The apartment is absolutely beautiful,it makes you feel like you're staying in a villa on the French Riviera. Waking up to a ceiling like this truly makes you feel like royalty. :)
The location is great, it's close to the city center, yet once you close the windows, it's incredibly quiet. Everything was spotless, cozy, and full of charm.
Karlo was an excellent host. I would definitely recommend this place!

Located in true city centre, ground zero. And 10+ for host kindness and hospitality
hallway and stairs could use some investment. Small investment for big gain. Although even in current condition it gives a special vintage experience.

The location in Old Town was perfect. That's all.
Firstly, the accommodation was not the place on the esplanade, where we received the coordinates on Booking. It was already a red flag. Secondly, the whole check-in experience was strange to say the least: some waiter from a pub took us to an old building that looked like it could fall apart if you sneezed. The entrance was like “welcome to the ghetto nation”. Third, the apartment was old, with old furniture but at least the bathroom seemed new. The shower lacked a door/wall, the closet was shaking but who stays to count.
My impression was that it was a very "edited", to put it mildly, location. The photos on Booking probably are legit, but heavy edited/unclear. They say there are multiple locations, which certainly is true, but misleading. For us, it has been the second time in life we booked an apartment. We will never ever do that again: twice being mislead is enough. It is entirely my fault I insisted to have a central location, but we booked very late due to circumstances. I should have guessed it was too good to be true. You live and learn. Our Croatian experience was a dread.
Who should still book this place? People that only appreciate being close to sightseeing, that stay for a night. For whom, time is money...
