La colazione, il terrazzino e la posizione erano le uniche cose buone. Anche se sul terrazzino le sedie erano tutte trasandate o con cacca di piccione o mezze rotte quindi abbiamo utilizzato il muretto.
Per il resto hanno tanto lavoro da fare per migliorare. Soprattutto lo staff che fa il check in deve cercare di essere piu accogliente, gentile, meno frettolosi e approssimativi e soprattutto chiaro nelle direzioni. Il check in deve essere piu organizzato. Ci hanno fatto aspettare 35 min sotto la pioggia con una bimba di 1 anno al gelo....nonostante gli avessimo detto esattamente tra quanto arrivassimo. Terribile.
Il letto del soppalco è scomodissimo in quanto è in discesa quindi non abbiamo chiuso occhio tra letto scomodo e copertina leggera e piccola in pieno inverno. In piu il termosifone aveva solo due tubi funzionanti gli altri 3 erano freddi.
La cucina/ bagno puzzavano di fogna. L'intera casa puzzava di umido.
Non è un appartamento silenzioso. Sinse te assolutamente tutto dalla gente che passa dalle stradine che circondano la casa.
La proprietà non è stata in grado di assisterci quando abbiamo chiesto di spostare i giorni o fornirci un voicher a causa di una brutta emergenza famigliare accaduta la sera prima.
Sono stati scortesi e ci hanno detto "venite o non venite perdete tutti i soldi tanto la stanza è stata già pagata". Zero collaborazione in un momento cosi brutto e delicato. Mai visto prima. Abbiamo quindi dovuto trovare qualcuno che prendesse il posto di uno degli ospiti che non è potuto venire per assistere il padre in ospedale.
Il servizio cloenti di Booking.com invece sono stati gentilissimi, hanno davvero cercato di fare di tutto per aiutarci e espresso empatia e dispiacere al contrario dello staff che invece non ha assolutamente fatto mezzo sforzo per cercare di aiutare. Freddissimi.

La posizione, sia per parcheggio auto sia per la vista meravigliosa.
Per un errore mio di prenotazione, il primo giorno abbiamo soggiornato nella stanza a piano terra che si affaccia sul cortile.... aprono la stanza ed il tanfo di umido!! I vestiti si sono impregati di odore sgradevole.... lo staff gentilissimo il giorno dopo ci fa spostare nell'appartamento con terrazzo... molto meglio... e con terrazzino privato con vista meravigliosa!!! Purtroppo in uno dei letti non mettono il piumoncino... a novembre!!!!!!!!! L'indomani facciamo presente delle mancanza e semplicemente ci dicono "ci dispiace MA NON ABBIAMO TROVATO IN CAMERA IL SECONDO PIUMONCINO..... " senza parole e notte agghiaccio!!!! nell'appartamento, dispostosto su due piani comunicanti con una scaletta a chiocciola, presente un solo condizionatori e posizionato male in quanto nella parte alta della scaletta vicino uscita terrazzino!!!!

A város hangulata, a környék, az épületek mind lenyűgözőek voltak. A fürdőszoba kialakítása is rendben volt.
Irgalmatlan dohos volt a levegő, noha folyamatosan ment egy rendkívül zajos párátlanító készülék, ami mellett nem lehetett aludni. Olyan hideg és büdös volt a szálláson, mint egy szellőzetlen, dohos pincében. Nem voltak ablakok, amik által szellőztetni tudtunk volna, noha kint kellemesen langyos volt a levegő.

The view is exceptional. It was good to stay in a high quality place with luxury linen and it was very quiet in the room.
I thought it would be on the ground floor as advertised and technically it was, but being Matera it was down a few flights of stairs.

The location was top notch - in the maze of the narrow streets stood a small, cute house with 360-degree views of all Matera could offer! The roof terrace offered a large parasole as well and the first-floor bedroom's balcony doors opened to a magnificent view. Also, there was an espresso machine and pods / free water included, and bathroom was well equipped with all necessary toiletries and nice set of towels. The lady who welcomed us was very accommodating and friendly.
The property seemed a little run-down - chairs on the terrace were all broken (not to the point of unusable, but just one step removed) and the curtains in the bathroom fell down upon a touch... The AC was located above the second-floor bedroom and cooled only that. First-floor bedroom had to make do with a fan. And then there are Very Narrow stairs that are very difficult to navigate. Especially in the dark. I had to use the bathroom at night, slipped and broke my toe. So, we will not return.

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL AS WE MISSED BREAKFAST DAY ONE DUE TO VERY POOR INSTRUCTIONS AND NO ADDRESS, DESPITE OUR REQUESTS, AS THEY ONLY SENT PHOTOS THAT WERE S CONFUSING THAT EVEN THE LOACLS COULDNT UNDERSTAND THEM. THEN WHEN THEY FINALLY GAVE US AN ACTUAL ADDRESS, WE DID MAKE IT THE NEXT DAY WE FOUND VERY LITTLE CHOICE AND MOSTLY PRE PACKAGED TASTELESS OPTIONS WITH STALE CEREAL IN JARS.
the advert states air conditioning however this was a lie as the air con was non functional and only in stairway. No air con in bedrooms which were like a hot oven all day and all night. there was not even a fan in the rooms but after much protest they supplied only one fan that was old and noisy and just blew hot air. The mattress in one opf the bedrooms had bed fleas and my friend was cpoovered with bites that she is still trying to heal from 2 weeks later. The manager and the liaison person were so rude and aggressive and even became mocking.They were un interested in trying to resolve but rather just ignore our pleading. They finally sent someone in to clean the place as it was filthy upon arrival, like it hadnt been touched except to make trhe beds. The cleaning staff were lovely and soooo apologetic. These people have no right to advertise such poor accommodation and theior lack of people skills shows they have no idea how to resolve with kindness and compassion. Stay away. There are so many nice places to book. This is not one of them. It completely ruined our experience of Matera and in our two months of tarvel, the only place we hated!

