The high rating I have bestowed on this establishment is due to the professionalism, bonhomie and friendliness of Sebastian, the smiling chap who welcomed me on arrival.
His manner and thoroughness was a surprise in a world in which hotel staff are all too quick to get rid of you after you hand over your gold. Sebastian explained the hotel rules, tourist attractions and other offerings - he made even the mundane seem exciting.
I thank Sebastián again and wish him good fortune and prosperity.
The hotel itself is rather charming and is surrounded by happy chickens that run around clucking. It is a picturesque scene fitting of the overall idyllic scene of Salento. The view you have from the rustic shutters will awaken the heart of the most faithless of cynics.
The room was large enough and the bathroom was of exceptional cleanliness.
It must also be noticed that the price is very fair for Salento and you definitely receive more for staying here rather than an expensive chain hotel.
Despite the overwhelming positives on this establishment, I must raise a few points of improvement. All in good faith and without malice.
I am always grateful for housekeeping to enter my hotel room when I am out so that they can complete light cleaning duties. However, this must be agreed with the guest beforehand. It is an unpleasant feeling to return from a day of hiking and suspect someone has been in your room. The fix here is very simple: tell your guests that housekeeping will enter the rooms to empty bins and replenish towels.
A slight downer is that this hotel has a huge long list of rules to follow, almost like a school. It's only a minor gripe and I can only suspect that previous guests behaviour fell well below the acceptable level.
These are small comments and I encourage all tourists to stay here for a comfortable and refreshing stay in Salento.

The owner is so friendly and helpful. I enjoy my stay here. Its less than 10 minutes walk to the plaza and in a quiet area. Room is clean and comfortable. The owner even brought me from the hostel to armenia bus station after i check out. Totally recommended

Very noisy (rooster inside and outside the house), walls are really thin so you hear every other guests, bad luck when they slam doors, speak loudly and vomit until 3am and wake up screaming at 7:30
