Beautiful location and very relaxing highly recommend

Relaxing location loved the hot tub nice views the rivers are right there very nice to listen to even when sleeping and I liked the breakfast great to have fresh eggs.

I forgot to ask for more toilet paper but it’s not a biggy and I was glad I had plenty of extra time in the hot tub but I didn’t realise it was going to be shared with the room next to me but I loved it and I didn’t want to be hot tub for more than a hour anyway.

Just the break we needed.

Loved the spa after skiing and mountain bike riding. Also good walk to restaurants in the evening and great breakfast and snacks.

outstanding, and elegant haven, nestled in nature

We wanted something off the beaten track, and love that two rivers intersect, on the property. Views of the country, not impeded by suburbia, hot tub outside, facing beautiful hills/countryside. Chris has gone to a lot of trouble to create very elegant accommodations, with all modern conveniences. He is receptive to feedback, and is dedicated to an exceptional experience for his guests. Really outstanding. He even gave me a bottle of wine, as it was my birthday, and so many special treats in the fridge and room.

Exceptional

Great place to stay, just a short walk to town. Nice view from the cabin and jakuzzi. Very comfy bed. Great service and host was very friendly and helped us few times with additional requests.

For some people noise from river can be a bit too loud, but was not bothering us at all.

Amazing experience

Amazing location and the room was fantastic. Clean, cosy and everything you could need was supplied. Chris was an awesome host and we will definitely be back in summer.

Tranquil two rivers

Very friendly and informative host. The location is superb. Very private and peaceful listening to the sound of the river

A very minor thing is the toilet roll holder being behind you. Maybe it could go on the wall in front?

Amazing stay - so glad we stopped in Ohakune and picked this stunning property

Beautiful, comfortable property - everything has been thought of. Loved the setting with the river flowing outside, sitting in the spa enjoying the view was a great way to end the day. The room was a good size, new and spotless. Hosts were super helpful and have thought of all the little details that make a stay extra special.

Lovely location. No disturbance from the two rivers. 15 minutes easy walk to “town”. Really nice room - very clean, tidy and very well kitted out. Hot tub was nice. Breakfast was super. Host friendly and helpful. Great shower. All in all very good and recommended. Maybe provide some fruit juice with the breakfast ??

Very pleasant and confortable stay

Confortable and spotless room, great shower and view on the garden and little stream. The jacuzzi after a long day hiking is a must. Good breakfast that you manage on your own. Lovely owners.

Maybe a wifi a tiny bit faster ? Otherwise it was great.

A great stay

The location of this stay was great, easy access to lots of activities nearby; we took advantage of the local mountain biking hire and completed the Old Coach Road track. Our room had everything we needed, even a hot tub which was very welcome after our bike ride! The view is amazing, with the river running just outside the property and the mountain in the background.

I love the location, the view, the sounds of the river, the restaurant choices in town, the hot tub, and the breakfast provided.

Superb

Nice quiet spot with the soothing sound of the river nearby. Breakfast provisions are great, and spa was a nice feature.

A little hard to find. Room slightly small but more than adequate for a short stay.

If it weren't for the noisy neighbours, this probably would have been the best stay of my holiday.

A beautiful location, next to 2 rivers merging with a view on 'Mount Doom' (if the weather allows it). The room had all comfort (good wifi, good tv with netflix available, good bed, good shower) and the host was very helpful and friendly.

Breakfast was a bit dissapointing (a basket with some bread, marmelade and boiled eggs that was put in the room-fridge upon arrival) but the biggest dissapointment was the noise of the other guests. I could hear every step they made and hear them talking and laughing through the walls. The rooms in this guesthouse are a 'part of the house' of the host, and it's quite obvious that they don't have the noise-reducing capacity of a regular hotel.

All necessaties there, a bit crowed for two. The weather was bad so we had to stay in the room. But it was very clean and the whirlpool was great.
