Nestled in Buzzards Bay, this charming house for $575 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Four bedroom direct beach front waiting for your arrival. Enjoy all beach activities at your doorstep! Kitchen opens to dining area which opens to living room with deck overlooking the beach and bay. Gas grill, portable fire pit, clambake boiler included. Ask about local kayak rentals, my guests get a discount!. All Cape Cod has to offer without the traffic. Near the Cape Cod Canal, Maritime Academy, Onset beach, amusements and many other activities. Indian Mound is a quiet private association beach. Buttermilk Bay is a protected inlet and is like a large lake with tides. It's great for swimming, fishing, shell fishing, boating etc... and opens to Buzzards Bay and the Cape Cod canal. It's a great beach for everyone including families and kids. The whole bay is pretty much visible from the front yard! There's a no-boating swim area steps from the yard! It's not an ocean beach with rolling waves and crashing surf but those are nearby. There's also an awning covered patio with a picnic table and adjacent grilling area that's not shown in the pictures!. Washer, dryer, A/C, Xfinity cable & wifi. Reservations are from Saturday to Saturday. Discount available for multiple week reservations. Also available as a 2br winter rental. Ask for details. You'll love the beach house!

We loved this property and it was an amazing location! We had 5 children with us ranging in ages 2-12 and they all loved the beach! The house fit 9 of us comfortably. We will def be back next year! Jim was a great host.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Our group consisted of a grandmother (me), a daughter and her husband, and their two children, ages 4 and 11 months. The beach was in our back yard, it’s great for little ones as there are virtually no waves, and the roped off swimming area is very shallow. The weather was quite warm while we were there but the room air conditioners were up to the task. The house itself was spacious and had an extra closed off ‘wing’ that was perfect for this grandmother! The kitchen was good sized, there are two bathrooms, one with a tub. It was close by to restaurants, shopping and activities, such as a go cart place and a water park. All in all, we had a great time, and the owner was very responsive and took great care of us.

The beach and the house were not what we expected for the price. We didn't want to use the bedroom located directly behind kitchen, because of the numerous water stains on ceiling. We were concerned about leak and mold. We had problem with lots of ants on counters and in our food. We also had a problem with the 2nd and 3rd burners of grill turning on, even though plenty of propane. We notified Jim about leak, ants, and grill and he responded quickly. He said roof was fixed last year, brought over new propane tank for grill even though that was not the issue, and stated he would spray for ants between renters, as we didn't want chemicals sprayed while we were there with the children. I also suggest that more than one hand towel be provided in the bathrooms, so when one is being washed, another can be used. There were plenty of bath towels. There didn't seem to be properly fitting lids for pots and pans. The house could be cleaned better before renters come in. There was the smell of urine in the bathroom and stale cigarette smell in back rooms. We have been renting near 25 years now in different locations, and this is 1st time I have left a negative comment.

Our family had a wonderful vacation and will definitely rent this house again! It was well stocked with kitchen items and comfy beach chairs! Loved being able to watch from the spacious deck or family room. Air conditioners worked great which made sleeping a breeze!

We had sooooo much fun on our vacation at the beach house. The photos do not do the house justice, there was so much room for our family to spread out. The beach is located right outside the back door and it was never over crowded. The water was perfect for swimming and during low tide you can walk out to sand bar. The neighborhood was quiet and everyone we talked to was welcoming and so nice. Jim was an amazing host and was quick to answer and questions we had. We’re definitely planning on renting again. Thank you so much for everything!!!

This property was perfect for my family, baby and toddler safe. Plenty of room for 3 couples +1 and 2 kiddos. Additional family rented a couple houses down and we were able to host the whole group comfortably for meals. Jim was a great host and quick to respond to our questions. Would absolutely recommend and are looking forward to staying again.

Had the perfect beach vacation here with my kids. The property was beautiful and well maintained with everything you could possibly need. The house is right on the beach, pictures on the listing were very accurate, but still don't do it justice. Beautiful safe beach on the bay, perfect for kids and families with a roped off swimming area and swingset on the sand. The beach and neighborhood was very quiet, never crowded, and everyone was very respectful. Very convenient location to restaurants, stores and entertainment. Property owner was very responsive before and during my visit. This vacation was just what we needed, thank you!

