier units and normally was worth it,but things have changed i would not recommend.Sorry...

My stay was OK, but I won't rent this unit again. That said, it could work for others. PROS - Location & view! Close to shops & restaurants, easy boardwalk stroll to the beach, pretty pool, and amazing views. The shower is large and has good water pressure. The bedroom mattress was reasonably comfy, maybe a medium firmness. The half-moon counter worked great as a dining area. I didn't see any bugs in the unit. There is no washer/dryer in the unit, but there are washer/dryers on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors. Vacation Time left of a lot of bath towels, which was handy. Check-in & out went smoothly and Vacation Time personnel were friendly. Plenty of parking.
CONS - This building does not have central AC; instead, there is a wall-unit in the bedroom and in the living area. They both worked OK to keep the space cool, but the bedroom AC stayed on constantly to keep the room at around 73 degrees. It was loud and bothered my allergies, so I slept in the living area. The living area AC didn't bother me, but the pull-out couch wasn't comfy, despite the new-ish memory foam mattress. My back started to hurt after a few days. There is no vent fan in the bathroom, so taking a hot shower (even with the door open) makes the unit humid. There is a ceiling fan in the bathroom, but it needs to be replaced; it was starting to peel. The appliances in the kitchen worked, but the refrigerator didn't work as well as it should (my ice cream was more like soft serve, and I did check to make sure it was on the coldest setting.) The balcony has good space, but for some reason it is sloped a bit. It has an outdoor carpet, so I couldn't see what was causing this. I found this a bit concerning, but I didn't feel it moving, so I sat out there. I think they did a reasonable job cleaning between tenants, but it looks like this unit hasn't been deep cleaned in a while. There is a physical key to get into the unit, but then there is no additional deadbolt lock inside that isn't controlled by the key. There also isn't a peephole. Regarding the pool, I did notice it being cleaned routinely. However, my husband noticed a crack near the top of the pool that was wide enough where he could see the palm tree roots, and water was getting in the crack.

Jimmy at Vacation Time was awesome to work with. Next time we have trouble getting in at Grande Ocean we will come to Ocean Dunes.

Property was Average at Best
The Ocean Dunes property was older; clean, but "rickety." The outdoor photos of the property are misleading w regard to the pool, which was the small one on the left. Never once did we see it get maintained. The bed was atrocious. I would not stay here in the future.

Great week
Great location- felt super safe for distancing. Only real complaint was it didn’t feel really super clean. I brought stuff to clean with (due to the virus) but wish the floors and bath were cleaner. Trash is kind of a haul but we’d just throw it when we left the property

We have been coming to this sight for over 30 years. The office staff is alway friendly. They are very helpful. We had a great time. The condo wasn’t as clean as usual. I went to plug up my phone and there were chip crumbs and a lot of dust behind couch. The shelf was falling down n bathroom and the fan was covered n dust. The shower wasn’t very clean. We were very disappointed this time n the cleaning.

WE HAVE STAYED IN THIS UNIT 4 TIMES NOW. IT IS GETTING A LITTLE WORN. THE THROW RUGS NEED CLEANED OR REPLACED IN BEDROOM. THE BEDSPREAD AND PILLOW COVERS WERE DIRTY. I TOOK OFF BED WHEN I ARRIVED! LOVE the location of this unit. We've been able to rent this particular unit for several years now. The people in the office are so kind to us. We do feel it's time for a little remodeling (chair arms of a particular chair are very worn, area rugs, blinds in the bedroom, light bulbs need replacing here and there). The office staff/maintenance staff was so helpful replacing several things for us while we were there. Our only real complaint is the cleaning done before we arrive (or lack thereof). There is dust that probably hasn't been touched in months especially under the bed and chairs. There ceiling fan blades needed to be cleaned as well as the hanging beach frame pictures on the walls in the bathroom and living room.

We've been staying at Ocean Dunes for many visits. We had WOD308 this stay. Very nice accommodations. We especially enjoyed the bigger kitchen. Great idea by owners to eliminate the bunk beds. I think a few things need some attention. Both lamps next to the couch were ready to fall apart. The screen on the sliding door to the balcony is broken and needs to be replaced. We were also surprised that the place needed some cleaning. Surfaces were clean, but everything else had a thick layer of dust. Needed a good cleaning. The balcony was covered with pine needles and dirt. We had to clean it before using the table and chairs. Small items that can be easily fixed. Overall, a great week.
