Filipa’s apartment was a perfect home base for exploring the Alfama and Chiado neighborhoods of Lisboa on foot. Plenty of restaurants and coffee shops close by as well as a well stocked grocery store. Filipa was a welcoming and responsive host.

For a couple or solo traveler this is a perfect apartment. The flat was well appointed, accessible and clean. And as an older traveler I appreciated the elevator after climbing the hills of Lisbon. The location couldn't be better to reach all of the major attractions of the city, restaurants and grocery store. Everything is just steps away. Don't miss the Pollux department store which has a spectacular rooftop restaurant with views of the city. Filipa was an excellent hostess. I would definitely stay here again!

We were delighted to find our gorgeous apartment was even nicer than the photos, and just the right size for a stay for two people. A really well equipped kitchen and comfortable bed . Right in the middle of all the action, so really close to a lot of the attractions, but far enough away to avoid the tourist bustle. Filipa was such a beautiful host and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable - including a long wait for our late arrival. It was the most wonderful introduction to our trip to Portugal, and I would recommend it highly for anyone looking for a cosy hideaway in Lisboa’s historical neighbourhood.

After getting our bearings, and learning how to get to the Metro, train, and tram stations from the apartment, we realized what a gem this apartment was. The stairwell down to restaurant/shopping district, Santa Justa elevator, and Rossio square right next to the door, and the tram 28 stop (Martim Moniz) a few blocks down the street. We saw everything we wanted to and then some, all accessed by public transportation (even Azenhas do Mar by train to Sintra and 1 bus). Do not get advanced tickets to Peña Palace, but get there early- we saw plenty of unhappy tourists not getting entry after paying for tickets, the entry gives you a half hour window to get to the entrance which is a good 20 minute walk uphill, and if you miss it too bad for you. You also have to by a 12.50 Euro for 24 hr bus pass to get to Pena Palace and other castles (stop at Moorish castle before Peña Palace- you have to go back down the hill to catch the other bus to Quinta da Regaleira which you can use the 24hr bus pass you paid for. We used mostly Green and Blue metro lines, and the train from either Rossio or Cais do Sodre- please research how to get to the places you want to see on public transportation, you do NOT want to drive in Lisbon. Don’t be dumb and wear heels, wear good quality athletic shoes. Hostess Filipa was helpful with restaurant recommendations, greeting us with pasteis de nata, and recommending using Uber app for airport transfer, and Pingo Doce a grocery for quick breakfast and beer.

Filipa met us when we arrived. She had sent us very helpful instructions on getting a taxi from the airport, and greeted us with delicious Portuguese custard tarts. She showed us how all the appliances worked, gave us a map, explained how the Metro works, and gave us restaurant recommendations. When we left she arranged a taxi for us back to the airport. We couldn't have asked for a better host.
The apartment is very well-equipped, and well maintained. It has everything you need, and is located within walking distance of supermarket, shops, Metro, great restaurants and the river. We will definitely recommend to friends visiting Lisbon.

This apartment is in an excellent location for visiting all of Lisbon. It is walkable to Baxia and Alfama neighborhoods. It is near the Rossio train and Metro stations.The apartment is small but efficient. We were happy to have a washing machine right in the apartment. The apartment is quiet even though it's in a busy area, the windows are good and we slept well each night. Filipa was an excellent host who greeted us at the apartment and made us feel very welcome and gave good recommendations for things to do and places to eat in the area.

The flat is compact but well designed and in a great location within easy walks to metro and sights. We were there 4 nights and found laundromat, massage studio and wine shop within a few blocks. Met with pasteis and lots of info. Would stay again!

This is the perfect place to stay for a single or couple looking to stay in the heart of Lisbon. The apt. Is spotless and has everything you need to make this your home while visiting this beautiful city. It is within walking distance to many attractions and restaurants, and also within minutes of the metro, busses and trams to make getting around a breeze. The icing on the cake and best part is Filipa who will answer all of your questions and give helpful information on anything that you need to know about Lisbon. Highly recommend staying here on your trip to Lisbon.

Filipa is best host. Friendly, hospitable, helpful! The apartment is equipped in all aspects, everything we needed was there. What we used, we replaced. Location is great. Very much recommend taking the stairs next to the entrance door up the hill and explore. Easy to explore all parts of Lisbon. Will stay here when we visit Lisbon again. I read a lot of the reviews RE this listing prior to booking. It is hard to comprehend why someone would give a less than 5 star rating - something out of the ordinary must have happened, which I’m confident Filipa would have resolved promptly, or the reviewer is hard to satisfy. For us, the apartment was perfect (we’re 69 and 68 years old). The elevator and laundry were given much weight in our decision. The apartment was precisely as advertised. The flat was cute, efficient, and clean - equipped with everything we needed. Filipa was fantastic - met us upon arrival and oriented us and gave some recommendations for things to do and for restaurants. We had a lovely stay!