Family Vacation
My family and I love this property. It is our 4th year renting this property and will come back every year. It is the perfect location and being right on the beach is incredible. The house is big enough for our extended family who visit during the day. The house is comfortable and well-maintained. The property owner is responsive, attentive, and very friendly.

The communication with the owner was great; answering all my questions timely. Couldn't have asked for a better location - sitting in the sun and then walking off the beach to the shaded lawn. Enjoyed our beach escape!

nice area and cottage was neat and clean, directly in front of beach which was nice for kids. Kitchen supplied with everything you needed for the week, dishes, silverware, pots & pans, etc. This was our first time in that area, loved it and will be back. Hoping all the restaurants will be open inside next time! :) Thanks for a nice week.

Very nice stay at the beach house
The best parts of renting this property are the location and the owner.
The location is wonderfully located on the beach front of a tidal bay that is not crowded and was terrific for our stay during Covid . The other neighboring properties had steps going down to the beach while this was directly on the beach itself. You could just go for a swim and return back to the patio or lawn if you wanted. Another advantage of the location is its close to a nice coffee place and great Lobster restaurant - both just 2 min drives. There is also a supermarket about 1.5 miles away.
The owner Jim is very responsive to any issues and was great to deal with. That really is important.
We really enjoyed having the easy access to the water and beach as well as grilling with a nice view of the bay. The house itself is functional for a family to enjoy a beach stay.

Wonderful
The house is exactly as pictured and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. Being right on the bay was so convenient - we could enjoy the hammock, chairs and glider and the shade in the yard and then pop right down to the beach with our kayaks or for a swim. Jim thought of everything right down to beach chairs and sand toys and was a wonderful host.

Beach House!
We just spent two weeks at the beach house with our four kids. Location can't be beat, the back deck is 20 feet from the sand and 50 feet from the water. Importantly, the house is just before the bridge to the Cape so you're not dealing with Cape traffic all the time but if you want to head over you're 5 mins from the bridge. The house is not fancy but very functional for a family. There are two bedrooms in the front of the house and two in the back so you can spread out if need be. We barbequed on the back grass every night and ate most breakfasts on the porch. The WIFI was very strong if you need to work from the house. Jim was a real gem and very communicative from the time of booking all through our stay. If you're looking for a beach vacation in a low-key, laid back setting, this is a great option.

Perfect Family Vacation Spot
This is the 3rd year that my sister and I rented this property for a week long vacation. The house and location are perfect for us as well as visits from our extended family. Our family loves being on the beach and this property is situated on beautiful Buttermilk Bay. It is quiet and the neighbors are so friendly. Jim is a great property owner...very attentive to our needs and responds quickly to any issues or questions. Hoping we will be able to rent this property for many years to come.

Perfect family cottage
Our family loved our time at this cottage. It was the perfect size for our family of 5, right on an awesome private beach and in a great neighborhood (the neighbours were great too, offering up extra beach toys and child sized kayaks). It's located close to a highway for easy travel, but still far enough away you have no idea it's there.
Jim was great as a property owner and very responsive to the couple questions that popped up during the week.
While this area isn't an annual vacation spot for us, we're definitely reconsidering making this an annual trip and would love to return to this property again!

Perfect location for a family vacation
This is 2nd time we have rented this house that is located right on the beach. The location is perfect for our family as well as our extended family who visited during the day. The owner is very responsive and the house was very clean. The house is close to Route 6, but it is so secluded. We plan to make this a yearly tradition going forward.
P.S. If you are thinking of renting, you will need to bring your own dry goods (toilet paper, paper towels, etc...).

Great home in a perfect location!
The house was perfect for our needs. Well stocked, very clean and plenty of space for everyone. All you need to bring is your clothing and food! Step off the deck onto a small yard, then onto the beach and relaxation awaits. The views from the living room and deck are amazing.We'd definitely rent here again.

It had everything we needed. It was immaculately clean.
We enjoyed ever day even when it rained. Kitchen was easy to work in and very well equipped. We found everything you needed to make pasta sauce and a clam boil. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were complete. But it was the view that made the week. We had storms, complete stillness, and a magnificent orange full moon. Everyone agreed it was a spectacular week. Thank you for sharing your family cottage with my family.
