This is a great place to stay in Kanazawa. The house is very central, and the Higashi Chaya district is only a few minutes away. The hosts are also very friendly and welcoming, and I had a great stay. I would recommend staying here to anyone looking for a place to stay in Kanazawa!

I arrived in the early morning via an overnight bus but the host allowed me to check in and had shower which is very considerate amid this weather. The location is close to the east Chaya attraction. The host basically let the guest to use their house and stay in their own room when guest was there.

The guest house is almost 30 minutes on foot from the kanazawa train/bus station especially when with luggages

This is a really nice place to stay. Owners are very sweet and make sure you have everything you need. Room is in japanese style with futon in a quiet street. It was pretty spacious. Location is great too, everything can be done by walking. I would definitely come back again.

Host is very friendly and welcoming. Room is spacious, clean and comfortable. Bathroom/toilet are also very clean. Host cooked me a good breakfast. And the co-host, GAO was the highlight!

Gao was incredibly cute and polite. The couple who own the house were also spectacular. Everything was great!

Gao is locked in a cage all day :( a dog has needs to be met and has to roam freely in the house. he looks sad and does not react or play. Please let him out of the cage! it’s important for his well-being :( :( :(

Great little place and the single room was a good size for a solo traveller or couple. The owner is great - welcoming and ready to help. Gao (the dog) is very well trained!

Staying at Sharehouse GAOoo has made Kanazawa the highlight of my trip. Soku-san and his wife are such incredibly genuine and kind people, I felt so welcome and taken care of. The house is so nice and cozy, they constantly make sure the shared spaces is tidy and it always looked like new when I used the bathroom (simple things like folding the toilet paper) I would highly recommend staying here if you are in Kanazawa! The bus stop is literally 2 mins from the house and I loved the Yakitori restaurant few steps away and the public sento bath house right near by! Thank you again for the most wonderful memories!

Couldn't ask for a better location! And the owners are some of the kindest people I've met. Highly recommend.

+ The Shiba Inu is very cuddly and friendly + The couple running the Share House is very welcoming, friendly and helpfull + Clean and modern facilities + Located in a quiet area near the Higashi tea house district (just a 10 min walk) + Three onsen nearby!

- The futon was not very thick. Although I slept well on it, I can imagine not everyone will. - 20 min walk to Kanazawa station. Alternatieve is a bus, but you either need a buspass (available at the station) or the exact change for the fare (200 yen).

Free laundry (!), staff very kind, space clean and comfortable.

Curfew at night (but it is understandable and completely no pressure).
