Perfect place for us to wind down after 3 weeks of non stop travel, everyone there was super nice and made our stay very relaxing and enjoyable. the location and the restaurant is next level, we’ll worth every dollar. would definitely go back.
would have loved a little hire boat to go and explore a bit, but then again doing nothing was exactly what we wanted

Villa Rava is a very beautiful place! A little get away from everything. A lovely shady(!) private beach with crystal clear water. Ideal for snorkeling, swimming, SUP or kayaking (both available free of charge). It is only accessible by boat, no neighbours, no roads, just a little hiking trail along the coast to Rava. It is nice and quiet during the day and becomes lively in the afternoon when the boats with the lunch and dinner guests arrive. Food is pricy but its big sailor portions for the boat jet set. The included breakfast was very good. The team is just lovely, very attentive, friendly and helpful.
I slept wonderfully to the sounds of the sea and the chirping of the crickets. Nice place to relax! I started each morning with a long Kayak tour. There is so much fish to see as the water is so clear!
The owner will pick you up by boat at the ferry in Rava and take you back. He was so nice to even take me to the ferry in Zaglav as there is no connection to Rava on a Sunday.
I had a great break. Thank you for everything!

Perfect place for a rest. The staff is super friendly and of course the food. Delicious food, gorgeous view, and smiling people - these are all you can find there.

The best one we have been to in Croatia so far - just love it. Amazing food, lovely people, cool, cozy, calm and 5*extra for the dogs. We felt really welcome, equally when we were on our own the first day, as much as among the private boat guests. Thank you for your hospitality!

restaurant was rather pricy but the speedboattrip made it well

Beautiful little bay, great charming rooms, very good food, and very good service from the staff.
I don't know if the owner had a few bad days in a row, but during the days I was there, it didn't seems at all as a person who works in hospitality, but rather it almost seemed that he was doing us a favour us being there. Is worth mentioning that having to wait 35 minutes at the ferry port, when I have messaged the owner 24 hours before, regarding our arrival, and being hang up on the phone upon arrival and not finding anyone, being shouted 'I cannot talk right now', was not the best start of a vacation. Even though he apologized. Besides this, my disappointment, and reason for a negative review, is that I have booked this accomodation for the fact of having a restaurant by the sea, however it was a huge disappointment to say the least to apprehend, that as a guest of the hotel(3 night stay), I could not book for a table at night time, but my only choice was to be relegated in a inside terrace with no view to the sea from the table, packed with other tables next to us, also hotel guests who are seated there with no option but to seat there, with cutleries/plates/glasses wich differs from the ones that are served to the tables by the sea. When I have asked why I could not seat or book, even if days ahead a table by the sea I was given the answer'Those tables are only for guests that come with the boat'. Take in mind that that night had 90% of the table free, therefore after insisting, I said that it was completely empty, and it was 9:30pm, I was given a table, the only table outside the terrace without the sea in front(the owner had the best table of the restaurant reserved for him each night) which had a palm covering the view. In a few words, the hotel divides into two class the guests, the ones that stay in the hotel, and the ones that come by boat, even if they come just for dinner.

Terrific breakfast, fresh fruit, eggs, pancakes à la carte; really nice place with small private beach, free SUPs for use (including tag-along-dog); very calm, perfect for relaxing; next village/supermarket/post office is 1km away (either walking or by boat); very good food (pricey though), seems to be a yachting/skipper hotspot for dinner.
Quite pricey place to eat and no real alternatives except for one restaurant in Vela Rava (Mala Rava is almost too far) but the food is very good and it could've been expected. The Minibar/fridge did not work, neither did the air conditioning in the room work properly (started to heat instead of cool down after some twenty minutes). However, opening the windows once the sun set did help (at least when there was wind).

We stayed the night. No AC.

Outstanding experience. We stayed at Villa Rava for a week (we booked a room). The half-board option is 100% worth it: the food is delicious, the portions are very generous, and it includes drinks, starters, dessert: basically anything you fancy. You have to try the homemade cakes, they're delicious. The included breakfast is also good.
The service is also great. I stayed with my pregnant wife (6th month) and the staff has been really nice and went the extra mile several times to make her comfortable.
There is a small beach right next to the villa (not even a 1-minute walk) with crystal clear blue water. You should bring flip-flops or water shoes though since it's small rocks (not sand), but the water temperature (mid-July) was perfect (clearly above 25C). There are also bean bags and an outdoor lounge; we could use their stand-up paddles at no extra cost. There are also two dogs at the property that are awesome and really nice. They both watch the swimming area and will warn if they feel like someone fell in the water, and the smaller one will tag along for a ride on the stand-up paddle (she's very cute and playful).
The host also offered us to take a small boat trip to the national park but ended up not going as it didn't seem like the best trip idea with someone pregnant (a lot of heat and sun for half a day).
And since the villa itself is quite isolated, it is a great place to go if you want a quiet place to rest and have a great lazy vacation.
Last useful info: you can get there via a ferry (Jadrolinija), and the host picked us up where the ferry dropped us off (he also brought us back when we left). When you arrive, you can buy a few bottles of water at the local supermarket since the tap water isn't drinkable at the Villa -- otherwise, the Villa also has plenty of water bo
Some of the staff had limited English and didn't fully get our orders right from the get-go. They always checked in later to see if everything was ok, so we could ask again when something was missing.
The AC in the room worked but was not very strong. We ended up sleeping with the windows open as the wind from the coast brought in more fresh air.

Would be great to have some information upfront about travelling to the vila. We had no fridge, which we where expecting.

I really would like to say thanks for everything again for Ljubica and Dario, they are exceptional hosts. Everything was above our expectations, we really would like to go back.
we had to leave because our mini-holiday ended quickly.

The location was perfect for a few nights stop on our sailing adventure, as we were not sleeping on our boat. A great little beach for swimming, and a fantastic restaurant and bar. We had the octopus iron bell peka one night and it was amazing (be sure to order ahead in the afternoon)! Villa Rava is a real Croatian island experience, accessible primarily by boat and isolated in its little cove, with walking trails to the small town and around the island. The food in the restaurant is fantastic, and the staff is amazing - Dario and his family are wonderful hosts!
The listing information is not all accurate, which led to misconceptions that are unnecessary for this amazing spot. The a/c did not work, though it's cool enough at night that it wasn't really a problem (but when you arrive in the August heat it's a concerning bit of news). We'd hoped to do laundry based on the information, but that was also not available. A fantastic breakfast was included, though we didn't know that ahead of time - that should definitely be listed! Some quick updates to the page would more accurately set expectations for this wonderful stay.
