Situated in James Island, this lovely house for $612 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Please Note: This property is in a quiet residential community and, Folly Beach has a strict noise ordinance violation rule of 1 strike. Respect neighbors, keep the noise down, and NO parties. Welcome to 1661 East Ashley Ave! This ocean views 3BD/1BA home is on the rental market only in the summer months. It accommodates up to 7 guests and is located on the quiet end of E Ashley Avenue, close to Morris Lighthouse and the famous Washout for surfing. The house is well-maintained and provides a perfect spot for a short getaway or a week-long vacation. There is a Public Beach Access about 3 houses down for easy beach access. Folly Beach, or as locals refer to it, The Edge of America, is a laid-back, golf-cart-friendly community with many great restaurants, a booming nightlife, plenty of shopping, water activities, and water tours. For more historic exploring, the famous Downtown Charleston is only a 25-minute ride, which offers endless fine dining, shopping, historical sites, and more. There is something for everyone here. We promise you will Folly in love with this beautiful island! Although not confirmed by the city, work is expected to start around early March until mid-August 2024 and will be focused one block at a time. While we expect this to be a net positive to everyone (more sand and larger beaches), there is a small chance there will be construction on the beach and/or beach closures near this home. The city has not provided any further information on more precise dates, scheduling, or sequencing. But you can stay informed with the latest by visiting the City of Folly Beach's website. Please note that our office does not have any more information than what is posted online, and we are not responsible for any beach disruptions caused by the re-nourishment during your stay. Notes You must be at least 25 Years old to rent this home. The beach path in front of the house is private property and not for guest's use. There is a Public Beach Access about 3 houses down for easy beach access. Contactless Check-In: This home offers a KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM, and we will provide the code before your arrival date. There is plenty of parking in the driveway. We do not provide beach equipment, but anything available at the property is yours to use. Check-in time: 4 pm. Check-out time: 10 am. The Folly Beach NOISE ORDINANCE is from 10 pm to 8 am. No pets allowed. Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy dogs are not service animals under Title II and Title III of the ADA and are not allowed in properties unless specifically designated in writing as “pets considered” and approved by our office. No smoking is allowed in or outside of the house. House parties, weddings, functions, events, bands, DJs, etc., are prohibited. The occupancy can be at most 7 people at any time during your stay. We require 50% payment at the time of booking. The remaining 50% of your balance will be due 30 days before the check-in date, and we will run the card on file. Bookings within 30 days of your arrival date require full payment at the time of booking. 12 miles to Downtown Charleston. 22 miles to Charleston Airport. NoiseAware is a smart home device that measures decibel levels, is 100% privacy compliant, and does NOT listen or record. If the noise level exceeds the legal limit for FB, you will receive a friendly reminder text message to turn the noise down. This will help avoid any violations with the FB police that can result in fines and revocation of the homeowner's business license. Suppose the occupancy is misrepresented or a disturbance is reported at the property. In that case, we reserve the right to terminate your rental agreement and will require that you vacate the property immediately without a refund. However, we are committed to your and our community's comfort, so please let us know if we can do anything during your stay to make it more enjoyable. This was our second year staying at this home. It was clean and well stocked. The location is perfect on a quieter part of the island. Everything was in excellent working order. My only suggestion for improvement would be the same as last year and that would be to get some kind of window covering for the living area windows. We look forward to future stays at this lovely home! Thank you for your review and your feedback. We are so glad that you enjoyed the great location and making memories. We enjoyed our stay here so very much. Perfect for family of six especially with the outdoor shower. We loved the easy access to the beach through the fenced backyard. We very much enjoyed this Beach house. My suggestions are to replace the door mat with one that actually works and doesn't get blazing hot. That's an easy one. This one is a biggie, and by biggie, I mean a no brainer…..since there is only one bathroom for the three bedroom house, enclose the outside shower. Should not be hard or too expensive. It was nice having hot water there. Also the outside hose could be a better one and longer so we could rinse the sand away from the shower area. The kitchen was very well outfitted. When we first walked in you could see and smell it was clean.The view was beautiful. It was like having our own private beach. The outdoor shower was a great idea.In the afternoons you could go under the deck to the breezeway and enjoy. Loved the fenced in yard for my small dog,he enjoyed it very much as well. YES, I would agree with bright and charming, great location! 5 stars to the housekeeper as the rental was very clean, kitchen was well stocked with everything that you would need. To be listed as a beach front, ocean front property and even list in the description “beach path” is extremely misleading. Yes there is a path from the house directly to the beach and yes it is directly on the beach at the ocean. But to take that path and then get on the beach or to the ocean, you have to master a 3 foot drop off the sand embankment down to the beach. No where does it mention their check out process either. Load the dishwasher and take out trash (pretty normal) but then gather all the towels, bed sheets, pillow cases, hand towels, bath towels and put them in the mesh laundry bags and place them at the front so the laundry service can get them?? Also, if there is carpet or rugs they provide a vacuum and want you to vacuum them before leaving. Not sure why you have to pay such a high cleaning fee and linen fee if your required to do all that. I’m sure they say it says on the sheet “if you don’t mind” but then if you don’t you’re technically breaking their house rule and they could put a claim with Vrbo against you. Very poorly managed by this property management company.
