We loved our 6 night stay in this very well appointed and located Apartment- right in the midst of the old town sector of beautiful Bonifacio. The Apartment was very clean and equipped with everything you could ever need on holiday including if you choose catering in on occasions- although the extent and array of cute bars and restaurants all around you makes eating out very desirable. Communications with the owner Germaine were excellent, she was always super helpful with advice ( good restaurants and best beaches etc ) and arrival instructions were clear as it is always a bit daunting to arrive in a little hill top town by car so this de-stressed the arrival procedure. We were met by Stephanie the owners local contact person ( who works just below the Apartment so was nice to know that local advice was handy if needed ) who settled us in - with the help of Goggle Translate as we have no French but all went fine albeit a few laughs as we sorted the finer points with the assistance of Translate ! We are a 65 year old couple in reasonable shape for age and it was a bit of a puff for 30 seconds while we got our suitcases up the very steep internal stairs from the street to the apartment door. We always took extra care going up and down the stairs as they are steep and fairly unforgiving if you missed your footing. If you were older and/or had mobility issues I would suggest you might struggle. Once installed you will find the interior of the Apartment to be very tasteful.

Its location in the heart of the old city of Bonifacio provides a genuine flavour of traditional Corsican living, but with all the advantages of modern life. It is extremely well equipped, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Germaine responded to any query very quickly and was warm and welcoming to us. There is some street noise, but honestly, we felt it added to the holiday atmosphere! (Also, it finished at 11 o' clock. ) I'd happily recommend this apartment and its lovely surroundings.

Third stay because we love it!
This our third stay at Germaine’s unique and authentic apartment in the heart of Bonifacio. If you want to have an experience like a local, this is the place for you. Germaine is very responsive and flexible with any requests. The apartment has lots of old world charm but the convenience of a well equipped modern kitchen, air conditioning and a large living area for comfortably hanging out with friends or family. We will be back again!

Nous sommes une Famille de 5 ,très bien adapté et tout ce qu’il faut sur place, le plus petit ( 3 ans) a bien gérées escaliers.

L’emplacement est parfait, Les contacts avec la propriétaire et la personne sur place absolument excellents, la location est impeccable, il y a bien plus que ce à quoi on peut rêver . On a envie de penser qu’on veut y revenir tellement nous étions idéalement placés pour profiter de ce sublime Bonifacio! C’est un endroit enchanteresque , surtout quand on le découvre de l’intérieur , c’est à dire: de la citadelle elle-meme.

Bonifacio is a gem of a place, with the upper town being surrounded by thick walls., and narrow alleyways full of restaurants and shops. Tourists flock to the city, most of them by car, which is something that needs to be considered when making plans to arrive. During the middle of the day parking is at a premium. to say the least. The unit owner provides a parking pass, but you need to meet her, or her rep, in order to get the pass. My advice, avoid trying to drive into the upper ville until around 6 pm, at which time it is easier to get a spot in one of the lots reserved for the locals (for which you will have a pass). From our experience you want to avoid driving into Bonifacio between 10 am and noon, traffic was backed up forever.
After dinner the tourists clear out and most of the other visitors return to their mega yachts in the harbor below, leaving you virtually alone in the town.
The unit itself is large and clean, with a full kitchen, modern bath with shower and washing machine, and comfortable living room. The steps up from the street to unit, on the second floor, are somewhat steep, but we managed. Pack light. The AC units worked well during our stay.
We were very happy with this choice and I have a hard time imagining a better location in Bonifacio.

Tolle Tage in Bonifacio
Der check in gestaltete sich schwierig, da wir die Telefonnummer der verantwortlichen Dame in Bonifacio nicht erhalten hatten. Als wir schließlich in die Wohnung kamen war der Ärger schnell vergessen. Die Wohnung ist von der Lage, Ausstattung, Sauberkeit wirklich erstklassig. Wir hatten wunderbare Tage in Bonifacio.

This property is significantly more fabulous than the photos demonstrate! Lovely lay out, well-equipped kitchen, fantastic location, comfortable living and bedroom. The second bedroom is small but my kids slept on the foldout couch quite happily. Right out your door are restaurants, boulangeries, grocery stores and gelato. Wonderful!

Oasis
Well equipped and authentic tucked away in a bizzy town. The best way to get the most out of those beautifull, but Oh so crowded places, is to be in an apartment right in the middle of it. This is one. Early in the morning when there are no tourists, you enjoy a quiet Bonifacio and drink a coffee at the bar which is 30 metres from your doorstep. Need a swim? Just walk out of the citadel gates and down the stairs. Below the cliffs you find a small stroke of pebble beach. In the harbour some splendid yachts are on view.
The apartment is an oasis where you can escape the hot weather (airco in all rooms). It is well equiped and decorated with a personal touch. There is small Super market nearby, so you can make yourself a decent meal. Restaurants are literally a stone throw away. Warmly recommended. Parking is best done at P3. The host provides you a free pass.

Spotless home from home
I can't wait to return! The apartment was perfect for our group of 3 adults and 2 small children. We had everything we needed in this home from home. It was absolutely spotless which is very important for me! Brilliantly located right in the heart of the old town, just a short walk in any direction from amazing views and all the shops and restaurants.
Jeanette the caretaker was very sweet, kind and crucially very efficient!
Points to note are - you need to park outside the old town and wheel your luggage uphill to the apartment (anywhere in the old town must be the same)
The stairs are steep, as is the norm in Bonifacio.
The second bedroom is very small, without a window (but double doors to the living area which has floor to ceiling french doors, so it doesn't feel claustrophobic.
But none of the above detracted from a lovely stay.

Living in this well appointed apartment gave us the opportunity to feel like we were part of the fabric of Bonifacio - so much more rewarding than a hotel. Also, staying in the old city means you have the opportunity to enjoy Bonifacio before the mid morning tourist rush. All of the locals made us feel welcome and Germaine was a great host who contacted the local dentist to assist with an unexpected dental problem. A great place to base yourself if you want to go for walks along the coast and to the local beaches. We travelled without a car and found that local transport options in and out of Bonifacio were reliable and easy to navigate. A great surprise for us is that we happened to be in Bonafacio for the feast of St Roch and were able to appreciate the local procession and singing from the apartment's balcony. All in all a great place to stay!

perfect place in bonifacio
my husband and I stayed in this apartment in early July this year. The apartment is fabulous and was extremely comfortable. It has every amenity you would ever need on holiday. Its location was excellent and we would not have wanted to be anywhere else in Bonifacio. The surrounding restaurants, shops and cafes were fantastic and the whole town of Bonifacio is amazing. Don't forget to go to Ils Lavezzi - it's an absolute "must". We spent 3 months in Europe this year and this was one of our favourite places. Highly recommended.

"We had a great week beg Apr08 with our two small boys (3month & 18month).
The apartment was beautifully decorated and really made us feel at home, fantastic job. It was fully equipped, we could have turned up empty-handed and would have had everything that we needed.
If we must find downsides, the only things to mention would be;
1) Quite a few steep steps (same for any non-ground floor apartments in Bonifacio) which proved a little tricky with small children and a pushchair (note: this certainly was not a showstopper!)...
2) Satalite only had 5 working channels, shame as this was Daddy's main reason for the visit :-)...
Another point to menion was the Parking, about 5 mins walk away (or 15 if our eldest boy led the way). The apartment was really central whilst keeping a couple of small streets away to maintain the peace.
Overall, we had a super week and thoroughly recommend this apartment. Thx again to the owner and the person who greeted us. Both are very nice people, very organised and a pleasure to do business with :-).
