About this house rental
Situated in Port Austin, this charming house for $165 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. (Minimum night stay flexible by request) You will love our clean 4 bedroom/2 bath cottage as much as we do! The home is located in a quiet sub right in downtown Port Austin. Please respect our wonderful, year round neighbors. No parties allowed. Quiet hours after 11pm outside. Fully stocked with everything you need from pots and pans all the way to a beach blanket. Relax and have dinner on our deck or have cocktails on the front screened porch - both with lake views across the road (not directly on water). Walk to the Farmer's Market and restaurants in town, Paks Cafe and Beer Garden, kayak rental, marina, and the State Harbor in minutes. Bird Creek Park and Beach and splash pad are right in our neighborhood. Literally walk everywhere! (Please keep in mind that your booking amount includes a refundable security deposit when totaled). *Sleeps 10 ~Two bedrooms have Queen beds and two have full beds. Two couches in the living room if you need some more room. *Two bathrooms. One full with shower and tub and the other with shower. * Appliances: stove/oven, fridge, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. * No dishwasher or laundry facilities, however, the Coffee Bean and Clean is about 0.1 miles up the street. Grab a coffee and throw in a load of laundry if needed. * Linens provided : towels, sheets, pillows and blankets (Must bring your own beach towels) * Fire pit. Additional chairs behind house. * Huge yard for games (we have games for use) * Help yourselves to our beach blanket, beach toys tCable, wifi, DVD/VHS. We have lots of movies and you can rent even more in town at the corner Liquor Store. *Grill *Picnic Table *Central air/heat

The property is close to where my parents house was located and it always brings back great memories and old friends and family that visit. We had almost 2 weeks and it was very comfortable and well stocked so we didn’t need to worry about buying any additional essentials.
Close walk to beach and town, parking was not a problem for our 3 cars
Mary went out of her way to email and call about an item that was left by mistake and we appreciate her following through!

No closets in the small four bedrooms, and no washer-dryer facilities. The TV area was cramped with the two sofas facing each other. Porch windows are in need of repair. The best feature was the 6 minute walk to the beach and splash pad.

We like to cook, the kitchen had everything we needed. The house had lake views and was a very short walk to the beach. We loved our stay and can't wait to come back again!

Plenty of room, the host has thought of everything. It was very convenient to have a “prep”, table in the kitchen. The open floor plan helped keep food preppers part of the action. Short walk to beach. Would stay again.

Loved the location! Convenient to everything. Nice quiet neighborhood. But home was not very clean. Bathrooms were dirty. Bath rugs were dingy. A lot of cracked tiles. Windows all need a really good cleaning. Needs lots of TLC. That was a little disappointing.

We had a wonderful stay at this house. It was walkable to town and to a nice community beach, splash pad, and playground.
The house had four bedrooms and all the extras to make the stay easy and pleasant. We enjoyed mornings on the screened porch playing board games and taking in the views. The host was very thoughtful and kind. We would definitely stay here again!

This is exactly what we expected based on the description and other reviews. It’s a very quick walk to the beach or into town. The house is well kept and offers all the necessities including yard games and beach toys for added fun. The neighborhood is quiet and neighbors are friendly. We stayed 2 nights, but would have preferred to stay at least one more.

Our stay was enjoyed by all. The location of the home was in an area where the traffic was very minimal which made us comfortable with the little ones when outdoors. There was ample room for all 9 of us in the home and we will probably plan to book again for next year to continue our new tradition.

We had a wonderful time making memories with our family; spending time on the beach, making s'mores around the campfire, playing games in the evening and enjoying the shared meals.

This cottage was one of the best supplied that we have rented. We would definitely stay here again. Hostess was very communicable. Check in a piece of cake. Although it rained most of our stay the time with family is priceless.

We loved our stay at Mary's cottage! It is well situated in a quiet neighborhood within a short walk to the beach and views of Lake Huron out every window. They took extra care to provide whatever you may need during your stay -- thoughtful touches like yard games and a fully stocked kitchen for the avid cook. We so enjoyed our time at this classic family cottage and hope to return in the near future.

My family of three celebrated my daughter’s first birthday here. We were very fortunate to get some late warm weather so we walked everywhere. The grill was so clean, and the house was well stocked! The rooms were a little tight which made staying with a pack and play difficult but we made it work. Loved this place!

Great location! Loved that many rainy day activities are available (board games/movies) if needed. Would definitely visit again. Only downside was we arrived right at 3pm but cleaning person was still working and we couldn't get in until 330.

Great location! Close to downtown, shops, bakery, restaurants, coffee, Marina, parks, Pier, ice cream, biking, kayaking, fishing charters, miniature golf. Nice drives to Caseville, a Harbor Beach, Port Hope, and Bad Axe.