WE HAD A NIGHTMARE OF AN EXPERIENCE WITH THE BOOKING WE MADE FOR THE PREVIOUS TWO DAYS WITH NO AOIR CON SO WHEN THIS BOOKING CAME UP WE WERE SENT TO A PROPERTY TAHT DID HAVE AIR CON HOWEVER AS SOON AS WE ENTERED WE COULD NOT BELIEVE THE OVERWHELMING SMELL OF MOULD IN EVERY SECTION OF THE BUILDING. WE EVEN TOOK PHOTOS AND SENT THEM TO BOTH THE MNAGEMENT AS WELL AS BOOKING.COM AS WE REPORTED THIS PLACE AS A HEALTH RISK.

Beautiful location in the old town, so close to everything you need to see in Matera. The private rooftop terrace is an added bonus - the perfect place to have dinner, watch the sunset and see the city light up!

Excellent location - quiet area and walking distance to the central busy streets, close to a street which is accessible by car for taxi transfers, located on the west hill so it gets morning sun and avoids hot afternoon sun, and stunning views of the cathedral lit by the evening sun.
Apartment with terrace kitchenette is very well equipped for cooking meals and supplied with herbal teas, ground coffee, salt and sugar: 2 gas burners, espresso coffee pot, electric kettle, pots, pans, cutting board, dish drainer, tea towel, cleaning equipment, kitchen paper roll, utensils, cutlery. Note that there was no kitchen knife for chopping meat but we didn't need this as the cutlery knife was sufficient for fruit and vegetable.
Our host was friendly and excellent. She arranged the taxi transfer from the airport for us, met us at the accommodation and took time to explain how things worked to ensure we have a comfortable stay and provided recommendations for food (excellent local market sells cheap fruit and vegetables, with nearby bakery) and how much time to spend in Alberobello excursion from Matera.
Apartment with the terrace has its air conditioning unit located above the stairwell (i.e. third/terrace level), and the cool air doesn't quite reach the bedroom on the first level even with the door open. Thankfully there is a fan available for use. The "open" bedroom on the second level gets the cool air perfectly.
I was asked to sign an Italian contract (English translation provided) for the apartment during check-in to confirm the dates of stay and responsibility for any damage/loss caused. This was unexpected and there was no inventory list to check against so it would be difficult to prove damage/loss caused by us or a previous occupier. I think guests should be notified in advance of this arrangement when booking the accommodation, and the host should provide an inventory list or existing defects so that the guests should not feel responsible for existing defects.
The bedroom sizes were sufficient for 3 of us, however it was tricky to know where to sit for food when the terrace was too hot during the day. There was a small extendable table in the kitchen/hallway but the area was too small for us so we ended up in the bedroom downstairs when it wasn't hot or bedroom upstairs with the air conditioning.

The comforter cover wasn't soft, and the comforter was a bit heavy. I would suggest some sheets and bed cover for people who would prefer those.

We had the two-bedroom apartment with the small balcony and the roof terrace, which has a splendid view over the old town and the sasso barisano, with the duomo in the background. The apartment is very small but comfortable, and has a nice atmosphere, but the view makes this a truly wonderful place to stay.
The apartment lies in a no-traffic zone, below a flight of stairs, and is therefore very difficult to reach with luggage. Parking is also problematic, even in early May on a week-day (on one night all parking spaces within a circle of 500 meters were filled up, so we had to use a parking garage further away which cost 15 Euros). The kitchen is too small for cooking, and there is no sitting area in the apartment.

The property was very pretty, had a scenic view right outside the door, every rooms were very spacious.
We found black mold at the living room and bathroom, which my boyfriend wa allergic to, fortunately we had a travel air cleaner to temporary resolved this issue.

The view of the Sassi from the 1st floor balcony and the third floor terrace are spectacular. The apartment is spacious, comfortable and a short walk from the restaurants and stores in the new town. There is no WiFi, but everything else more than makes up for that

This is a typical old Basilicata-house with 3 floors. 2 with rooms and a terrasse on the roof top - with a stunning view on Sasso Barisono.
The rooms are simple but very comfortable - just as we like it. A plus: we had very hot weather in June. If you come as a couple you can easily decide if you would like to sleep in the room with or without air conditioning.
At 6pm you can watch the many falcons hunting from the terrasse - witch is quite impressive.
The host Tina is very nice, welcomes you warmly and helps you with everything you ask for.
We miss now not only Matera but also this place we could spend 5 wonderful nights. Mille grazie to Tina. :)
