About this apartment rental
This house, called u'carvutt in dialect that means the small hole, is called this because it is the small house of the rock crab, or the crab's home. It is located in the most famous fjord of the famous Polignano cliff or on the Grotta Palazzese. From its balcony there is a view of the sea with a drop of 28 meters. Even in a very small space we have created a tiny, very comfortable home with bathroom with shower and kitchen with induction plate, electric oven, fridge and dishwasher. As the house is very windy and fresh on the cliff we have also equipped with air conditioning to refresh it in the rare days of calm. In addition, guests of the crab, to connect with the world, can enjoy TV and WIFI. The apartment has a comfortable double sofa bed and, for emergencies, there is also a third place on an inflatable bed.
The apartment is in the historic center in the pedestrian area, nestled between the suites of the Grotta Palazzese hotel. You can also access the house with rickshaws or the Ape Piaggio. Guests will feel a unique experience because while staying in a house, in fact it seems to be on the boat, you can hear the sea night and day and witness the passage of ships and ferries in the distance and boats of all kinds under the balcony including touristic caves.
By day and night you can have lunch on the balcony creating unforgettable romantic dinners cradled by the sea and the piano bar of the Grotta Palazzese hotel.

The location is in the heart of the old town. Stepping out the door you’re in the midst of restaurants, cafes, shopping and the sights. The sea view from the balcony is stunning. Los of boats all day long. A few caveats to consider when planning your stay a this property. Parking is available but off site at a cost per day. We used a service where the owner of the lot took us to the property in a golf cart with all our luggage and we had in/out privileges. Host will recommend and help with the reservation. It’s really a studio apartment not a one bedroom. Also the balcony has a small table and two chairs. Hot water is at a minimum for a long shower. We had plenty but our showers were quick. Host was very responsive. Kitchen had all you needed with a two burner induction cooktop. Grocery store was a 7 minute walk and well stocked. Restaurants were literally outside your door. Very lively with musicians playing in the evenings in the many plazas. If you want to be in the heart of Polignano a mare, this your place. Very comfortable for a couple.

Amazing views! Very close to everything you would want to see and do in Polignano a Mare, including the train station. Couple of drawbacks: communication with the host was difficult, limited hot water in the shower, limited towels. Everything else in the experience made up for it though. It was really that amazing!

This is a hidden gem, not to be missed! The location is perfect and the place is so cute but the view from the patio will take your breathe away-breath taking and so romantic too! Thank you for being a wonderful hostess and sharing your place with us. We will be back.