Property is located near the base of the hill that has the castle at it’s peak. Near lots of restaurants and within walking to recommended sights. Transit is close. Manager was delightful, was very communicative and had lots of recommendations for local restaurants off the tourist path. We’d book there again.

We found the apartment a bit small for a 6 day stay, but we were out for most of the day so it worked out for us. The location is close to everything in the Baixa-Chiado area which has lots to see and do. Fillipe, the host, was very nice and spent time with us upon arrival, explaining to us where to get groceries and what restaurants in the area were good and reasonably priced. She also responded quickly to our questions which we so appreciated. Overall we were satisfied with the place. LB

We've stayed there for one week and can recommend this apartment. It is small but charming! Lots of kitchen stuff and utensils (were missing kettle though...). It's on the third flor with an elevator. Close to everything, supermarket is just around the corner. Great communication with the host Filipa ! She is great and gave us a lot of useful information. Apartment is close to Rossio square, Baixa/Chiado - lift, castle on the hill. Would definitely recommend !

This apartment was everything (and more) that we expected! It’s situated in a great location, efficiently laid-out, comfortably furnished, and very well managed. Filipa is just awesome! She met us at the apartment upon arrival and walked us through the property showing us where things we mind need during our stay are kept. She even provided maps of Lisboa for us to use during our stay that included highlights of must-see locations, how to easily navigate public transportation and notations of her personal favorite places of interest. Her hospitality was outstanding! We will absolutely return to this property on future visits to Lisboa!

We loved our stay. Filipa is extremely attentive and very kind. Responded to emails immediately. This apartment is a gem. Excellent location, clean, comfortable. If I had any negative, it would be that the sofa is small and not that comfortable. Would have liked one English channel for news but really not a big deal. Recommend this place. My son and myself stayed here for 5 nights over New Year. Very useful information given by our host who always responded very quickly. Excellent location for us. We had 2 heaters which we needed as it was quite cold at times. Lift to get to our 3rd floor, always came instantly.
We used the sofa bed which was comfortable but it did make it awkward for the person in the bedroom to pass through to the kitchen area or bathroom but this was infrequent during the times the bed was made up. Ideal for two people who don’t want to share the double.
Kitchen area well stocked with implements etc, also a selection of tea bags, spices and oils.
Shampoo, cleaning materials also provided.
Would use this apartment again.

The apartment is small but equipped with everything you might need to cook or to heat food. The location is perfect too with almost all the sights of Lisbon an easy walking distance. Filipa is a great host and communicates quickly. Despite our late flight at 11 pm, she waited to greet us with Portuguese custard tarts and a warmth that we loved. She gave us great tips on restaurants, shopping for groceries and more. And she went out of her way to find out about places that were open on the 24th and 25th of December. It is the first time in a long while where I actually met a real host who was caring and enthusiastic about her city. Hope to return back to Lisbon and use Filipa's place again.

Filipa met us at the apartment with a Portuguese famous sweet tart for each of us. She also gave us great restaurant and other recommendations and was very responsive before and during our stay. The owner was very nice and useful with restaurants addresses and suggestions of places to visit. Everything we needed was available in the apartment(washing machine, refrigerator, ironing board....) but nightstands with drawers would have been useful. A bit noisy but downtown.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Filipa's place in the Baixa. We loved having such a functional space (kitchen, two places to sleep, etc) while still being within a fun, vibrant neighborhood. Filipa was an excellent host- great communication, check-in and check-out. Internet was good (a little tough for two people working from the apartment but great if you needed less than that) and one thing to keep in mind is that apartments in that part of Lisbon are not allowed to have A/C so it can get a little warm but opening the windows can help. Great place, great host, great stay!

Wonderful apartment for a stay in the heart of Lisbon!
The host, Filipa, was fantastic! She spent plenty of time orienting us with the apartment, the building and the area. The apartment was very clean and well-stocked with everything you would need for a stay. We were there 5 days and saw a lot of sites and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Lisbon. We will definitely be back and wouldn’t hesitate for a minute to rent from Filipa again

The host should be considered a super host as she was! Apt very clean. Would recommend a plastic pad for the end of the bed so the top cover does not get soiled with suitcases. No other suggestions. Great it was across the street from a laundromat as well.
