This is an absolute gem. A quiet, green refuge tucked behind Boboli Gardens, away from the crowds, dust and noise but an easy walk to everything Florence has to offer (5 minutes walk to Porta Romana and bustling Oltrarno, 30 to Ponte Vecchio). The flat is beautiful, comfortable and very functional. We were two people but it would easily accommodate 4 adults. Impeccably clean. Check-in was refreshingly old-fashioned: we were met at the door by a real human being, the host's relative who lives upstairs! And what a warm welcome. She greeted us warmly and offered useful information. What's more, she had baked us a lovely cake! There was also a jar of excellent homemade marmalade. Not only is the flat itself lovely, we had access to a lush and leafy private garden with table and chairs. What a treat! Communication with Maurizio, the host, was prompt, professional and friendly. One could not ask for a better host. The location is perfect for those who want to get away from the sometimes unbearable atmosphere of Florence in tourist season (well, in any season really) but still be effectively in the heart of the city. The house is in a quiet, village-like cluster of homes on a little street just off the main road that goes to Piazzale Michelangelo and San Miniato. It's great for those who like to walk. But the #12 and 13 buses that circle the city are just down the block for those who prefer to ride. The closest supermarket is a 10 minute walk. I give my highest recommendation!

We enjoyed our stay in this spacious apartment in a lovely quiet area of Florence. We were greeted by Francesca when we arrived and were delighted to find that she had baked a cake for us. The apartment is very convenient for the Boboli gardens and the Pitti Palace, both of which can be reached within a 15-20 minute walk. The Oltrarno area nearby is also full of restaurants and a few small supermarkets. It was nice to have a quiet little garden to sit in and relax after a day walking around Florence. This is an ideal place for a couple who don't mind a little walking although there are bus stops nearby which have frequent buses running to the city centre.

This apartment is in the ideal location for couples who want to explore Florence, but don’t want a holiday driven by the frenetic pace of such a popular tourist location. The setting is peaceful, with a lovely tree-lined walk down to Porta Romano, where, if you wish, you have the choice of a myriad of buses which will take you to different parts of the city. Or you can walk into the centre, as we did, and get a feel for the city before you hit the tourist hotspots. The apartment is clean and well-maintained, an excellent holiday apartment. Attention has been paid to practical details that make life easier; providing detergent for the washing machine, for example, It fully meets the description provided by the owner, which was very pleasing and not always the case. Maurizio was most helpful in communicating with us prior to our stay and Francesca speaks English, so was there to advise, should we need any support. We had a lovely visit to Florence and would recommend this apartment.

This is a beautifully furnished, comfortable, extremely quiet apartment, located away from the busy areas of Florence but not too far to walk for those in good health. The kitchen is well-appointed, the bath is spacious, the mattress is excellent. Maurizio, Ms Francesca and Ms Valentina were absolutely welcoming, gracious and efficient. Thank you!
